Quest 3 won't connect to steam link unless I restart steam
So I recently got a quest 3. I've been having this very annoying issue that any time I want to connect to my computer using steam link, I must restart steam and connect the instant steam finishes loading. If I don't do this, it will get stuck on connecting for like 30 seconds and give a generic failure message saying it can't couldn't start streaming on the remote computer.

Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

When you are trying to connect to the computer, are you trying to connect in VR mode (e.g. with the VR dashboard and all) or in Remote Play mode (e.g. the 2D 'theater' with Big Picture et al)?

If you are trying to connect in VR mode, I'd be curious what happens if you run Steam, then launch SteamVR manually, then connect with Steam Link on the Quest 3 once SteamVR shows "Waiting for wireless headset to connect..."

If you are trying to connect in the 2D / Big Picture mode... yeah, I got nothing, but I'd be very curious to see your streaming_log.txt.

In *either* case, knowing what your host machine is (Windows 10, Windows 11, MacOS, SteamOS, Ubuntu, CachyOS, Bazzite, etc.) would be useful.
