Busy summertime!!

The summer is just flying by with birthdays, vbs, youth trips and camps. If anyone is counting we only have 26 days left until it's back to school! Brian and I had our 14th wedding anniversary, Dillon turned 12 and Hope is officially double digits!! It has had it's share of being a "bummer summer" as we have dealt with loss and good friends moving and just some struggling about the coming school year but it has also been a fun summer, free of any illness, and giving us much to be thankful for to God. January and February never go by as quick as June and July and they have less days!! Although the beach has not gotten to see me this summer:( we will be going on with Brian's family to the NC mountains next week so that will be nice. Dillon is currently at Scout camp and I am not enjoying letting him go for 7 days with no contact!!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the lake with extended family. It's a blessing to have such wonderful family and to enjoy each other's company!

spring...then summer!!

I am really far behind in updates and pictures but spring was pretty good to us, school's out and now it's summer!! We took a great mini-vacation to Edisto Island and Charleston during part of spring Break so here are the photos from that trip!

Just plodding on..

Obviously I have not been on here in a long time as we have just tried to absorb and figure out how to keep going after Jordan's death. November 6th still causes nightmares and we have just been pretty short on joy or small talk since them. Thanksgiving with all my family at my grandma's house was nice, Christmas with me sick and us kinda snowed in was not that great. yes, I know it should have been great simply because it was Jesus' birthday but it just wasn't, sorry. Anyway, I know ya'll read this for a few pictures and snippets of life not to be my personal therapist so here are a few pictures of our recent "blizzard"!
