Our little Harrison

Harrison has been growing a lot since I've blogged.  Here are his latest milestone picture.

 7 months

 Kate likes to hold Harrison but it doesn't last long because he is heavy!  BTW, Harrison no longer needs his helmet.  He wore it for about 2.5 months and now has a perfectly round little noggin.

 Our friends from St. Louis, Nathan and Becky, came for a visit!  They were on their way back home from a trip to Ecuador and stopped off in Dallas to spend a few days with us.  We met them at our church when we lived in St. Louis.  The last time we saw them, Kate was 18 months old.  It was great seeing them and catching up!

This is such a fun age!  Harrison, you are so happy all the time, unless you are hungry or tired but rarely do you fuss.  You love to watch your big sisters act silly.  You are eating all your pureed fruits and veggies.  The only thing you haven't liked are anything with pureed meat in it and I can't say that I blame you.  You've started on some table food.  You still take 2 naps a day.  We will see how much you weigh in a couple of days at your checkup.  I know you are over 20 lbs!  You are such a joy and so handsome!  I just love being your mommy!

Harrison's Milestones!

I haven't blogged in forever!!  Let's just say it's not on the top of my priority list each day, but I am always glad when I update it, so better late than never I guess!

 I had to tickle him to get a smile for the camera.  He is incredibly ticklish.

 Fixin' my flat!  Harrison, poor baby, has a slight flat spot on his left side and will have to wear this DOC band to correct it.  We think he'll only need it for 3 months.  I still need to put some cool design on it.  It's boring white right now.  He's done really well with it and we're already seeing improvment!

 It's hard to tell in photos, but Harrison has white blonde hair.  I LOVE it!  His G calls him "Cotton top"

Harrison Is Growing

Wow!  Having 3 kids means no more time for blogging!  I am so behind it's just sad!  So here's a bunch of catching up!

Harrison.  He is just the sweetest thing.  I can't say enough that I love having a boy!  Maybe it's just because it's different, but it's such a special relationship and I'm so glad God blessed us with a son.

  Harrison weighed 11 lbs 15oz (50%) and his length was 34" (50-75%) at his 2 month check-up.
Harrison you smile when your mommy, daddy or sisters start talking to you or tickling you.  sometimes we can get you to laugh when we tickle you.  It's so darn cute!  You are not on a schedule yet but you are awake for quite a bit of the day.  You usually go to bed around 10:00pm and wake up around 3am to eat and then you go back to sleep until about 7am.  You are starting to bat at some or your toys on your play gym.  We can't wait to watch you grow and see what your personality will be like, but don't grow up too fast!  Your my last baby and I want to remember every moment!

Morgan is 2!!

Our sweet little Morgan turned 2 on August 29th.  Poor thing had a fever and wasn't quite herself so we just stayed home and opened presents and had cake.  I had all these plans to take the girls somewhere fun, but oh well.  She didn't seem to mind spending her birthday at home.  We're celebrating with family next weekend so that should be fun!

I can't believe how big you are Morgan!  You have changed so much in the last few months and look and act so grown-up.  You had your check-up with Dr. Richardson last week.  You weighed 26lbs. (25-50%) and were 34.5"tall (75%) and your BMI as in the 22%.  You re  saying new words everyday but not quite stringing words together yet. You absolutely love following Kate around and playing with her but you also get frustrated with her a lot too!  You love babies and especially your new baby brother.  You love to hug and kiss him and he's the first person you want to see when you wake up in the mornings.  You and Kate share a bed at night but you still nap in your crib for now....until Harrison will need it.  You don't like to get into trouble and when you do, you get your feelings hurt.  Morgan,  we are so happy you are our little girl and we can't wait to watch you grow and see what God has in store for you.  We love you!

Introducing.....

Harrison Marten Wells

6lbs. 9oz.  18.9" long

Quick story of our little man's arrival:  We went to bed around 11pm.  I woke up at 12:30 with a really strong contraction and next thing I know my water broke!  Talk about great timing.  I didn't care though, I was so uncomfortable and ready to have this baby that I was ready to go!  Thankfully our girls were staying with Leland's parents so we got our things together and headed to the hospital.  On the way I started noticing my contractions were getting stronger and really close together.  I think Leland was going about 100 mph down George Bush Turnpike and running every red light.  We went to the emergency room and they took their time getting my info, meanwhile I'm starting to feel like the baby is coming soon!  I told them they needed to hurry and they realized I could have this baby any time now so they got me going pretty quick.  I was suppose to have a repeat c-sec and when the nurse checked me I was 7cm dilated.  She kept trying to talk me into a v-bac but I had planned on getting my tubes tied and was was not prepared to change the game plan at the last minute.  All I wanted at this point was the epidural and I didn't care how they got him out of me!  Ha!  Anyway, 2 hours after my water broke, our little man arrived.  He looked perfect and hearing him cry when he came out was music to my ears.  Thank you Lord for blessing us with 3 beautiful healthy children and having a son this time was just a bonus!

 Kate and Morgan meeting their brother for the first time.  Unfortunately Kate had a little bit of a fever and we couldn't let her hold him so we wheeled him out in the waiting room so they could get a look at him.

              Harrison is one week old here.  He was wide awake.  I think he looks a little like Kate when she was a newborn.  He has been a great baby so far.  He sleeps good at night.  Most times I have to wake him up to feed him and he usually goes right back to sleep.  He poops A LOT!  I have gone through more diapers with Harrison so far!  I pray this laid back personality stays this way.  We are just so in love with him and the girls cannot stop kissing him and holding him.   Morgan just calls him baby and kate calls him sweet baby brother or sweet Harrisony.  I have had help from family since we've been home but am anxious to see how I'm going to juggle 3 kids at home when it's just me!  Yikes!  I wouldn't have it any other way though.  I love my little family!
