pics of the kiddies...

Sorry, I again don't have any "fun" pictures of Jayden. She still refuses to let me take pictures of her. I just can't believe how big this girl is getting. She just starts to act so grown up sometimes. It freaks me out actually. She talks so darn much. I am surprised by all the things she knows. New words everyday. It is fun to watch.

Lately, she has been Daddy's little side kick. It doesn't matter where he goes..she has to be with him. She freaks out when he leaves the room. I think she misses him a ton during the day, that she just can't get enough of him at night when he is finally home. She isn't gonna know what to do with herself when he graduates here in December. She will be in heaven.

When it snowed the other day, Jayden couldn't get enough of it. She had to keep opening that door and just stare out at the snow. As soon as she got up she had to see it..and right after her nap.. she was right at the door. She kept saying "It's snowing, pretty" then she would say "cold" and shut the door only to start that all over again. If I had to guess, I'd say she did it at least 20 times each session. She must like the cold because as soon as I said no more, we are closing the door. She sat herself in the fridge as soon as it was opened. Is that normal?










Talon is too cute. I am soo happy to have him. I know he was a little unexpected... but I am so blessed to have this little man. He gets cuter every day. His smile is the best. He gets more and more alert every day. After all is said and done. I am actually glad that I have them this close together. I know it is tough at times, but that's parenting right? Besides, If I could just not spread my "fat" phases out .. that would be great. Be swollen for a couple of years and get it over with. Boy, am I a sight for sore eyes when I am prego.

Quick update...

Kids are asleep, so I ran upstairs to try and get some pictures posted. Not a lot is going on. I have braved a couple outings by myself..still feel like it shouldn't be done. I am starting to get a little better with it. But then as soon as I say that, I set myself up for a really good melt down somewhere. I love that Talon is a little snuggle butt... just not when I have to do some shopping.

Right now my ENTIRE house is sick. I don't know if any of you have had the lovely opportunity to be down with the cold that is going around... boy is it a good one. Talon for the past two nights has been so stuffed. He started a cough last night. I feel so bad. He does not like having his little nose suctioned out every night. Poor thing. Jayden has had a cough for what seems to be FOREVER. I can't wait for all of this to pass. Rusty has had it now for a week or two. Of course it has to hit him good during finals. I'll be happy when that is done as well. Rusty and school.. I know nothing else. So, this Christmas will be extra special because Rusty will be home for a while before he starts his Masters in August. CAN'T WAIT!!!

Go Utes!! Me and Jayden were dressed up in the Utah attire. Rusty and Talon had the BYU colors. At least one of us always comes home happy. It was a long sad drive home for Rustin. Sorry Rusty, better luck next year. Ha ha ha.... Good times.

Wow, another free moment..

Hello again! I am sure you weren't expecting another update so soon. Yeah, me either. Well, things are still good. I find myself going a little crazy though. I think I need to find myself a little hobby of some sort. If I plan on staying home with the kids, i think I need to find something to keep me busy. I honestly think Jayden is getting so sick of seeing me all day. I hope that I do get better at braving the outdoors with my kids because I don't have a clue what is going on outside my door. It isn't exactly helping me lose the baby pounds either. Ugh!! I have done some interesting work out videos..I think I get more entertainment out of watching Jayden trying to do them with me. If anyone knows of a really good video or anything to do at home to lose weight..I am all ears! I would love to get down to the weight I was at before I got married.

Anyhoo..I wish I had a ton more to update on, but like I said, I really don't leave my basement much. Ooh.. here is a good question for you Moms out there. How old were your kids before you started puting them in time out?? I know Jayden understands what I am saying to her, but of course when I tell NOT her to do something, I am speaking a foreign language. She is a very mellow kid most of the time, but when she decides she wants something, it is a full on fit until she gets it. fun stuff.

Alright, the kiddies are still asleep. Sorry I haven't posted lately. I can't figure out why my camera isn't downloading my most recent pics.... so I will have to post some better pictures later.

As far as updates go...I still struggle. I have yet to figure out how to do this whole "mom" thing let alone the Mom thing with two kids. I feel like I am much slower at figuring things out than I should be. I am still terrified about going by myself places. Jayden is still unpredictable at throwing her fits. She keeps me running.(which helps with my baby fat!!) I can feel people looking at me and just thinking.."oh that poor girl doesn't have a clue how to handle those kids" pretty sad right? I'm working on it.

Talon has been a good baby (during the day). He still sleeps a ton during the day. He has started to let little smiles come through more often. They are stinkin cute! We just started him on some meds for his heartburn/acid reflux, so I am hoping those start helping him out. Jayden still loves her brother like crazy. She kisses him all day long. So no complaints there.

I'm gonna post some random pictures that I have (hopefully I can figure out how to get the recent ones). Now, does any one else have a difficult child for pictures. If you notice, the ones I try to take with Jayden, SHE WANTS NOTHING TO DO WITH PICTURES!!! Whenever I pull up my camera, she freaks out or turns her head. I am trying to organize family pics but wonder if it will just be a disaster with her.. check out what a stink she is. (I also might have to add... when she turns her head as far back to the side, she thinks you can't see her. Yup, she thinks she can make herself invisible...)




There are a couple to show you how cooperative she is... I just wish she would smile danget!! Every other child I know loves to ham it up for the camera, not mine. then there is just a random picture of Talon with the scarecrow.. not sure why that one loaded up.. but hey there you go. I will try and post some recent ones of Talon soon. :)

I think he is so cute in this picture. I on the other hand would have had him in a different outfit, but Dad liked it. (it's a BYU get up) I think I like this picture because it is brief moment with him awake. He usually only wakes up for Dad.

Things that make you go hmmm......

I am not only concerned with her dancing partner, but also the way she is dancing. She did spend a lot of time with my mother in law and Kara, I might have to ask them what goes on at that house! For some reason she loves getting her picture taken with the pumpkin man. She decided to dance with him in these shots. Interesting.

Early Halloween

So this past weekend we celebrated Halloween with the Tatton's. Royce and Lauren came down for a quick visit from Conneticut. So, we decided to hold Halloween while they were here so they could be apart of the festivities. Jayden loved Lauren when she first left, I was happy to see that she still remembered who she was.

Kathy (my mother in law) does some AMAZING work with the kids costumes. I cannot believe how good she is. She made Jayden's costume along with pretty much every grandkids costume. I loved Jayden's little Dorothy outfit. THANKS KATHY!

Jayden juse woke up from a nap so nevermind her dirty face or her crazy hair. I wish I looked that cute with crazy hair!!

I am not PREGNANT anymore!!!!

I can't even tell you how happy I am to finally have my little boy! It seemed like this day would never come! We had him on Monday September 29th. He was born at 10:51am. He weighed 7lbs 11oz and 19 inches long. We named him Talon Joseph Tatton. Alot of T's going on in his name, but we like it.

I will give you the quick version of how it all went. We checked in at around 8am in our room. Our doctor immediately broke my water. With in a half hour I started have contractions on my own. One thing is for sure, I never had these type of contractions with Jayden. I was in tears with my third contraction. They came on strong and fast. I was a wreck!! I don't care how easy the recovery is when you go natural, it is so not worth going through more of those contractions naturally because recovery would be easier. I didn't care if I had to recover for a whole year afterwards, that darn epidural couldn't come fast enough. So, hats off to those of you who brave natural child birth. YOU'RE CRAZY!! So I got my epidural I think around 9am or a little after. Due to the strong contractions I was already dilated to a 7. By 10:45 they were ready for me to start pushing. Talon was born with only having to push twice, THANK GOODNESS, at 10:51am. 3 hours isn't bad if you ask me. For some reason though, this delivery seemed to wear on me. I feel like I bounced back a ton easier when Jayden was born. Maybe I am just getting too old. I feel like a wimp with this one. Slowly but surely I am getting back into the swing of things.

The sad part is, that Talon had to be placed under the lights while in the hospital. I didn't get to hold him as much as I would have liked. It was kind of hard for me to see him in the nursery freaking out and you couldn't take him out. We were sent home with the lights and had to keep him in a little suitcase of lights. No fun!! We also had to go to the hospital every morning to have his little heel pricked. We ended up going in about 5 times. His heels are all beat up. I got the word from the doctor yesterday that he is finally cleared and no more tests for now. He is such a cute little boy! I LOVE it! He already has started to sleep most of the night.

Jayden is so darn cute with baby brother. She kisses him every chance she gets. She loves to take his socks off and tickle his toes. The best is when she tilts her little head to the side and says "hi buddy". Too cute! She wants to change his bum and feed him. When he cries, she gets up close to him and softly tells him to, "Shhh, Shhh". Things couldn't be better. Granted, my little girl has been with Kathy and Kara, THANKS AGAIN, for the past little bit until we could get Talon's jaundice out of the way, so I haven't really got into the swing of things with two kids at one time. I will be going to Morgan today to pick my little girl up. I can't wait to finally be Jayden's Mom again. I feel like she is gonna forget all about me. They have sent me some pics of Jayden having fun over there. I will have to post some. She loves her little cousin Tatton. They are cute together. I am glad she has a friend up there to keep her occupied. Anyway, this blog is long enough. I will update again soon.

Pregnancy update #6789215

Since I now have some crazy time on my hands, I'll fill you in what the deal is now. When I went to the doctors he was a little surprised at how far along I have already progressed. Basically, he said my body is ready to go right now. Which is not what he wants. He says that baby boy's lungs are not ready. So, he decided to put me on bed rest for the next little bit to try and get this kid to stay put for at the very least another week. As much as bed rest sometimes seems like a blessing, it is actually very hard for me. There are so many things I still feel like I need to do. I am doing my best to stay put.
My Mother and Sister in law are watching Jayden for me right now. THANK YOU so much for helping me Kathy and Kara!!!! Oh my goodness, I miss my little wild girl!! As much as she is currently all over the place and seems to be going through some lovely phases of throwing everything in site and throwing herself to the floor for a full body temper tantrum, I still miss that girl like crazy! I hope she isn't driving them all crazy right now. It is a little weird how quiet it is here at home. I just don't know what to do about it.
So, not a whole lot to update other than I am now a puffy mess. I woke up this morning with lips I think Angelina Jolie would be jealous of. I've always wanted fuller lips, but this is just not funny at all. I look like a fish! I would also like the full lips with out the bags under my eyes and a double chin!! Is that too much to ask for right now?? Oh and not to mention a smaller waist.
I am now trying to do as little as possible to keep my little kid out of the NICU. I honestly don't think I could handle seeing that. So, I think I will try and spend my day pondering a name for this kid. Yup, still haven't made a decision for a name yet. Surprised? Didn't think so. Thank you to everyone for your sweet comments. It makes me happy that their are people out there that do worry and care about your situation and can also relate with it. Thank you, thank you!

Careful what you wish for....

So, those of you who are interested in this pregnancy, I have a little update for you.
Well two days ago (Saturday) I went into labor. I actually thought I was just going to get an IV because of how sick I was Saturday. I couldn't keep a thing down. I figured I was coming down with the flu and that would explain some of the body aches I was having. Finally, I called the doctor and he said to come in and at least get some fluids. When we got there, the contractions were pretty good. Boy are those things lovely!! They kept me there to see if the fluids would calm my contractions down. They stayed pretty strong and steady. They then had this wonderful idea of putting a shot of something, I think it was morphine with some other drugs, into my hip!!! I don't know how many of you girls out there have had this shot, but if you ever have to, grab your stuff and just run. HOLY COW that was the worst shot I have ever had in my life! Rusty laughs at how far off the bed I jumped. That nurse is just lucky I didn't go psycho on her. I'm capable of irrational things like that. After that shot settled in, I was as loopy as ever. I don't know how you could push a kid out with those drugs in your system. I couldn't keep my eyes open if you paid me. I was getting to the point where English didn't sound English anymore.
Here comes the part I really don't understand. When they checked me I was at a 3. Totally surprised I would already be at a three. Well, an hour and a half later they checked me and found that I was still at a 3. Even though my contractions were still every 2-3 minutes, they sent me home and said that if I came back that night they would keep me. I should have come back.. but would rather get some sleep with those fancy drugs in my system. Needless to say, these past two days have been filled with, "should I go, no, I'll stay" "maybe now I should go" "no, they'll just send me home". One thing I do know, is that this kid is coming this week. I honestly can't see myself going past this week. But you never know. I have a Dr. appointment tomorrow. We'll see what he says. I'm sure he will want to start me. He didn't really like how the heart was sounding at the last appt. (another fun thing right?) (deep breath) I'll try to update ya when I get word. Thanks everyone for letting me vent a little. :)

Are we there yet??!!

It is official. I am full of water. I am one big walking water bed!! My ankles have finally given up and filled up with water. It is attractive, I tell you what. I am happy however that it held off for as long as it did. With Jayden I was a swollen mess around 6 months. I honestly think my ankles were bigger than my thighs! It is always a good shock value to those who haven't seen ankles like that before. No more capri's for me. When will mu-mu's come back in style? I would love to hang out in those from this point on!!

All I have to say is, this kid has got to be 15 pounds by now. I don't remember being this uncomfortable with Jayden. Jayden was 8lbs 3oz. I obviously don't have tiny babies...I am a little nervous how big this kid is going to be. Shoot me! This (no named)child has the hiccups non-stop and loves to work on cartwheels while I am trying to sleep. I give up. This pregnancy has warn me out! I honestly have tried to not do the "waddle" we all love to see. I have had no choice but to give in. I am a cute mess right now. Also, has anyone else noticed that the funky comments that you get like "Wow, are you always this puffy when your pregnant?" come from the women?? Does that make sense to anyone? I expect some of these comments from men. Nope, just the women. Okay, I am done venting about pregnancy woes. I only have a little more to go. I will save all of you from a prego pic of me. Just imagine me huge and awkward. lovely.

Tatton Camp Out!!!

We just got back last week from the Tatton family camp out. I love camping, just not pregnant camping. It was a lot harder than I thought it would have been. Still fun none the less. Jayden loves being outdoors. She was impossible to keep clean or still for that matter. She was a mile a minute. She is on this kick right now where she loves to growl at her Uncle's and Papa Roy. Aaron tends to play right into it. She loves it. She thinks she can really scare you with one of her big growls. The second you return a growl.. she runs away. We now need to teach her to follow through with her threats. Watch out Uncle Aaron!

We stayed in trailers, which was soooo nice! They all had electricity, running water and working bathrooms (small bathrooms). This was a campsite owned by Hill Air Force Base (Carter Creek). If you ask me, they are a little spoiled when it comes to camping. They had a playground for kids to play on, wonderful bathrooms with good size showers and trailers that looked brand new. I'm just glad we got to stay there. The only thing I would have changed was the hill that seperated us from the other campsites and the dirt roads. I thought I was going to have my kid in the mountains!!

Going camping with my mother in law is always the best too. She brings more food than you could ever finish. You could munch all day long (and I did) and still not see the end of it. I'm glad she always comes prepared. I am still working on that one. Sorry for how many pictures there are.. but I had to put them all on. :) I'm hoping next time we have a big family camp out, I am not a HUGE pregnant woman!!

I love my Hubby!

So, this weekend Grandma and Grandpa Tatton agreed to take Jayden Friday night. Thank you so much!!! Rusty planned a little weekend for us. With him FINALLY getting done with summer semester, and me going absolutely stir crazy at home, he put together a night away from home. It was just what I needed. I am taking the risk of sounding like a ridiculous, out of control needy wife, but I miss him like crazy when he is gone to school. He works full time, and then a ton of school/homework on top of that. It doesn't leave a whole lot of free time for helping out at home. Not only does Jayden demand attention from him, I do as well. He is a wanted man.

With me being pregnant it just makes this whole ordeal worse. I could have a break down at any given moment. (Rusty is full aware of this). I always want him around and doing things with us. It has been hard to be supportive of his demanding schedule of work and school and late night studies. He tries so hard to make everyone happy. I don't know how he does it sometimes. I am so happy that he is getting done with school. Still not soon enough!!

So, we originally had a standard room. We walked in and it looked as if someone had just checked out 5 minutes prior to us getting there. The room was a mess. So, they upgraded us to the top floor corner suite. It was very nice. Seeing a deep jetted tub is music to a pregnant womans' ears!! The room was a lot more than what we were expecting. Can't comoplain.

Rusty then took me to the Timbermine Steak and Seafood restaurant. It was really good. I have never had deep fried mushrooms before, but good grief, they were AMAZING! You will really need to try them if you get a chance. I'm sure they weren't the healthiest thing, but good none the less.

I loved the decor they had. This was a tub full of Pez dispensers and random Barbie dolls. It was a littel weird, but kind of fun. Thanks Rusty for the little get-away! I loved it!

Saturday we met up with some of the Tatton clan and played at the North Shore pool. Tony and Randy were up, so we had to go!

Jayden is in LOVE with water. Not only to swim/bathe in it, but she chugs water like there's no tomorrow. I have never seen a kid so in love with water. I'm okay with it. I would much rather her be attached to water than some of the other things I let her drink. I admit, I've given her a couple good swigs of coke every now and then. I know, I know.

Nothing like a little "angel spit" in your water.

She could have eaten Oreo's all day long I'm sure. After she had finished those off, the water quickly became just Jayden's.

I feel bad that I haven't taken Jayden to the pool as much as I would like. She loves it. I think a lot had to do with, 1) It tends be a long drive to Ogden. 2) I don't think there are many pregnant women, especially at 8 months along, that enjoy getting into a swimsuit. Also, there are some that SHOULDN'T enjoy getting in a swimsuit as much as they do that far along. I had a hard enough time getting into a swimsuit not being prego! Hopefully, we will be able to go again before the summer is over. I have always had a blast going.

Jensen and Lilly enjoyed the frog slide. Fun was had by all.
