Christmas Day at Home

We drove back home Christmas Eve.  Christmas morning I was the first one up!  I enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate with a blanket and the air conditioning running!  Finally about 8am they decided it was time to get up.

Yes, I got them gloves and toboggans that they didn't need. :)  We opened presents then went to Sville to see Rogue One.  Such a good movie!  10am on Christmas is the perfect time to watch a movie too...not very many others out and about yet. After we got home, Lanny cooked a pork loin on the new pellet grill.  We played games and hung out.  It was a great family day!

Christmas at Mamme and DadDad's

Christmas Eve was spent at Mamme and DadDad's house.  The kids were super excited to open presents.  They felt like Shannon and Crystal took FOREVER to show up. ;)

 

 

 Karson had been waiting months for his new Xbox!  

 Reagyn got a new bike.  Here she is on Christmas Day at home riding....yes...in shorts!  It was a beautiful day.   She also got a new bean bag chair for her room.  I apparently didn't get a pic of that!

 I got a cow bell for football games!!!  Andrea won't be the only loud fan now! :)

We also got a pellet grill.  LOVING it already.  Thanks Mamme and DadDad!!

We had fun visiting, playing games, eating and just hanging out.  Donnie joined us and brought everyone's favorite desserts...and envelopes! :)

The kids really liked the Saran wrap ball with all the prizes in it.  Thanks Aunt Crystal for the awesome idea.  Gonna have to make that a new tradition.  We sure missed Shane, Ashley and the girls!

Christmas at Nana's

Friday we spent at Nana's for Christmas.  There was lots of food, games and presents!

 Karson drew Jayton's name and new just what to give him.  His PS3!  

Jayton was SOOOOO excited. :)

 

 The Arnold's bought for Karson.  He had a cylinder shaped gift that was super heavy.  Felt like rocks in there.  He couldn't figure it out....$30 in NICKELS!!!

 He also got a VR thing from Nana.  Pretty cool to play on.

Nana got new pics of the kids!  It was a quick visit but we had fun and ate WAY too much!  Thanks Nana for having us!!  We still missed Jeff and Camryn.  :(

Christmas at Gran's

Thursday when school released we headed to New Home.  Our first Christmas stop was supper at Gran's.  Tim fixed his yummy chicken fajitas.  Food was delish.  Plus the kids got presents to open (and the adults got envelopes)!!!  We had a good visit.  We were just missing Camryn and Jeff.  Roonie was sick and didn't get to come. :(

Hico Barn Show

Well...we did it!  Showed pigs for the first time.  We couldn't have asked for prettier weather.  Cool in the morn, but was 77 degrees by the time it was over.  In two short hours, however, the cold weather blew in.  Luckily we were finished!

 Reagyn and Batman showed in the first pig class.  She did a good job and he didn't run like she thought he would.  She got 2nd out of 2.  Still a success for us!

 

Karson was in the next class.  A-A-Ron didn't run either and Karson did a good job showing.  He had several more in his class.  He got 5th out of 5.  Luckily Lanny had a talk with them before the show about the likelihood of them getting last.  He told them it was a good possibility and they better not throw a fit.  They didn't!  

This pig thing has been a learning experience for all of us.  Looking forward to what they will do at the county show in two weeks.

Christmas Band Concert

 Reagyn did an awesome job at the band concert.  She's been 1st chair this whole semester!  And since she plays flute, we can see her during the concert.  :)  They have improved SO much since last year.  So proud of her.

Junior High UIL

Reagyn was super excited about UIL this year.  We picked out this outfit just for that day.  She even got up extra early so I could curl her hair!!  That's dedication for Boo...she HATES getting up early. :)

 She was selected for the Impromptu Speaking Team, Dictionary,  and Editorial Writing.  She especially likes the speaking events.  Her coach Mr. Brister told me on more than one occasion how excited he is about her.  He is looking forward to coaching her for years to come.  He told me he was sure she would place this year.  Sure enough!  She got 4th!!!  And is ready to do it again next year.

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

GBF youth had an ugly Christmas sweater party.  The kids were so excited.  I told them to use something they already had and decorate it.  Here's what they came up with.

Plenty ugly!  But Karson ultimately won the ugliest at the party.  He was pretty excited. :)

  We got the Christmas tree up so we had to take the annual pic in front of the tree.  This time Annabelle joined them.  She's smiling too!! :)

Reagyn helped me tremendously this year in getting the decor up.  So happy with the way it turned out.  Guess I better mention:  Boys helped get it out of attic!
