In San Diego...

This past weekend we were able to travel to San Diego to attend the wedding of our friends, Jon and Rachael. We HAD to be there, since we were the ones who set them up! Finally, a set up that worked!!! Yay for us!

Jon and Scott became good friends in college, and Rachael and I grew up in the same ward back home in Michigan. Her older sister, Maggie, is one of my best friends. It was so much fun to be a part of their special day, and it was even better that it was in San Diego!

Scott and his mom (the babysitter) drove there Thursday morning, then Cam and I flew there later that evening, since I needed to work.

We all drove home on Sunday and enjoyed every minute of it!

While there, we....

Attended the sealing at the beautiful San Diego Temple. Ahhh...it was breathtaking!

Hi Mommy!

Lady and I got matching nail polish during our pedicures the night before. While we were waiting for everyone to come out of the temple, we took this shot. Can you guess which foot belongs to me??

We were able to FINALLY meet Maggie's little man, Hunter. Such a cutie pie!

Reunited and it feels sooo good...

Whenever we get together, it is like no time has past at all. We just start right where we left off! I love this girl!

We also went to... the beach in La Jolla. This is the only picture that turned out of us on the beach. (I should be banned from attempting these kind of shots!) Look at Cam, he is thinking...Mom, you don't even have it centered right!

While in La Jolla, Scott took a 2-hour Kayak tour of the caves. While he was gone, we lounged at the beach....

Met up with the Anderson Clan for dinner in Old Town

Before we left Old Town, we stopped by this yummy dessert place. It's like Yogurt Stop in Bountiful, but more fancy!

After 2 fun filled days in the city, we had to say good-bye. We headed to St. George on Sunday to stay with Scott's grandparents. I didn't want to drive straight through with Cameron. That is 11 hours plus potty/sanity breaks, I was not willing to put myself through that!

We saw a lot of these.....

Made a few stops for Lady to fill up on her Diet Coke. Can you believe this cup??? It was a bucket of Diet Coke. We called it the bladder buster...64 0z as you can see! I am happy to say, she did not finish it. (Partly because she had already had 3 - 20 oz. earlier that day!)

Once we got to St. George, Joyce had a delicious dinner waiting for us. After that, we all went for a little swim in their pool, followed by a slice of lemon meringue pie!

We went to bed and on the road we were again!

On our way home, we stopped at Larry's Drive-In in Filmore. Whenever we drive to St. George or California with Scott's family, we always stop there. They have delicious shakes!

We got a little distracted by their quarter machine. Don't ask how many quarters we used to get all these funny stickers!

We had such a fabulous time! Thank you Hulse family for having us stay with you in San Diego! Thank you Lady for coming and helping with Cam during the festivities! Thank you Corolla for being good to us! Thank you Jon and Rach for getting married...FINALLY! Thank you San Diego for showing us a good time! Thank you Grandpa and Joyce for having us!

Question for all you that live, have lived, or have been to San Diego:

Is running a red, or as some would say, half yellow, light and getting your picture taken twice in the middle of the intersection part of getting a pricey ticket??????

Yellow Orange

This past weekend a couple people made comments about Cameron's color. Then on Sunday when we went to Scott's parents, Lady's first thought...Cam looks different...
Was he sick? Just pale because he has the most pastiest parents in the world? Was he looking jaundiced?

I didn't worry too much, I knew he was getting teeth in, and to be honest, sometimes I look at him after work and think hmmm this light bulb needs to be changed, my baby is orange!

On Monday morning he woke up with a completely clean diaper. That had me a little more worried, as it is not like a 10 month old at all.
I called the Dr, and of course, they said...COME IN!

All these crazy thoughts ran through my mind as I was driving to the Dr's.

After we wait almost an hour (!!!!!!!) we see the doc who examined Cam and came to the conclusion, he was not jaundice, but did have a mild case of Carotenemia. The Dr just explained this is a harmless condition that is due to eating vegetables. I was surprised! We don't feed Cameron excessive amounts of carrots or any other vegetable, just a variety each day.

So that's that! So simple and silly, yet it will still cost me 100 dollars to my deductible!

This past weekend we...

Had dinner over at our friend's house, Ben and Annie. We had super yummy chicken kebobs on the grill. YUM!!!! Thank Annie!
They have a chicken coupe...here is Ben trying to get a hold of one so Cam can take a picture with it. It was hilarious watching him try to grab them!

We also had...

a YARD SALE! We had so much fun. We had some families in the apartment complex participate as well making it a MULTI family yard sale!

We did ok, not as well as we hoped, due to the weather. We will hopefully have one again soon when it is nicer!

We celebrated Father's Day. For dessert we had this delicious apple crisp in the crock pot! Try it!

2 - 21 oz cans of apple filling

2 1/2 cups of granola

1/3 cup of sugar

1 1/2 tsp of cinnamon

grease crock pot, pour in ingredients in order listed above, cook on low for 3 hours...ENJOY!

This is what we got Scott for Father's Day this year...

A bike trailer! It also turns into a jogger stroller as seen below.

Cam only liked it when he was moving. If I had him stop and take a picture, he would start crying.

Also, it is official, Scott is employed! He accepted a job with the Utah Grizzlies on Monday!

What relief I felt when he told me he was offered the job. I just couldn't stop crying! I get to be home with my baby again, and enjoy being a stay at home mommy!!

I will continue to work 12 hours a week, by my choice, just to get out occasionally and earn some extra spending money!

I am so grateful for our friends and family that have supported us through this tough time. I am so grateful for my job and how wonderful they have been during this as well.
Scott did such a good job taking care of Cameron. I know he is going to miss spending as much time with him, but is looking forward to getting out and working. YAY!!!!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Scott! You are such an amazing Daddy. I love watching you and Cam play together. You have grown so close these past few months you were able to stay home with him. Thank you for taking such good care of him and sticking to my schedule! Thank you for teaching him so many fun things...Mmmmm after every bite of food....head bonks....big moochies....tickles on the belly....I could go on and on.
You are such a good example to me and especially Cam. Thank you for being a great husband and father. I love you more and more each day!
WE LOVE YOU DA DA DA DA!

First haircut

I finally caved and agreed to letting Cam get a haircut. As the mini-mullet fell on the colorful floor, all I could do was hold back the tears and snap a few shots. I was so proud of him. He did not cry once! I was armed with all of his favorite toys to calm his nerves once he saw the scissors, but he sat there calmly, watching Baby Einstein, as if he had done this a 1000 times before.
I was able to gather up a few strands to put in a baggy that I will save forever.
He looks even more like a little boy. When I see the back of his head, I wait to see a toddler turn and look at me. Here I have this beautiful 10 month old growing up EVERYDAY.

He was so serious when she got close to his ears. I have trained him well. He has months of experience due to my obsession with getting every piece of wax out of his ears!

Alright Lady, I have had enough! My mom said only a TRIM!

This weekend we...

Went to the Bountiful Car Show...

Cam was so excited to see his friend Campbell there! My friend's dad was showing his car and let us put the kids in the back. I was so scared their spit would rub the paint off!!!

We went to a baptism...

This cute boy, Tito, in Scott's family ward got baptized on Saturday. (He is on the left)

His brother, Mierco, said the closing prayer. How sweet it is to hear little kids pray! He said was thankful Tito could be baptized and become a man today.

Then, I got to meet my good friend's little baby! Landon Scott. He is such a precious little man. I am so glad he is here and everything went well.

It was a great weekend. One of my favorites!

Weekend Fun

This weekend we were able to go to Park City and celebrate Danika's 1st Birthday! She is such cute little girl. She is so petite, like a little girl should be, and precious.

I absolutley love this pictures of Scott and Cam. This shows Cam's personality so well. His face is always full of expression and attitude.

Cam is starting to pull himself up on furniture more often now. He hasn't perfected the standing, but will get on his knees.
