assEssment today was terribLe. i was SoOOoo NErvouS. my Hands Were shakIng whiLe i was plAyIng. shucks. N my sweaty pAlMs. ArghS! cant rmb muCh of what was going On..Everything was a blUr. thiNK i was playing quiTe slOWly. and i didn't oNCe lOOk at my score.. Arghs. bUt i oNly made oNE mistake at the bEginNIng. So lIm Soon LEe was lIke.. "GOOD. GOOd. i lIKE uR memOrising."
thEn eileen was liKe.. a good musician isn't supposed to memorise the piece, cos it means tt u won't look at the conductor when u're playing.
Which i think is quite true. but the assessment was quite screwed uP.
we didn't get to warm up on the instruments there
-that means that we won't be able to play properly. the dimensions of the mallets are different from Nj's mallets. and since i've been practising on nj's marimba, i ain't really used to the one at syO. i'm so used to nj's marimba that i can play w/o looking at the instruments at all.
well anyway.. point is.. this assessment isn't really practical, cos it ain't really hOw i'd be for a real concert. but yAh. kinda difficult to explain. just hope i didn't screw it uP toO badly ehs. sigh.
