Renting anyone???

We are still trying to rent our home. Feel free to spread the word if you know of anyone looking for a place. We are looking for someone long-term, starting with at least a year contract. No pets. No smoking. This link goes to our ad- http://www.ksl.com/index.php?sid=17403849&nid=651&ad=11704

Any family members looking, please let me know. We'd love to have someone we know and trust live there. Plus, I'm sure we could work out a deal for you. :)

Park

This is our awesome park. The kids love it and I love it. :) And I figured out it is only a light 3 min jog down, versus 4 min.

So the first OB I went to up here was not the one I requested (based off a referral), but they were able to switch me to her as my primary physician. So I met her for the first time this week and I like her. We talked a lot about VBACs and our options. A year ago they didn't allow them at this hospital at all, but she was the one to make it happen here, so I feel pretty confident working with her. I still have to go into labor on my own and follow basic rules, but I would have had to do that in Utah too. She doesn't care one way or another if I choose to have an epidural or not, so it's completely up to me. I do have to have continuous monitoring, but it is wireless so I wont be confined to the bed, in fact she said they have jetted tubs here that I can spend as much time in as I want. Plus I don't need to even have an epidural placed and not dosed. She said if there was a true emergency (like uterine rupture), I would be under general anesthesia for the c-section anyway. And if it wasn't a true emergency (like I wasn't progressing, for too long), they would have time to place a spinal block. So I like her and the info she gave me and especially the time she took to talk things through.

However, both she and Luke vetoed my playing any more racquetball, which really does make me sad. So I'll have to stick to boring exercises like walking and stationary biking...or maybe I'll just sit on the couch and eat ice cream. ;)

Cookies

Bailee was in the other room and she yelled over to me, "Look at this guy with cookies on his bum!" I am thinking, what in the world is she talking about?! What is she looking at? Luckily it was all innocent-

She was sitting in the recliner reading books. :)

I have to tell you that I now leave a granola bar and her sippy cup sitting out where she can see it, in case she wakes up before me in the morning and is hungry. No more butter.

Tonight we have a babysitter coming over, who happens to have the same name as Bailee. We told Bailee that Bailey is coming over to play with her tonight. Bailee really wasn't sure about this idea of someone having the same name as her and declared, "Well, we should call her Sally!"

Sunday

Our ward split a couple of weeks ago. Which changed it from seeming like Stake Conference in Utah where the chapel is full, the gym overflow is full, the foyers are full and people are standing in the hallways every week, to having the chapel full and about 1/3 of the gym overflow mostly full.

I am glad this happened because I feel like I might be able to meet some people and actually see them two weeks in a row.

The first week after the split we introduced ourselves at the end of Relief Society. There are a LOT of pregnant women there. The lady that was next to me is due May 23, same day as Aubrey. And, Aunt Linda, I met Nikki and her mother (your friend was up visiting for a week). When she said she was from Vernal, Utah I had to go talk to her and make that connection with home.

After church yesterday we gave the kids some snacks and shortly after hitting the road I look back to see this.

Church is at 1, right when Riley should be napping, (seems like everything we do on the weekend is when he should be napping) so he was really tired by the time we were done. In the shadow on the right side of his face you can see the long scratch he got in nursery. Luke brought him to me after church and said the leaders said he was playing by himself then came over crying, pointing at his face. Hmmm. I'm thinking I need to see what is in that room that could have cut him like that...

Anyway, Riley slept for about 30 min till we stopped to drop Spencer and Tyler off at their car. Spencer is Russ's brother and Tyler is Spencer's friend who just made it up the day before to start working up here. Riley wasn't very happy after that, with such s short nap. About 15 min later we make it home, here is a little vid of my ornery, but cute, boy.

Some neighbors showed up a little later to introduce themselves, they are in our ward, and invited us over for dinner. We went and got to know them, as well as meet another member family that was going for a walk. The kids had a blast running around outside with all their kids too.

Although Bailee did have a couple of meltdowns when she got hurt. At one point Luke was chasing her and she was looking back at him while she was running forward. She was headed straight for a big tree. Luke caught up in enough time to mostly push her aside, but she still hit the trunk of the tree with her arm and shoulder and got knocked down. Plenty of screaming followed that incident and we declared it time to go home since it was late anyway.

Some stuff

This has been our weekly Saturday morning activity. Racquetball! I'm loving it! However, yesterday I crouched down to dodge a ball coming right for me and I couldn't stand back up quick enough to respond and hit it. :) I do pretty well if I stay standing and don't have to run anywhere quickly.

This is now the view looking down from Mary's and Russ's house. They have several more mobile homes and trailers down there. Also, the shop is getting close to done, and then Luke will be working from his office there.

Happy kids! The weather has been beautiful and we decided to walk down to the park. We are up on a hill and it was about a 4 min light jog down the hill to get to it. And then a 7 min pregnant walk back up. :)

Some things Riley says-
While eating eggs and hashbrowns, "Mmmm, chicken."
Anytime he gets hurt, "Hurt me!" He holds up his hand (or foot or whatever) and he wants a kiss, which immediately fixes it. Or else it's "Hurt me! Tiss it." (kiss it). Once I kiss it he says, "Thank you," and goes about his business. Sometimes if I am busy making dinner or occupied with something else I can lean over and kiss at the air toward him and he'll say "Thank you," and head off to play again.

A week ago Saturday

We went swimming again last Saturday (not yesterday). We are always driving when it is Riley's nap time and he always sleeps in the car, until this time. Instead he just talked and sang songs and stayed awake. Which is cute and fine, but I knew he'd be tired.

Swimming was a lot of fun. Both kids love it. I love that they have family locker rooms. I head in early with Riley to shower off and get dressed. As I get dressed, Riley sits in the stream of the warm shower and plays in the water more until I am ready to get him dressed. Then Luke and Bailee join us to get ready.

We went to Pita Pit to eat afterwards. I was holding Riley and they handed me my food. As I was looking for a table to sit at, Riley was bending over to take a large chomp out of the pita. He wasn't willing to wait for a chair. He really went to town eating though. We were down to the last bite, which I was offering him, and he wasn't going for it. So I look down and he is just staring off into the distance. I offer it again and brush it across his lips and he doesn't respond at all, in any way. This is when I realize he is exhausted and about to fall asleep right in my arms. (Which he hasn't done since he was a baby.) So I tell Luke and he catches some photos as he drifts off. It was so funny and so sweet to be able to hold him.

Yes, we use about 3,000 napkins when we eat.

Who me?

Buck may or may not (or may) have torn through a fiberglass garage in desperation to get out to find Luke when we left the other day to go to my OB appointment.

He may look small and innocent here, but really he is 100 lbs worth of mental mess right now.

He's always been needy, but now if he knows Luke goes somewhere without him he freaks out and as you can see, destroys things. Not good.

We were gone all day Saturday and wondered what we'd find when we got home. Luke did block off the hole in the garage door, but Buck pushed through it and got out. He doesn't ever go anywhere far when he gets out, so we came home to a very cold and happy to see us dog. Pretty sure he spent the day sitting on the icy steps outside the garage. He wolfed down his food, drank a bunch of water and crashed for several hours. We brought home a large crate/cage thingy and a new pad (since he ruined the other one). Now he gets to be locked up when we're gone. It worked while we were at church yesterday. Let's see how long it takes for him to bust through this... Really though, he'd better not be able to.

Anyone want a large and overly dependent dog that would sit on your lap all day if you let him? He's really nice...
