Garrett has started a business specializing in bakery and resturant repair. This is the logo Garrett, his Dad and his friend Steve put together. We were really excited to put it on the truck be offical and all that stuff.

A little while ago we watch Christopher's kids while they were on a trip, it was weird having the children we would have had if we had continued. Nobody told us 3 kids was the hard part and after that it was the same chaos.

Beautiful

When my parents moved us to Mt. Pleasant when I was a teenager I thought we had moved to the ugliest place I had ever seen (that was even after Mont. Creek) I don't know what was wrong with my eyes other than I was an teenager. We took the kids up skyline drive and Maple canyon. I'm amazed at the beauty of this valley

While in Maple Canyon we were wandering down odd roads and found a doomsday bunker! Of course now Garrett wants one. I told him he could have one he just has to dig it himself.  Suspect it's not going to happen.

Moved and all that stuff

Sooooo, we finally moved, sold our house in Texas and settled in our new house in Mt. Pleasant. It has been a really rough ride but we are finally though some of it. There is no way I can write about everything so I will just put pictures up and tell what was happening.

 This is our new kitchen. We had our old table in there but it took up the whole kitchen so our old friend IKEA had this table with the folding leaves on both sides which has saved our lives and our space. Of course most of the time we actually lift on the leaves to eat...

 First day of school pictures, I am now working as the high school/district librarian so Daddy is in charge of getting the kids up and out.

What do we do in the Spring?

Corner poor toads that what. This poor toad took a wrong direction somewhere and ended up in my backyard. I don't think he even understood the full calamity of his situation, he thought Liesel's screaming and Max's squishing was the worst moment. But the real trouble started when he realized we had two killer dogs on the loose. I'm afraid I'm unsure if "Toady" pulled through there was no evidence left to tell us what happened, just that's he's gone. We will forever just cross our fingers and hope he got away.

Sox Hop

I have no idea how to spell that is it Sox or Sock? I just don't know. Anyway if I don't get these on my Mother-in-law will never talk to me again. Our school does a huge deal for the Soc Hop (another way to spell) last year the kids went but we didn't realize what was involved, the kids start out by wearing their outfits to school (see bottom pic) then the dance is 2 hours. We go to the first half when people are still coming but we can still move around. They learn all sorts of dances during school so they will have some rad moves when the dance time comes. So the whole school gets on the dance floor for YMCA, the Macarena and the peppermint twist. I'm afraid every time I tried to get the kids they were looking away, I tried believe me I tried but alas and alack all we have are cute pictures of their hair. So you can't tell but after this it's so crowded you can't see anyone. Even the adults dress up (although there is no chance you will see me in a poodle skirt) Thanks to Grandma Jodie the girls had skirts this year and all was well....until next year.

Concrete Floors are 1/3 done

It's finished!

A friend gave us this play set and we had to take the whole thing apart to get it to our house so when we got back we decided instead of putting it up the way we got it, we would blend it into the existing fort and finish it off. It turned out perfect! The kids are besides themselves with 2 swings, rings and monkey bars. One more honey-do off the list.

Easter

When Grandma Jodie came she also came with Easter clothes for the kids. So very exciting, it was unfortunate that they had to leave before Easter so I promised to take pictures (see I do so know how to use my camera) They were sleeveless and while they were here Jodie just whipped up some little white jackets to go with them. The best part is they are as cute as anything we could have bought and they will work so many of their dresses. Aren't they cute? At church all these old ladies kept stopping to tell the kids how cute they were. The kids of course just got that cow chewing their cud look on their face ( you know the one I'm talking about) and sat there but at least they were very attractive doing it.

P.s. I kept asking max to open his eyes and this was the best shot. poor thing, he really is a very cute boy.

Grandparents visit

Well once again, I have let my children's memories down because you know we only remember what we took pictures of and of course I didn't take any pictures. Garrett caught these few. Max wanted a shirt with a 45 auto on it (kind of gun) because he is obsessed with 45 auto for some reason (do I even need to mention his father?) So he and grandpa drew and colored one on his shirt.
Jodie brought her sewing machine and sat down with the girls and taught them the beginnings of sewing (thank goodness because if they were waiting for me it was going to be when their dead) They each made a skirt and wore it to school the next day. So fun, Liesel's teacher sent me note later saying how impressed she was that Liesel made it!
Whether I got pictures or not, we had a lot of fun the Grandma Jodie, Grandpa Todd, Chris and Lindsey. I'm so grateful to them for the making the trip instead of the other way around!
