365 Days...........

To go until Christmas again :) This is a conversation I had with Haden this morning on how long until Christmas. He was not happy to hear such a big number. We had such a great Christmas and enjoyed spending time with family! We got a big surprise from my parents with snow in their front yard for the kids, but I think the adults had just as much fun. You will see in the pictures, but snow in Vegas was enjoyed with no coats, just gloves and a hat, otherwise we were in jeans and regular shoes :) We also used boogie boards for sleds, they worked great! It was so much fun. So Thank You Grammy and Papa Dan for the good time! Something the kids haven't stopped talking about! We ate breakfast and because I forgot to grab the gifts for the cousin exchange we planned on meeting back there that evening. We then headed off to be with Jeff's family. We ate good food, had fun and the boys loved being with their other cousins. They were also spoiled by everyone, thank you all for the gifts, you are all too kind! They are enjoying the new things they get to play with! We then headed out the get the gifts from our house and head back over to my parents where the cousins exchanged gifts. It was fun and once again the kids got great presents! THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR GENEROSITY AND KINDNESS TOWARDS ALL OF US! You Can't Catch Me, I'm the Ginger Bread Man!

We are getting so excited for Santa to come, and hoping that we have all been nice enough for him to make a stop here. We got to go over to Nate and Jenn's today and decorate ginger bread houses, and it was so fun! Thank you two so much for inviting us and doing this! The kids had a blast and are enjoying their houses. They are being well loved and eaten :) But it just has been a good week and getting ready for Christmas, and spending time with family. Boys = Noise...but I love it!!

Well the boys have had a blast figuring out how to set up there very own set of drums. So we did a couple of videos and I thought I would share them. You need to pause the music down on the right side, before you start the videos.

As you will see in the pictures Delaney has a tooth and her second bottom one is right there ready to cut through. It is so crazy, but normal for our kids. Cole did so good in nursery today, he has been struggling and they would always bring him to us screaming. Well today he only cried like twice, but they never brought him to us. Only when he needed a diaper change, but they actually had me just come do it in the room so that he didn't have to leave, which worked out really good! It is so nice to have him liking it and to only have to take care of Delaney during class. Jeff and I teach the 11 & 12 year olds and they are so much fun! I was worried about teaching them at first, I have only taught 4 & 5 year olds and they were easy. But last week I taught the lesson and I got to see how absolutely amazing these kids are. We had actual discussions about the lesson, they have so much knowledge and it was so fun to see them want to learn and enjoy learning. I am grateful for the chance we have to teach them, but also the chance I have to learn from them! We are looking forward to Christmas, it is a much anticipated holiday here in our house and a daily discussion with the boys. It is so fun to see their excitement and to make it that much more exciting for us! We love you all and hope that you are doing good! Thanks for checking in :)

Having Fun

She is no longer skin and bones :)

Well the past week has been lots of fun! Delaney turned 4 months old on the 6th. It is crazy to think 4 months have passed so quickly! She smiles a ton and talks all the time. She squeals when she is excited and even when she is mad, she is all girl and so different from our boys. We took her to the doctor for her well check and she was a trooper, she got 4 shots and didn't cry until the very end. She weighs a whoppin' 16 lbs. and is in the 90% for her weight. She is 25 inches tall and is in the 75% for her height. We get to start cereal with her, and I can't wait to see how she reacts to that. Cole also got his 18 month check up and he weighs 25 1/2 lbs. and is 32 inches tall, both are average for him. He is starting with 2 ear infections and so we are getting him on some meds, hopefully it will stop them before they get much worse. Poor guy, taking after his mommy in ear infections. He also doesn't talk a lot, like he says mama, papa, all done, ta da, and Hi, that is pretty much it. And he isn't so interested in repeating us when we ask him too (although that could just be pure stubbornness, lol) and so our pediatrician wants us to see a speech therapist just to be sure there aren't any problems. She said he could just be a really late talker, so hopefully that is all, but if not I am glad that we are looking into it and if he needs it we can get him the help he needs. We also had last Saturday a dinner with the grandparents, as well as Mak and Amanda, for Haden's birthday. We missed Bob, but understand that he had things that needed to be done. We also missed Jim and Karen but understand traveling doesn't always work out. Our kids enjoy times like these with the ones they love, so they had a blast. It was lots of fun! Thanks for those that made it, we appreciate you! We also went to Ethel M's cactus garden last night to see all the lights they had put up, Thanks to Nate for calling and telling us we needed to go out there. The kids loved it, it was so neat to see. Even Delaney who was yelling in the car was excited once we got out to see the lights. It was lost of fun!!!

Here is a video of Delaney raising her arms and talking. She kept watching the ceiling and talking like crazy, and then she would raise her arms as if she was reaching for someone. Then she became focused on her hands, which of course is pretty much all I got on the video.

It's Christmas Time :)

It is Christmas Time and I am so excited! I love this holiday and the feeling and spirit that it brings into our home. We couldn't find our ornaments, they have to be here somewhere, but who knows. So we decided to make ornaments this year. We did them out of a salt dough you can microwave and it hardens. The boys got to help roll out the dough, and then use the cookie cutters to cut out shapes, we have dinosaurs, Christmas trees, snowmen, rockets, flowers and reindeer :) . We then microwaved them and then the boys got to color them. We didn't need to many because Cole thinks they are toys, so we hung them up high enough he can't reach them. Cute Kids

6 years have come and gone...........

And here we are! Today is mine and Jeff's 6 year wedding anniversary, and it seems unreal. We have had our ups and downs and yet here we are happier than ever, 6 years and 4 kids later. I am grateful for what we have been through, it has only made us stronger as a couple and a family. I am grateful for Jeff, for the amazing Husband and Dad that he is. Thank you Jeff for your patience with me, for you understanding me when no one else does. Thank you for being you, the person I love and married 6 years ago. I look forward to eternity with you, and wouldn't want to spend it with anyone else. I love you the mostiostest ever times infinity and eternity :)

Happy 5th Birthday Haden!

~HAPPY BIRTHDAY HADEN~

5 years ago we were waiting for labor to progress, and hours later shocked with the drop in Haden's heart rate. As they attempted to bring his heart rate back up I was rushed off to an operating room while everyone, including Jeff, stayed back in the labor room. As I lay on the operating table, they search for a heart beat, but couldn't find one. Before I know it the anesthesiologist is telling me that he is going to put me to sleep so they can perform a c-section, that Jeff can't be in there with me, and when I wake up I will have a baby. Everything happened so fast and when I woke up I was surrounded by family and was handed the most precious baby. It was an overwhelming feeling, one I don't think I will ever forget. So perfect and so innocent. I am grateful for Haden, for his amazing spirit, and for his thoughtfulness. He is such a sweet brother and son, and always wants us to know how much he loves us. He is so in tune with your feelings and moods and I know he has great things to do in this life. I am grateful to be his Mom, to help him along the way, and be there for him. I love you so much Haden! I hope that your Birthday is all that you hoped it would be!!

Our Trip to Utah!!

We had so much fun! Thank You SOOO much Grandpa and Grandma for letting us stay at your house. The boys loved it so much! And I love that we all get that time with you! We drove up to Utah on Thursday and had our Thanksgiving dinner on Friday! It was such yummy food, Thanks to Dale and Unhui for the dinner and organizing it. Also thanks to everyone else who brought food, we were stuffed and well fed! Then we had a little Christmas party and the kids got to sit on Santa's lap and they loved it. This was the same Santa I have had growing up and being able to tell him what I want for Christmas, so I thought it was so fun that my kids got to sit on his lap as well. I just found out that it has been the same guy my whole life, I thought that was so cool :) Then on Saturday we got to visit with my Granny and she got to see Delaney for the first time. It was lots of fun! Thanks for letting us come by Granny, we love you! Then later that night Jeff and I took the boys to Salt Lake to see Temple Square and the Temple and all the Christmas lights. It was very cold, but lots of fun! We also got to meet up with one of Jeff's mission friends, Erick and his wife Janette. They are such a fun couple and we had a blast! It was good to see you two and hopefully it won't be so long before we get to see each other again!! We had such a great weekend! Even though Haden ended up sick today as we got to drive home dealing with it all, he is doing better and I hope it was a short lived thing. Thanks to everyone for helping making this weekend fun!! Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Well since we will be driving up to Utah on Thanksgiving, I wanted to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you all have a great time eating lots of great food :) I am so excited we are going up to Utah to be with family up there for Thanksgiving. We will be eating our big yummy dinner on Friday, so we are driving up to Utah on Thursday. I get to pack and get us all ready tomorrow so we can get up and leave bright and early! For Pre-school Haden and Grant were asked what they were Thankful for, this is what they said word for word! Haden said I am grateful for my brothers, and glad I can come to your (Grammy and Papa's) house to swim. I am grateful for Grant, Coleman and my whole family. I am grateful for drawing with a magnadoodle, I'm grateful for I love you!, I'm grateful for I can snuggle with my baby sister. I am grateful for the Dinosaur park, I'm grateful for myself and parks I've never been to. I am grateful to go to the petstore with Papa, I am grateful for my Brothers and Sister (like 3 times) and that's all! Grant said I am grateful for fish, I want to eat a fish 'cause those are yummy for me, when I eat all of the food I will get fat - Dad says, sharks, toys, my brothers and sisters, feet, Grammy, Haden, Me! Ya, I'm grateful Mom and Dad, blocks, Roxy (Mak's dog) but she's outside, but I'm grateful for her, but some Roxy's are a girl and some Roxy's are a boy. These kids crack me up! I love their honesty!! We have so much to be grateful for, I think our biggest one is Family! Not only just our family, with such wonderful little kids who bring Jeff and I so much happiness and joy! But our extended family! You all have been there for us through so much and helped us in so many different ways. There is nothing we could ever say or do to truly Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do to help us out! So Thank You from the bottom of our hearts! We are grateful for health! We have been through some rough times (especially me) in the past year, that we are doing so good right now and I am grateful for it! I am grateful for all my blessings, there are so many and I along with my family are so blessed! I am grateful for Haden and for his loving personality! I am grateful for Grant and for his imagination! I am grateful for Cole and for his energy! I am grateful for Delaney and her sweet and amazing spirit! I am grateful for Jeff for his patience, for the wonderful husband and Dad that he is! I am grateful for friends! I have so many that I consider friends, even if I haven't met you in person, but just through the computer. I am grateful for Ramona! She is such an awesome friend and I feel like Heavenly Father had a hand in our meeting and getting to know each other. Life right now is so good, we have so much to be grateful for! 18 Months! Where has it gone??

Cole is officially 18 months old today! I can't believe he is that old. I mean it seriously seems like just a couple months ago we were figuring each other out and here it is a year and half later. He is such a fun little guy who loves his brothers and his sister very much. He likes to make us laugh and will do anything to crack a smile out of you! He loves to read, sing songs and dance! He is so full of life and energy. Haden likes that Cole plays toys with him, does books and goes inside the expanding ball with him. Grant likes that Cole plays with him, eats snacks and play games with him. We love him so much! Nursery here we come :)

Oh to be little again!

I love watching the thinking process that goes through my kids' heads. It is so fun and with Haden and Grant it is even more fun because you get to hear what they are thinking. Haden has imaginary friends and lately has been talking about them a whole lot more than usual. Grant has watched him talk and even play with these imaginary friends and has gone into his world and taken on Haden's friends as his own. Well yesterday Grant named one of his very own imaginary friends, her name is tee tee, and talked about her like Haden does his own. It was too funny! I had an imaginary friend and although I don't remember it, my Mom does. And she was a huge part of my life, so how funny and ironic that my kids would have them too. Haden has a couple, waagog, Jenny and Guy, and he talks about them just as you would your own friends. I personally think it is great! Here are this weeks funny sayings:
Haden ~ “The ‘raccoon’ is hatching, it’s a beautiful butterfly”. He meant to say cocoon, instead of raccoon.

Grant ~ He coughed and then told Jeff that he smelled a cat and that is why coughed.

Haden ~ “I could feel Delaney’s heart beeping (beating)”

Haden ~ "Mom why can't I marry you or Delaney?" So once again we talked about why, and he said "well no one wants to marry me right now!" So I told him I would like for him to not marry until he is 30 or so, well he told me No! So I asked him when he wanted to get married, and he says 15!!! Um...I will settle for after his mission :) But not 15.

Grant~ "Mom when I be a little baby, you tickled my belly and I laugheded!"

Haden ~ "Mom I want to go to China on my mission." So I said you do, why China? Haden said "because that is where they make McDonald's toys and I want to go help make them." I had to keep from laughing, because he was so serious! He also wants to go to N Mexico (New Mexico) so that he can meet Indians. He loves that his dad met the Navajo Indians and thinks it would be a great place to go! I have to agree! We want to go back and visit the areas he served in, he met some pretty amazing people there!!

Oh to be little!

What's New?!

Well not a whole lot is going on! Delaney turned 3 months on Tuesday, I mean seriously where has the time gone? I love that she is getting older and getting more personality, but I miss holding a sweet newborn! Here is a picture from when she was coming home from the hospital, and then a new one now that she is 3 months old! It is quite the comparison, and really she doesn't look like the same baby :) Let me know what you think!

Kids say the darndest things.....

I absolutely love the things that come out of Haden and Grant's mouths. They crack me up and I wish I wrote them down, I think I could write a book. I wanted to share some of the things they have said the past couple of days :)
~Grant said (completely out of the blue) to me 'Howdy pardner' and so I said it back to him and then he asked how I was, I said 'good, how are you?' and Grant said 'very well Thank You!' I laughed so hard!
~Haden was in pre-school and they were talking about nice words, and so the kids started listing off the nice words they know. I over heard Haden say 'you're gorgeous'! We have him trained :) I actually hear that a lot from him and it is so sweet!
~My Dad took Haden and Grant to the pet store with him to get crickets for the lizard. The boys LOVE the pet store! When Haden got back he told us that he wanted a tarantulatta (tarantula), I can't even correct him when he mispronounces things, it is way too cute!
~Haden said when he gets bigger he wants to marry Delaney. So I had to explain that she is his sister so he can't marry her. So he thought for a minute and then he says that he is going to marry me. So we tried telling him he will find someone and marry them. He didn't like that answer and insists that he is marrying me! So I figured until he is old enough to even think about girl (which is like 30, right?!!) he can think he will marry me!
~The boys are big into pets right now (so I am thinking we need to get something). But they want a total of 5 pets, and they are 1.Dog 2.Bone 3.fish 4.turtle 5.fox. I asked why the bone, and they looked at me like it was a dumb question and said 'for our dog!' DUH! What was I thinking?! Also the fox is because they have been watching The Fox and The Hound, and if you have a dog you need a fox because they are friends.
Anyway I thought they were cute and wanted to write them down so I could remember them :) Also here are some pictures!

Cole sat up next to Delaney and smiled, so I had to take a picture!! He loves to sit 'right' next to her and it is so cute!!

Trick or Treat

Well the boys got to experience for the first time actual trick or treating. They have only ever gone to the ward trunk or treats, so this was new and exciting! We didn't go to a ton of houses, but it was slow for the trick or treaters in the neighborhood, so people were giving handfuls of candy. They filled their buckets pretty quickly! Grant kept asking if we could go home and within a few seconds he would be saying 'we should do this'. I think for him, he was torn between the candy and getting more and just really didn't know what to do. We would laugh and continued on until they filled their buckets, which really happened in less than an hour. Cole was a trooper, walked for part of it, but loved the getting the candy part. Haden thought it was great! Although for him, he is still wanting to know what is next for Halloween. He isn't satisfied that we had Trunk or Treat on Saturday, carved pumpkins on Sunday, my family party on Monday, and then their pre-school parties today and trick or treating :) What can you do?!! Delaney stayed happy for the most part as we walked from house to house, and enjoyed being outside! Here are the pictures I got of them tonight:

~HAPPY HALLOWEEN~

Update on us, Jeff and I were called to be the 11 year old teachers in Primary. And it is quite interesting right now when we still have Cole and Delaney. But next month Cole gets to go to nursery, so that will be better :) But we are excited and it will be fun to work with Jeff in Primary! Delaney actually laughed out loud yesterday at Jeff and I. It was the cutest sound, I actually got all teary eyed, so sweet and wonderful. She is getting big and really isn't a little baby anymore. I can't believe she is almost 3 months old, where does time go?!!! The boys are doing great! Cole is over whatever he had, and is back to being himself. We had our ward Trunk or Treat on Saturday and it was lots of fun! They did dinner and then the trunk or treat. Someone in the ward mad a train type ride for the kids to ride on, it was so much fun! It looks like they used plastic barrel type things and cute one side off and then put a seat in it and put on some wheels. They then hooked a bunch of them together and pulled them with a four wheeler. I took some pictures, so you can see it. We stuck all 3 boys in it, we were worried that Cole might not like it, so I had Jeff go stand in the middle of the parking lot to watch them. But Cole liked it as much as Haden and Grant, and they got to go on it twice. The kids looked so cute all dressed up! Haden is Superman, Grant is Batman, Cole is Robin and Delaney is Super girl! Tonight was my family party that my parents put on each year. It is lots of fun and the cousins all get together and have a blast! Thanks for so much fun Mom and Dad! And all the time you put into it to make it fun for our kids!! So I have attached pictures from both things with the kids all dressed up! Halloween, etc.

Man I Love These Kids!

Can I just say that I have been extremely blessed with the 4 wonderful kids that I have! They are amazing and like I said in my previous post, I often wonderful what they have in store for them. Poor little Cole is having trouble breathing and we are hoping and praying that he can make it through this without a hospital stay. He was almost to the point of being admitted into the hospital, but was sent home on breathing treatments. I take him back in on Monday and I hope and pray that he is much better by then. The child who never slows down, completely mellows out after having a breathing treatment. It is so sad to watch! And breaks my heart. Delaney is adorable! She is at the stage of talking a lot and smiles all the time! We are waiting for her to laugh. All I can say is that girls are a ton different than boys, I think anyway! The way they move, sound, everything!! Grant and Haden are the greatest big brothers. They love and adore Cole and Delaney, it is so fun to watch. Jeff was telling me that tonight in the van Jeff told them that he loved them and they teased that he didn't and then Haden says 'yes he does and I love you Grant'. Grant told Haden that he loved him too, and then Haden said something about him being mad at him sometimes. Grant said to Haden that he was sorry that he got mad at him sometimes, and Haden said 'you don't have to say sorry, you love me, it is okay'. It was the cutest thing and I only wish that I could have been in the car to hear it! Anyway, I personally think I have the greatest kids! I look forward to each day with them!! The Pure Innocence of a Baby

Today has been one of those days. And Delaney has decided to not want to sleep a ton. And as much as I love to hold her and interact with her, those breaks are nice, especially when I have 3 other little ones as well. Just when I got to that point of frustration today my sweet little girl gives me this huge smile and starts to 'talk' a ton. I couldn't help but cry, smile and feel guilty for being frustrated. These little people come with huge spirits and I am constantly amazed by them. I am so very grateful for my kids. I am grateful for the things that they teach me, the little things to be grateful for, that I would have missed if I didn't have these little ones running around here. Laney and I just sat her, she smiled and talked and I watch in amazement at her. She is 2 months old and is absolutely amazing to me. I have watched as Haden has become this wonderful helper and wants to help me out. He is a great big brother and loves that he can help his brothers and sister. Grant has developed and become so independent since he started pre-school. He is growing and learning so much, it is awesome. Cole is learning new things daily and is such a happy little guy that you can't help but smile when he does. I feel very inadequate to have this amazing spirits as a part of my family. I often wonder what their purpose is on this earth, what they are going to do. I feel they have great things ahead of them and I am very humbled and very grateful for them in my lives.

Primary Program ~ Oh So Fun!

Today was the Primary Program and Haden was so excited. He of course was the child who went to the bathroom twice :) He also enjoyed biting his pants, jumping and many other lovely things. My Mom and Dad came to see him and he LOVED that, so did Grant and Cole who played with them the entire meeting! As I leaned over to say to my Mom that I can't believe Haden, as he was being crazy, she told me that I needed to look around. Haden wasn't the only child acting like that, which he wasn't and everyone was probably watching their kids, so it is okay :) Anyway, His part was 'I am grateful for my dinosaurs, how I can do sommersaults, my nice clothes and my nice bed.' The Primary presidency called and asked him what he was grateful for and this is what he told her, and what they made into his part. He did good, at first pretended like he didn't know it, but he did and did great! I also got a video of Laney 'talking' away today, I took it side ways, sorry! But you can hear her and it is fun, so I hope you enjoy it!



We also have a video of Cole, who has started to greet Jeff (or anyone walking in or out of a room) by throwing his hands in the air and yelling "HEEEEEYYYYY". It is was too cute and makes me laugh everytime!

We did a mini photo shoot to get a new picture of Laney for our wall, so there are a couple of her :), We also went to a park here that is referred to as the dinosaur park. It is lots of fun and has ducks and a little water park, and a huge playground and sand pile. The boys had a blast!! Just double click on the picture! Love you all!!

Pre-School Fun!!

Well yesterday we went on a field trip with the boys' pre-school, to Anderson Dairy and then to the park afterwards. It was a lot of fun! I was worried at first to take all 4 kids, mainly because of Cole :) But he was great! And stayed in the stroller through the whole tour. Plus my Mom was kind enough to help me when it came time for eating the ice cream, I was feeding Laney, and so she helped Cole eat ice cream. I wasn't sure I wanted to go with all 4 of them, I hadn't done all 4 by myself besides driving across town with them. So going out somewhere made me very nervous! I know I can do 3, so that has never worried me, but the thought of one more, well I wasn't so sure about it. But it worked and turned out to be just fine! I told Jeff I feel like I can go anywhere with them now, which is a great feeling :) Then after the dairy we went to a park and let the kids play. Cole climbed up the big kids playground and as I look up I see Haden sitting Cole down on the biggest slide and pushes him. As I run over to see if Cole is okay, I meet him at the bottom. He had this almost confused look on his face, but wasn't crying or upset. So I talked to Haden and let him know he can't push Cole down by himself, but he could take him down if he went down with him. So soon after I see Haden sliding down with Cole, and Cole LOVED it! So Fun!

Officially 2 months, where did it go?!!

Well as of Saturday, Delaney is officially 2 months old! I can't believe how quickly time goes. She went in for her shots and well check today and she is 11 lbs. 12 oz. and 23 inches long. She is right on track for weight and is in the 80% for height. Everything looks good and she smiled for everyone in the office. In fact our doctor asked if she was smiling and right as she asked it Delaney gave her a huge grin. It couldn't have been timed any better. I laugh because the whole office knows us as soon as we walk through the door. I told Jeff that it is because we dare to take in all 4 kids in at the same time (not what we like to do, but sometimes we have to). They all asked me where the boys were, and Jeff was kind enough to go in early today so he could come home and watch the boys while I went. Kind of nice to be out with only Delaney :) Anyway, just thougth I would give you a quick update and of course show off our cute kiddos :) Just double click on the picture and then again on the first picture to make them bigger and read the captions. 2 months

Little boys love BUGS!

So this morning Haden was headed to wash his hands when he saw a cricket. He yells 'Mom there's a cricket over here'. So I tell him to go wash his hands (I was feeding Laney and figured I would get it once I am done). Before I can even tell him I will get it Haden and Grant start yelling 'we need to get it, where's a shoe we could squish it'. Grant grabs a shoe and starts pounding this poor cricket to it's death, Haden kept telling him how good of a job he is doing, and Cole was standing there with this huge smile on his face. I just sat and laughed as I thought 'I am glad they got it, I don't like bugs'. They then get a tissue and clean up the shoe and this cricket and all join each other in the bathroom to watch it get flushed. Cole clapped and the boys were all so proud. I do have to say that Grant has improved a ton, he used to run from bugs, so that he is wanting to even come close, let along get a cricket it quite amazing :) Laney and I are so lucky to have so many boys in our lives to 'get the bugs' for us! I wish I could have taken pictures of the looks on their faces, but I couldn't. They were great though, and I am sure you can just picture it all :)!!

8 Weeks Already?!!!

Well as of this past Monday Delaney is officially 8 weeks old! She will be 2 months old on Saturday. It is so crazy to me, there is a part that seems like she has been with us forever and then there is a part of me that can't believe that it has already been 2 months! She is getting bigger, more awake and a lot longer. I think she may be on the tall side when she is older, which I know some really pretty tall girls, so that is okay! She smiles all the time, and a ton when her brothers are around. She is staying awake a lot more, so that is fun, and we are learning how to balance all of the boys along with her being awake. I think each stage is going to teach us something new! We are enjoying the cooler weather here and the boys love it because they can go outside without dying. Although it is all dirt in our backyard, they still have fun! It usually doesn't get this cool outside until Halloween, so this is not normal, but I am definitely not complaining! Jeff got his results back from his interview with the Elevators Union, he ranked 74 on the list. And he got an 81.5%!! So he is on the list and now we are just waiting for them to hire. So your prayers that the will start hiring very soon would be much appreciated!! Well once again, some more pictures :) I hope you enjoy them! Orange Chicken Recipe!

We absolutely LOVE this recipe and if you have ever had PF Changs Orange Chicken then you will probably like this recipe as well.

P. F. Chang's Orange Peel Chicken Recipe
My favorite restaurant is P.F. Chang's and this is my favorite dish! If you like spicy dishes then you'll love this one! UPDATE: Temperature can be controlled by the addition or reduction of the oriental chili-garlic sauce.

Sauce
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons minced garlic
4 green onions, sliced
1 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons oriental chili-garlic sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
chicken
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 chicken breast fillets
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1 orange (peel from 1/4 orange, julienned into 1/8-inch thick strips)
1 cup sugar snap peas

1. Prepare sauce by heating 1 tablespoon of oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sliced green onions. Add tomato sauce and water quickly before the garlic burns. Add sugar, chili garlic sauce and soy sauce and bring to a boil. Simmer 5 to 6 minutes or until sauce thickens, then turn off the heat.

2. Prepare the chicken by heating 1/2 cup oil in a wok over medium heat. Slice chicken breast fillets into bite-size pieces. Combine beaten egg with milk in a medium bowl. Pour the flour into another medium bowl.
3. Coat chicken pieces by dropping them into the flour a few at a time, then into the egg/milk mixture and back into the flour. Arrange coated chicken on a plate until all chicken is coated.
4. When oil in the wok is hot, add about half of the chicken to the oil and cook for a couple minutes or until brown on one side, then flip the chicken over. When chicken is golden brown, remove the pieces to a rack or paper towels to drain. Repeat with the remaining chicken. When all of the chicken is cooked rinse the oil out of the wok with water and place it back on the stove to heat up.
5. When wok is hot again add julienned orange peel and chicken. Heat for 20 to 30 seconds or so, stirring gently. Add sugar peas and sauce to the pan and cook for about 2 minutes. Stir dish a couple times but do it gently so you don't knock the coating off the chicken. Cook until the sauce thickens then serve up the dish with white or brown rice on the side.

**we don't do the green onions or the snap peas, and it is still delicious! Also instead of doing the julienned orange strips, we just grate the orange peel, something Jeff and I prefer. Just some ideas!!

1. I worked at the front desk for IHS Physical Therapy. I scheduled appointments, checked people in, took phone calls and even helped out in the back when needed. I actually enjoyed working with people (usually elderly people).
2. I worked for Latter-Day Book as part time. That was a fun job, especially because there was never a day that didn't go by when you didn't have someone you knew come into the store. And the discount was nice :)
3. I worked for Wright Engineers as a receptionist and then went to the back office. I loved working there and running the back office and making sure projects got out on time. I loved the people I worked with.
4. I was a receptionist for a doctors office. It was quite an interesting job and I learned a lot about all types of people. I also learned more than I needed about trans men and women. I met some who you knew right away they weren't what they wanted to be, and others who I would have never known.

Delaney's Smiles :)

Delaney smiles all the time now, it is so fun!! The other morning I pulled down the cover on her carseat and got some HUGE smiles and luckily had my camera with me. These are the first and best pictures we have of a full smile! I was so excited that I wanted to post it :) She really does smile a lot and it is starting to be more towards us, but usually she is smiling to (what Jeff and I say) must be family that is here watching over her. She talks and smiles while she is just staring off all the time, it would be fun to see who is there. I have been enjoying getting out of the house to take the boys to pre-school, and in the morning (during Grant's class) we go to my sister, Adri's house. It helps to get out and not be stuck in the house with 4 kids :) So I took my camera with me and got some really cute pictures of Lily and Jack (Adri's little ones), and thought I would add those to my post for all of my family to see them. The Latest on the Nicks Fam :)

Well life has been crazy and fun! We have been really enjoying our cute kids and laugh a ton at the new things they say, come up with or do. On Sunday we went and ate dinner at another family's house in our ward. They have 2 kids, ages 3 and 7 months. So needless to say we are a little bigger than they are :) Well Delaney decided she was going to have a rough afternoon and cried for about 1 1/2 of the 2 hours we were there. And Cole decided to have a 20 minute screaming fit for no reason that we could figure out, but it ended as fast as it came and he went on to play. The husband said to Jeff that they thought about having other kids, but now he didn't know. And we don't think he was kidding, I hope that he doesn't base that on our crazy family. But Haden and Grant played with their 3 yr. old daughter and had a blast! When it came time to leave, we were cleaning up, and Grant says to me 'but I'm going to miss her'. So I say, it's okay we will have to play another time. Well thinking he was talking about the little girl, he goes over to the Mom and asks for a hug and a kiss. So I am totally laughing, he was going to miss the Mom!!! She gave him a kiss on the cheek and then he kissed her cheek and then gave her a hug. It was too sweet and way too funny. After that she said the boys could come over any time, I think he melted her heart :) Then Haden seemed to have a little crush on the 3 yr old. He told her that she danced pretty, and was shy to tell me about it. Anyway it was fun to get to know them, I just wish all of our kids behaved! Delaney is finally filling out more and smiles a ton! It is way too fun, but is going way too fast! She is 7 weeks old today, that is just crazy to me! Anyway, I wanted to update pictures for all of you! Hope you enjoy them! Oh to be like a little child!

Well the other day I learned how much our boys pay attention and listen! Haden and Grant were playing and I looked over just in time to notice Haden with his hands on Grant's head and he says 'by the power from up above I lay my hands on your head' then went on to bless him to be better and then ended it. They were so cute and Haden was so proud when Grant got up and was 'all better'. Haden said something about doing that to me today and so we talked about blessings and prayers and he said well you just pray and Heavenly Father does it. Oh to have the faith of a little child, something I so need to work on. Haden and Grant are LOVING pre-school! They look forward to it everyday, and are upset when it isn't their pre-school day. It is fun to watch Grant learn and start to identify things he has learned, he gets so excited! They both love that they get to do what the other one has done. They did these papers with their hand prints on them and it talked about how amazing their hands are. Well my Mom asked them what their hands can do! Haden's said 'a headstand, somersaults, wiggle, grab flip flops, eat food, hug and pull hair.' Grant's said 'Punch the whole building, clap, pick up and drive a truck.' I love to hear what little ones have to say!! Cole is absolutely hilarious, anyone who is around him will tell you that. He loves to laugh and dance, those two things can keep him happy for a long time those and reading books, over and over again! He is getting so big, and really it feels like just yesterday that he was as little as Laney is. Man time sure does fly! Laney is filling out, she is still so little though. And she is more awake and alert, which is sometimes hard to handle when you are trying to entertain an infant along with 3 boys :). She is the joy of all our lives and is the center of attention. We couldn't ask for better kids, and we love and adore them so much!! We have to wonder how we got so lucky and so blessed! We also celebrated Jeff's 28th Birthday! He thinks he is old :) It was a fun night and the boys love birthdays, but I forgot to take pictures, sorry!! Anyway, I have some more pictures of my cute kids :) I hope you enjoy them!!

Labor Day and More Fun!!

Well we got to spend Labor day just relaxing, and it was so nice after the hectic weekend of getting ready for the blessings. We laid around the house for the morning and just enjoyed having Jeff home and being with our kids. Then later that afternoon we went to my parents for a BBQ and swimming. Jeff took Delaney in and she didn't so much like it. She was tired and actually started falling back asleep once she was in the water. But it was still fun to put her in. We had fun with my grandparents who got to stay until Tuesday, so we got to spend more time with them, which we all love to do. The boys also started pre-school this past week, they go to pre-school with Grammy. Grant is going in the morning and Haden goes in the afternoon. They were so excited to go and loved every minute of it! I am so grateful to my Mom for putting my boys in her pre-school, they both love going to pre-school with her. Cole is hilarious! He actually started spinning in circles the other day and he makes himself dizzy! We tried to get it on video, but he wouldn't do it, so when we can sneak a video we will. Delaney is 1 month old! I was just saying to Jeff that I can't believe it has been a month, but at the same time it feels like she has been here forever! Crazy, crazy!! Anyway, here are so more pictures. Delaney's Blessing Day!

Well yesterday was Delaney's blessing day! It was such a wonderful day filled with family and fun. The spirit was so strong and it was just an amazing day! She is 'officially' Delaney Marie Nicks and is so very beautiful! Jeff did a great job keeping his concentration while Laney decided to holler and complain throughout the blessing. Delaney was blessed in the same dress I was blessed in, one that my Mom made me 25 years ago. It has been something I have always wanted to do and so I was excited to have a girl that I could pass that dress on to her! My sister Adri's little girl, Lily, was also blessed yesterday and so it was fun to share this day with them. Adri also had a dress like mine and so it was so cute to have both girls in them and how beautiful they both looked. We appreciate and enjoyed all the family that was able to make it for the blessings, thank you so much for taking the time to come and be here with all of us! We missed all of you who were not able to make it! Well, like always, here are pictures! Our Crazy Life!

Well 4 kids are lots of fun, totally crazy, but fun :) The boys are absolutely in love with their sister, it is so cute to watch and know that she is going to be one protected little girl. We are all adjusting and enjoying being a family of 6! I just have to smile and know that this is our life and it is so much fun. I have had to adjust to our house not being picked up as much as I would like throughout the day, and just know the most important thing is that I get to spend time with my kids, take it easy and recover. I love being a Mom, and even though it is hard, at the end of the day the hugs, kisses and simple words 'I Love You' from their little mouths makes it all totally worth it!! I am so grateful for everyone who has helped us out, we truly appreciate you! We have the best family and friends and wouldn't know what to do without you! We have enjoyed all the visitors, especially the boys who love when people come to visit! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! Here are the most recent pictures, just click on the picture to see them!

Lovin' Life :)

Well we are having so much fun with adjusting to a family of 6! It actually isn't too bad, there are those times, but you are always going to have those times. It is quite funny to go out places and watch all the people stare. We get plenty of it, and in fact we were walking into a store and as we were crossing the road, this car didn't stop for us to cross, but as they drove passed they slowed down and watched us. I think they are just jealous :) Atleast that is what I tell myself. I thought I would post and get some new pictures up, so here they are! Just click on the picture to view all of them :)

There really are 4!!

Well we are enjoying having Delaney finally here! We love to have Jeff home helping us out and do not look forward to him going back to work. The boys continue to love their sister and enjoy her all the time. It is amazing at how we all are just adjusting to the life with 4 kids, even though there are going to be hard times ahead we are getting used to it. Delaney isn't awake a ton yet, but she does have her times, and those are times her brothers look forward to! She has the cutest little cry and we are blessed that she doesn't cry unless she is hungry, she is such a good baby! Cole still seems so small, but yet growing all the time. He is such a charmer and has such a fun outgoing personality. He has been handling all of these adjustments very well! Anyway, we got some new pictures of everyone that we thought we would share with all of you!

Our Little Girl is Here!!!!

Delaney Marie was born on August 6th at 8:09 am, 7 lbs. 1 oz. and is 18 inches long. She is so cute and was are so excited that she is here!! The boys are in love with her and it is so fun to have her here! Here are some pictures:

Last Few Days of Being a Family of 5!!

Well this little girl attempted to arrive last week, but it was stopped by my doctor giving me an IV and medication. At first I was really irritated, but I decided to look at it as it must not have been her time. So she has decided to wait it out until her scheduled c-section, which will be this coming Monday, the 6th, at 7:30 am. Jeff and I get to arrive at 5:30 am, fun for us but so worth it in the end! Everything happens for a reason and so we have just taken this past week to spend time with the boys and enjoy our last few days of being a family of 5, and having only boys. It is crazy to me that the next post I make will be pictures of our new addition, a little girl, who we are all so eager and excited to meet. Haden and Grant continue to ask daily when I am going to the doctors (the hospital) so they can come see their baby. We have countdowns and talk about it all the time! I am ready to meet her, see what/who she looks like and just hold her! I love you all and hope you are all doing well! Havin' Fun and Hanging Out!!

We got to spend time with the cousins on Jeff's side, and the boys had a Blast! They love being around family and getting to play with their cousins, so any time that happens they are thrilled and can't wait to do it again. While we were at Bob and Trudy's house Cole decided it was time to WALK!!!! He started walking all over their house and has started to walk all over the place since. It has been so fun to watch him figure it out, and to be so proud of himself. We are so happy and very glad that he has picked up on the whole walking thing before our baby gets here!

We were suppose to have my c-section on the 31st of July, but thanks to the wonderful scheduler at my OB's office, she didn't schedule it until the 6th of August. Um...that is only 2 days before my original due date, needless to say I was not happy and neither was my OB. So the only benefit of having a scheduled c-section is getting to schedule everything, will not be happening with this one. As my OB does not think that I will make it to that day. And we are going to try all kinds of things to make it happen earlier, so.... if you have any great ideas I would love to hear them :) So we will let you all know once 'she' is here! I will get to experience the first part of labor again, seems how that is the only way they will let me into the hospital to have my c-section, unless she waits until the scheduled day (which I pray we don't have to wait that long).

The Past 2 Weeks, As Well As The 4th of July!!!

For the 4th of July we got up early and went to a parade with my parents and my Brother Nate and his wonderful family. It was VERY HOT! We were so grateful for Nate and Jenn bringing a canopy to help shade us :) The boys had so much fun! We went swimming later and had lunch. Then took naps and went to Jeff's family BBQ and ate and did fireworks! We learned that the boys really don't like doing fireworks, they like to watch the ones in the sky. But we had lots of fun! Here are some pictures from that!

Jeff is the greatest Dad!!

For Father's Day this year we decided to not give gifts for it or Mother's day. Well that is really hard for me :) So I made Jeff this video:

I have had so much fun doing them and thought it was a good gift! I also had the boys make little books that had all the different reasons they love their dad and things they like to do with their dad. Haden said: 'My Dad is Tall like a Giant', 'I would like to go to his work with my Dad', 'When I grow up I want to be like my Dad so I can work on stuff', 'My Dad likes to drive a car', 'My Dad's Favorite food is Pizza', 'I love to help my Dad feed Cole', I love my Dad more than 5 minutes', 'My Dad is the greatest because I love him'. Grant said: 'I would like to paint my Dad's hand', 'My Dad is bigger tall', 'My Dad like to hug me', 'When I grow up I want to be like my Dad so I can go to bed', 'I Love to hug my Dad', My Dad's favorite food is eating breakfast', My Dad is the greatest because we go to stores', 'I love my Dad more that me and you'. Then they each drew pictures throughout the book. It was fun, the boys loved doing it! We love Jeff so much! And we hope he had a Happy Father's Day!!

Our life as we know it!

Well we are realizing more and more each day that we are going to have 4 kids! That is just scary :) But we will manage, really we don't have any choice! This past weekend we went and bought a minivan! We have officially joined the Mormon families :) We were able to do it with no money down and we are loving the room! The boys love being up high and having one! So that is some exciting news!
The boys (well Haden and Grant, Cole has no clue what is going on) are so excited to have a baby let alone a sister. They can't wait. Haden keeps asking me when I am going to go to the doctors so he can get my baby. It is too cute! We actually have 3 different countdowns (at the request of the boys) and so each morning, and night they have something to do as well as every Sunday night. They look forward to those and remind me more than I remember to do them! I thought I would just post a few recent pictures of the boys!
