Steam Link

Steam Link version 1.1.64
Steam Link for Raspberry Pi has been updated with the following changes:
  • Added tooltip descriptions for buttons in the controller overlay
  • Improved detecting changed Steam clients when the host computer's MAC addresses are updated
  • Added an option to share your IP address and attempt to establish a direct connection. The connection will still be relayed if NAT traversal fails or the relayed route is faster.

if i download steamlink for raspbian on my rpi4 it's version 1.0.7.
how can i get version 1.1.64?

apt-get upgrade/update does not work.

Is it a beta?
good to know. thanks a lot!
When we can use steamlink on debian buster?
Is there a way to see the complete software history? I'm trying to figure out if the Experimental 4K support for Pi 4 in the 1.1.61 BETA ever made any progress, and in particular if it made it into the main release. Thanks!

is this what you mean? https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/6/3681064390585946947/
Yes, perfect. Thank you!
I'm having pretty much the same problem as described here. Raspi 4, 4 gb ram, Steamlink app with automatic update, a fresh Raspberry OS, wired connection to host. When the Steam Controller switched on, there is a 20% frame loss and 0% packet loss. I'm not having the same issue with xbox 360 controllers. (0% packet loss).
I was wondering, if this issue might be related to the quite common raspberry wifi mouse lag issue as described here:
https://thepihut.com/blogs/raspberry-pi-tutorials/fix-that-laggy-wifi-mouse

However, the already connected wifi mouse does not seem to cause any trouble. At leas not on its own. It might be the combination of both steam controller AND wifi mouse.

I am getting 10%+ frame loss on the link app, but only when my steam controller is on. if I turn the controller off and use my wireless keyboard, it's at 0% frame loss. The keyboard is not BT and the steam controller has not been updated to BT firmware since I have no need for BT.

edit: I pulled the dongle out of the pi and plugged it in the PC and the frame loss dropped to 0% and control was smooth while streaming, so it doesn't appear to be the controller or dongle, which leaves the link app or the pi itself.

2nd edit: when I boot the pi up the steam controller does not move the mouse cursor on the pi's desktop (it never did), but after running the steamlink app and then stopping remote play it does control the pi's mouse cursor ... it wasn't doing this before.

3rd edit: I plugged the hardware steam link in and am seeing similar behavior, but it is also only when Big Picture mode is on-screen. if BPM is minimized or exited the frame loss drops to 0% again. I also noticed in the performance overlay that the "Capture 1920x1080 @ ..." was jumping erratically and I was seeing numbers in the hundreds of fps, but not in desktop mode. seems it may be directly related to BPM. is there a non-beta steam client forum to report this in? I can only find the beta one, though the problem does exist with the steam beta client and beta steam link firmware too.

for all of the above:
hardwired pc to router to link/pi
Packet Loss is 0.00%
Ping Time: <1ms (direct)
BPM Encoder: Steam D3D10 NV12 + NVENC H264
Desktop Encoder: Desktop DWM NV12 + NVENC
hardware decoding enabled

4th edit: above issue persists after the 7/9 Steam Client update, here are the streaming logs for each device.

https://pastebin.com/EGeF89cU - Pi 3B+ Buster Steamlink App

5th edit: I installed nvidia driver 451.67 and the issue is gone on the hardware link, but persists with raspberry pi steamlink app. if I turn off the steam controller 0.00% frame loss, turn the controller on and 10%+ frame loss in desktop & BPM.
