{Thank You} Sketch Support Card

Here is a thank you card I made using the February Card Sketch {by Allison Davis, for the Sketch Support Blog}.

I used the Crate Paper Restoration line for most of the card.

{Decorating Her Tree} Layout

Another layout from scrap-a-palooza. This was the first year that Brook was big enough to have her own tree in her room, that she decorated herself. The sweet part of watching her decorate the Christmas tree this year, is that she always puts the ornaments on a light, not a branch. Sweet baby.

{Silly Girls} Sketch Support Layout

This is another layout for the January One Page Sketch by Allison Davis {from the Sketch Support blog}. I turned the sketch so the title and most of the elements are on the top. 

Most of the elements are the Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket {have I mentioned I love that collection?}.

{RV Time} Layout

Another layout from the all day scrapping event this past Saturday. This one was about a day when the girls and I spent time in my parents RV on a little day adventure. They loved every second!

{The Farm} Sketch Support Layout

I love this new line from Cosmo Cricket {most of what I used on this layout}. It is fantastic!

{At the Farm} Layout

This past Saturday, I was able to attend Scrap-a-palooza, an all day scrapbook event {thanks to my amazing hubby who lovingly took over parenting duties}. It was so much fun. I was able to finish four layouts {kind of pitiful, except you have to excuse LOTS of time for talking!} Here is one of the layouts that I completed:

Another first

Friday, after school, we took both girls for a much needed haircut. It is Brook's first haircut ever. She did really well, sitting so still for the stylist and watching Strawberry Shortcake. 

The haircut changed her look so much...definitely not a baby anymore {which makes this mama's heart slightly heavy...no babies...sniff.} The girls look adorable as ever. The little one was most excited for her sucker, while the older one was most excited for her balloon! Love these girls!

It's Official...

Today we woke up to a winter wonderland, which means it is the first OFFICIAL snow day of the school year! Yeah! We have a happy kindergartner around the house today! Of course, we have already been in the snow today {even if it is around 16 degrees, not including wind chill}.

A lot of snow angels were made.

The swing set is extra fun covered in snow.

Lots of sledding and just walking around in the snow.

Nothing finishes up a good snow day more than hot chocolate with whipped cream and a million marshmallows!

I love snow days.

Hilarious

This little thing never ceases to entertain us. She is hilarious and quite quirky {in all good ways}. She has been running around lately saying "Ni Hao Max." She loves Max and Ruby {a show both she and her sister enjoy together, but she identifies with Max the younger brother, her sister identifies with Ruby the older sister.} So combining some Chinese - saying "hello" to Max off Max and Ruby in just everyday conversation {she also prays for him}.

Extra time

This past weekend, we were blessed with a four-day weekend with our kindergartner. There is nothing quite like the joy of having her around all day again, especially for her little sister! Yesterday, I took them to the local science center and surprisingly enough - it was almost empty! We had the place to ourselves!

Lots of "cheese" and silly faces {pretending to call her daddy and this is the face she made when I snapped the picture.}

Taking turns being cashier and shopping to their hearts content.

Spending a lot of time taking care of this baby doll. Making sure she eats and goes "night night" when necessary.

Co-anchoring the news and weather. 

Of course, the cut-outs are a top favorite for our oldest. While the musical instruments proved to be a favorite for the younger. 

The time was precious and made getting her off to school today a little bit harder. The consolation is that she loves school and is always excited to go, especially on art day!

Snow

Monday it snowed all day and all night. But, unfortunately, our school district was the only one in entire area that actually went to school on Tuesday. My kindergartner's response, "I am crying a little bit because I am going to be the only one in school today. I want to stay home and play in the snow!" Poor thing. {We did explain, that it was her entire school system that would be going, not just her...alone.} So, no playing in the snow around here...at least until after school.

And yes, we did brave the frigid, cold, horrible temperatures in order to get some snow time in after school.

{Christmas Eve} Sketch Support Layout

Here is a layout that I made using the January Two Page Sketch by Allison Davis {featured on the Sketch Support blog}. I took the right side of the sketch and turned it into a one page layout.
