Steam Link on Apple TV 4K - Xbox home button as Steam Overlay
Xbox Controller home button is working as Apple Home button on Apple TV 4k. Is it possible to workaround it somehow and use it as Steam Overlay button for Steam Link? Currently, Steam Overlay is mapped to the Select button, but it causes issues in games. For example in Spider Man Miles Morales I can't use Select to open map menu.

Same issue. Tested +4 different controllers Xbox, switch, steam and others. Works fine in app and breaks on stream.
Yes indeed, same issue here. Tested with the same controllers, and also PS4 controller.
This will be fixed in an upcoming Steam client beta.

@slouken: Any ETA on that?
This appears to be fixed in the current version of Steam Link for Apple TV. At least, I'm no longer having the issue - the home button opens maps in games (like Spider-Man Remastered), and only if I push and hold it does the Steam overlay come up.

Thanks slouken! Steam Link on Apple TV 4K is now almost perfect and near-functional for me :) Running 4K60 via HEVC, 7.1 uncompressed audio, and it's a great time. Woohoo!

The only thing missing is proper HDR support - it seems to be totally broken. When enabling HDR on a game, it looks white-ish/green-ish super washed out on Apple TV. Other HDR content (outside of Steam Link) plays perfectly fine and looks great.

Try opting into the Steam beta client on the PC? We don't have true HDR support, but the colors should look much better.

Aha! That worked. Thanks!

I see a changelog item for remote play & HDR in the Sept. 15 Beta notes: https://steamcommunity.com/gid/103582791433918461/announcements/detail/5797877363289042044?snr=2_groups_view_

Anyways, colors look good now - not HDR, but like normal SDR (maybe a tad darker). Previously I was disabling HDR at the OS level and/or using different EDIDs (experimented with both).

Do you know if true HDR support will be coming to Steam Link / Remote Play soon?

Great! HDR support is on our wishlist, but we don't have an ETA on it yet.
