Steam Link

(New) Steam Controller doesn't work
Using the new steam controller through Steam Link (with the puck, I know there is some beta that apparently fixes the issue when connected with Bluetooth) my PC doesn't recognize a controller connected and I cannot play games using the new controller.

My setup: Google 4k streamer + USB hub, I connect the puck to the usb hub and use the steam controller through the Steam Link app. The Steam Link app detects the new steam controller connected.

1.3.27 is the current beta build, and you're correct this isn't fixed there. It is fixed in the *next* beta build, 1.3.28, and I even just tested on the Google 4K Streamer.

There was an issue with the USB support on Android that didn't get caught in time, but will be in the next beta build (and in the next real release), so should have a fix this week.
thanks for the reply :)
The next version of Steam Link for Android is now available as a beta build.

You can download it from Google Play by opting into the beta here:
https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.valvesoftware.steamlink

Or downloading directly from Valve here:
https://media.steampowered.com/steamlink/android/latest/steamlink-android.apk

Changes in build 1.3.27.305:
Added the ability to specify exact values for streaming bitrate, framerate, and resolution in the streaming settings
Added support for the new Steam Controller connected via Bluetooth
Fixed a hang in streaming settings if the microphone isn't available
1.3.28 is now out as a beta, give that a try.
Testing out the beta on my Google TV, steam controller connected via Bluetooth - I noticed when connected to my PC with steam in big picture the touchpads work mostly as expected when holding down the steam button, but when switching to desktop mode and with steam minimized the touchpads become very unresponsive. Navigation is nearly impossible. Is this something you're aware of?

Edit:
No such issues on my tablet or phone. I'll have to test more when I have time.

Side note - I typically use Sunshine/moonlight but testing out steamlink again I was seriously impressed. The performance has gotten so much better recently and the integration with the virtual display is great. Any chance to be able to set custom options other than steam big picture and desktop as defaults?
Could you elaborate on what sort of custom options you're thinking of?
Sorry it was late when I wrote that. I was thinking of the ability to set a custom application - if you were able to set a list of applications from inside steam in the remote settings section and have steam link pull that and you could then select the application that you wanted to run by default.

Also, anything added as non steam game seems to not show up on the bottom of steam link as shortcuts of recently played games. It would be nice if they did, and be able to edit that list. Maybe have options like recently played, favorites, etc...

We actually have a recently played list on the mobile version. We didn't add it to the TV version due to privacy concerns, but we can definitely revisit that.
Is there any chance non steam games could be included in the recently played list? Also the ability to turn that on/off or change it to show specific games? I did not see that anywhere in the settings. If this is not the right place for me to submit these types of requests I can do it elsewhere. Appreciate the response!
