The Nutcracker

Sunday after church Reagyn and I drove to Fort Worth.  We ate at Raisin Cane's and it was delish!  Then we went to Bass Performace Hall to see the Nutcracker performed by the Texas Ballet Company.  It was such a fun day with my girl.  I didn't get a pic at the ballet...sooooo many people!  But I got one when we ate.  :) 

 

 

Hico FFA Barn Show

The first Saturday of Christmas Break was our local Hico FFA Barn Show.  We showed in the city park and the weather was perfect!  Cool and sunny.

 It was a small, laid back show.  I love those!  It is meant to be a teaching and practice time for the students before the county show.  There were a total of three steers there.  They showed on the grass with no fence or panels.  The fencing in the pics below are for the goats, lambs and pigs.  Here they are showing...Reagyn really did show hers but you can't see her in the pic. :)

 Both did an AWESOME job!!  Reagyn showed the Grand Champion steer and won a buckle.   Karson showed the Reserve Grand and got a neat metal plaque. 

After the show, we went to see the new Star Wars movie.  It was a nice end to a great day!

Christmas Band Concert



So proud of this girl!  Reagyn did an awesome job in her Christmas Band Concert.  5th and 6th graders are required to take band.  In 7th she will get to choose whether she continues or not.  I was amazed to see how much they've learned just since the beginning of the year.  She has always enjoyed music and really enjoys playing her flute.  I have a feeling we will be watching band concerts for years to come! :)

 

So glad Nana took the time to join us.  She and Reagyn both love music and playing instruments.  Reagyn was pumped that Nana was in her cheering section too. :)

Decorating for Christmas

After our trip to New Home, we decorated for Christmas.  I was soooo excited!  We didn't get to decorate much last year due to the move.  Minor problem, however when we got all the décor and trees down.  Rats got into two of my trees. Grrrrrr and eeewwww! I had to buy a new tree for the living room and a new school tree.  I had forgotten how much stuff I had...and most of it was hand made by Memaw Billie.  What a blessing! 

 

 

The kids helped me decorate the big tree and lost interest after that. :)  Love the way it turned out!

Thanksgiving Break

Hico was out a whole week for Thanksgiving.  It was nice!  We went to Jami's for a night and had some cousin time.  We got to eat Thanksgiving lunch with Camryn at school.

 

 

 Then we went to Nana's.  All the cousins were together.   

 They enjoyed playing and she even had crafts for them to do.  :)

 We got to see Gran and her new kitchen.  She had Halloween gifts for the kids...these Tech shirts.  Thanks Gran!

 Then they decorated the tree and we got them all for a pic.

 The next day we went to Mamme and DadDad's for Thanksgiving.  Everyone got to be there. And we forced the kids to slow down long enough to get a pic in front of Mamme's pretty Christmas tree.

We are so thankful for our families!  We miss them now that we have moved away, but it makes our time together that much sweeter. :)

Hico Hoopsters

Reagyn decided to participate in Hico Hoopsters this year.  Coach Haley does such a good job with the kids.  It's quite the show.  They performed at a Tarleton game and a Hico game.  She did an awesome job!!  Probably the cutest thing she did was stand there while a kindergartener dribbled through her legs.  Now that little guy could dribble! lol 

 

Nana, Jami, Camryn, Addisyn and Zoey came to watch the Tarleton performance.  Boo felt extra special having her own cheering section. :)

Gregory Gathering

Mom hosted the Gregory clan at her house for a meal and visit.  So good to see everyone.  There were 37 of us and 2 unborn babies!  Hard to believe it started with Mom-o and Dan-o so many years ago.

We always complain about taking pics, but we wont always get the chance to take them!  Thanks Nana and Jami for prodding us along. :)

Halloween

Reagyn decided to carve a pumpkin.  All I did was cut the top off.  She managed to do the rest on her own.  It was awesome not having to finish the carving this year!! :)

 Turned out nicely!  Way to go Boo!

 Karson helped with the carnival for Project Graduation.  He was a deer in the bulls eye game.

 Reagyn decided to be a flapper girl this year.

Homecoming

I didn't get a pic every day of spirit week but here are a few! 

 

Twin Day

 Karson dressed like Ryan...down to the cast on his hand.  So funny!

 Reagyn, Piper and Kaatje look alike most days with glasses and pony tails but they decided to wear blue shirts and jeans.  They were cute.

 

Western Day

Boo loved dressing in her western duds.  Karson chose not to...he had early morning workout that day and didn't want to be hot all day.

 

Red Out

Karson wore his red body suit and Nana sprayed his hair with red hair spray.  Reagyn had Nana spray her pony tail red.

Reagyn decided the morning of homecoming that she wanted a mum.  So afterschool she looked through my craft stuff and put this together!  She was so excited and I have to say considering what she had to work with, the mum was amazing!!
