The Christmas Season

Well, Christmas came really quickly this year but I guess that's ok(does it really matter if I say it's not ok?). We had chorus concerts and school plays and children's church musicals and class parties, then came Christmas. The kids both got a Nintendo DS so that's all anyone(grown-ups, babies,whoever) played all day. My nephew was absolutely adorable on his 1st Christmas and he really likes to hang-out with Dillon. Now if my decorations would magically put themselves away!

Trick-or-Treat

This was our crew for Halloween. Everyone came over and ate pizza then out we went for candy!! Let's see it's(Lto R): Dillon, Hope, Savanna(BFF!!!),Abbi(we used to keep), Holden, McKinna, and Baby Aubrey. It was a lot of fun!

Boo at the Zoo

We went to our annual Boo at the Zoo on Saturday with the heart group from the children's hospital. The weather was perfect so all the animals were out and active. Hope(the movie star) won the Hula Hoop contest which Dillon(the karate kid) refused to enter. anyway, we had fun and here are a few pics.

Pumpkin Patch..... past and present

Well we made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch last Saturday. The pictures aren't that great due to the unexpected million mile an hour winds and the fact that we were freezing!! I put up a picture of our trip 8 years ago also......they have grown just a bit!!

Mountain trip

This past weekend we went up to Black Rock mountain and spent the weekend in a cabin with my parents. The weather was great and we had a great time. the highlight of the weekend was leaving we saw two black bears coming out of the woods beside the road. This was only a good experience because we were in a car!! This was our 1st encounter with bears not in the zoo and it did not make us want to move to the mountains!!

Hey. This is just a random blog to give a few updates and post some pictures! the picture of Dillon and I is just because he never wants his picture made and doesn't want much to do with me anymore - boohoo. Hope wants everyone to see her new haircut that won't have as many tangles but isn't too short like boy hair! Let's see, we all managed to pass around a cold Hpe brought home from school, so that made last week fun. They are both doing well in school and it would be even better if Hope didn't have to sit by boys in her classroom. She is quite proud because she did a backhandspring by herself at tumbling class the last 2 weeks. I am getting subbing jobs now that we are two weeks into school so the teachers are actually taking off(or getting the cold!)That's really about all - told you it was random. Oh, UGA won on Saturday and I get to see my cutie nephew next Saturday!!

When I grow up.....

My children have been trying to decide what they want to be when they grow up and have narrowed it down somewhat! Dillon has it narrowed down to 3 choices: a pediatric cardiologist OR a research scientist OR a robotics engineer. Hope also has it narrowed down but there is no OR in her's. Hope is going to be: a mommy AND a teacher AND a vet AND a singer AND an actress AND a missionary. It's going to be a busy life!

Here are pictures of Weston & Nina's baby, Clayton, who was born Thursday. He is so itty bitty, just 5 lbs and something! Also, a picture of my adorable roly poly nephew, Charles Grady. He is 2 1/2 months and a bit more than 5 lbs! They grow fast, my baby boy is 67 pounds now!!

Back to School

We offically are back to school!! Everyone was excited to start school on Friday especially Dillon because he has a brand new teacher who has never taught before( he kindly told me he finally had a teacher who was younger than me.)! Dillon knows pretty much his whole class and Hope's got 2 friends in her class so they are both good to go! Dillon wasn't really into the back to school pictures at 7 am but we did our best!
