Old and New

Here are a couple OLD pictures I have been wanting to post.

Cam used to love to have his teeth brushed, but he started to FREAK out whenever we tried. It was getting so bad, we would have to hold him down to do it. Holding him down lasted...2 nights...we both felt so guilty and had to think of another way.

 I decided to take him to the store and have him pick out a new toothbrush, toothpaste, cup and stickers and convince him brushing his teeth is the only way to have fun.

He wanted to brush his teeth before we even bought everything!

I told him if he lets us help him brush his teeth he could pick any sticker he wanted. I was stoked because HE was stoked!

Now look:

Cam has not fussed ONCE since we started this. It has been well over a month and he gets so excited to brush his chompers. My favorite thing about it? Watching him decide which puppy or kitty sticker to choose!

"Ummmm...Ummm...I want....dis PUPPY!"

Whenever you see a sticker on him, just know his teeth are glowing and he loved every minute of it!!

This weekend we took Cam to see Toy Story 3. This was his first movie in a theater. (Scott tried the dollar movies once...it didn't work out. Sorry, Alvin and the Chipmunks, you are boring!)

Cam is obsessed with Toy Story and can watch our movies at home day after day after day if we let him.

He did fantastic and we had so much fun. It was a cute movie and Cam had his eyes glued to the screen.

I think the popcorn helped. He hearts popcorn!

Scott's family was able to come with us too.

Notice how every picture he is stuffing his face with popcorn? hahaha!

There was a part in the movie that scared Cam so bad and I couldn't help but laugh.

There is a creepy monkey in one of the scenes and it makes a loud screech with buggy eyes...Cam jumped and literally SCREAMED like a girl!

Poor kid. After the movie he kept saying "Monkey scawee!"

Michigan Trip

Cam and I were able to go to Michigan recently for 10 days. We had so much fun and loved the time we were able to spend with my mom. Cam finally started to really warm up to her...2 days before we were leaving! He liked to be with her and play, but only if I was there. I couldn't do ANYTHING without him right up under me. I had to quickly learn to be even more patient since he was in a whole new place, surrounded by things he didn't know, people he never has seen and sleep in a bed that wasn't familiar. Plus, Scott wasn't there, I'm sure he thought I was going to leave him for good!!. (Scott was able to go to Boston with his dad during the same time!)

I rented a car while I was there since my mom had to work and this is what I got!!

They messed up on the rental and didn't have another option. We drove it for a day, they said they had a "special request" from another renter. I finished the week driving a Ford Escape.

The reason we went when we did is because my dear friend, Lindsey, had her sweet little boy. It was so fun to visit with her almost everyday talking about motherhood.

We went to the zoo with a couple of my friends and had a blast despite the HUMID heat. (I had forgotten quickly how humid it is there! My zits and huge hair reminded me.)

This was Cam's first visit to a zoo and he loved it. I LOOOVEE the Detroit Zoo. Way better than the one here, sorry Utah folks!

Cam loved to see the animals, but when the Tiger came close to us he squeezed me so hard and kept saying "scarweee"

Can you tell Jaden and Ava wanted to pose next to this monkey? Jaden's face is priceless.

Cam had so much fun playing with his buddies. Here is Joey and Cam.

And to my favorite part of the zoo: The Polar Bear Exhibit!

You walk through this tunnel under water and the bear and seal walk/swim all round you. It is amazing. I didn't get any shots of the polar bear swimming over us since he was mostly on land. BOOO!

We were all pooped by the end of the day. We skipped the peguins even!

Here, poor little Joey was so tired he feel asleep sitting up. His head was bobbing and it was hysterical!

It was nice to shop the gift shop with Cam sound asleep! Poor kid!

We woke the kiddos up for our last picture of the day. Thanks Erin and Amy for coming. I miss you girls so much!!

We went to the park one day just to get out and do something...

Cam was so afraid to sit on the dinosaur...I had to coax him to sit with me.

There is a HUGE mall about 15 minutes from my mom's house. They have every store you could possible think of. We went to the Disney Store and got a few things!

Cam LOVES Toy Story...

My little "Buddy" as Cam calls him.

We were able to go to a BBQ at my brother's house one night too. I was able to see some friends I haven't seen in ages and the whole McBee clan was there.

Tim was so nice to swim with Cam, since I wasn't going anywhere near the water!

The water was cold, but Cam couldn't resist staying in and shivering the whole time!

He splashed and dipped his face in the water...even tried jumping in numerous times.

The two of them in here last about .2 seconds! Long enough to take a picture though.

Cam playing with his new BFF, Aggi. It's really Alli, but that's how he says it.

ALL kids love Alli from the second they meet her.

I was able to visit with one of my cousins and her cute little boy, Adam.

We went to some of my favorite places to eat in Michigan, one being, National Coney Island. UGhhhhhh I love a hani and cheese fries. Cam liked the hot dogs!

Feast your eyes on that! It is so delicious I can't even write in words how tasty it is!

Here is a picture of us with Jacob. Cam was so nice to him, but as soon as I would hold him he would get so jealous. This picture was taken right before he insisted on sitting on my lap, hit me and pulled my hair violently. Guess I won't have any kids anytime soon!

We went out to eat with my sister-in-law and her kids one night too. Aren't they so gorgeous??

This is our last night...at Logan's. Good food, good company.

My mom was so nice and bought a luggage weigher to ease my fears of the bag being more than 50 pounds. It was impossible to pick up! Here is Alli trying with all her might.

It said it weighed 65 pounds. It wasn't true, but I took a few things out anyway. I ended up having to carry on my blow dryer to make the weight at the airport!

Thanks mom for having us. It was so much fun to visit with you! We love you and miss you!!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Scott! I am so grateful for you and the great example you set for Cameron. You work so hard to be able to provide for us.

Cameron is such a good little boy because of you and the things you teach him each day.

Thanks for all you do for us, especially Cam.

I love you more than words can say.

Cameron 22 months

I know, I know, I should have waited to have his pictures done when he turned 2 but I couldn't wait! What's 2 months anyway??

We had the fabulous Karina do our pictures again. She did our family pictures when Cam turned one too.

She did great! I can't decide on a favorite.

I spared you just a little, and didn't post ALL of them...but most of them!

(Mom-here is the precious face you get to see in a couple days!! Get ready!)

Memorial Day

For Memorial Day we decided last minute to go away for a couple days to enjoy the extra long weekend.
A friend of mine told me about Freemont Indian State Park a while ago and all the history about it. We thought this would be a great opportunity to visit, as it is not very far away. We booked our hotel room in Richfield and headed out!

I recommend clicking on the link about the park and reading up on the history. I won't butcher it, I have the worst memory!

The park has a bunch of trails to go on, but since we had Cam, we stuck to the easy ones. We saw some awesome petroglyphs and rock formations. I am in awe when I look at things like this. They are just amazing.

Cam was so excited to go. He was so helpful packing up all his toys. My mom got him this cute bag for Christmas and he would NOT let go of it for one second!

The FIRST thing Cam wanted to do at the hotel? SWIM! He is such a fish. Scott took Cam swimming at the rec center a while ago and ever since, he asks him to go almost everyday. He went swimming 3 times during our 1 night stay on this trip. He was in heaven!

Cameron is so brave and loves to jump off the edge and will do it over and over and over again.

I posted a video of it under this post...I can't figure out how to do videos on the new layout.

After dinner that night we saw a fun park to take Cam to.

We could not figure out why the equipment was so high above the dirt...

Cam needed a boost to get up. We lasted about 5 seconds there.

Can you see the pictures on here? I don't remember what all of them mean, but they are beautiful!

Cam took a short morning nap the day we left but refused to fall asleep on the way home even though it was during his normal afternoon nap time. I called it when the ride started and said he would fall asleep in NSL and...I was right! He was happy and chit chatty the whole time and FINALLY fell asleep 10 minutes before we got home.

He didn't want to wake up when I brought him in. I let him sleep like this for a bit. It was too cute!
