Manually Downgrade Steam Link

Information for downgrading steamlink was a bit hidden and scattered around so gathering info here for people who might need it

• Copy&paste to terminal using pi user

• Change steamlink-rpi3-1.1.57.137.tar.gz according to version you want to downgrade

• Run steamlink once from terminal to apply update

For future you need to run steamlink with --skip-update argument in order to stay in current version

For raspi3 (stretch) I'm running systemd service for steamlink

• sudo nano /etc/systemd/system/steamlink.service

• sudo systemctl daemon-reload
  
• sudo systemctl enable steamlink.service
  
• sudo systemctl start steamlink.service

For raspi4 (buster) there seems to be multiple methods for autostart as described here https://steamcommunity.com/app/353380/discussions/6/1642042464752247649/. One method which should work for all is adding simple wrapper

• cd /usr/bin/
  
• sudo mv steamlink steamlink.exec
  
• sudo nano steamlink

• sudo chmod 755 steamlink

Hope this helps anyone who for reason or another needs to rollback to older version of steamlink
