[tvOS 26.6] Unable to select the “始める” button on Apple TV

Hi,

I’m having an issue with the Steam Link app on Apple TV.

On the initial screen, I’m unable to select or activate the button labeled “始める” in the Japanese UI (possibly “Get Started” in English).

The button does not seem to receive focus when using the Apple TV remote, so I cannot proceed past this screen.

Environment:

* Apple TV 4K (64GB)
* tvOS 26.6
* Steam Link app language: Japanese

For comparison, I tested the same initial screen on an iPhone 17 Pro running iOS 26.6, also in Japanese, and the “始める” button works correctly when tapped.

The issue therefore seems specific to the tvOS version, possibly related to focus/navigation handling.

Since the “始める” button cannot be selected at all, I’m unable to proceed with the initial setup or use Steam Link on my Apple TV.

I'm not able to reproduce this here. I deleted the Steam Link app, switched the Apple TV language to Japanese, I tried it both with the Bluetooth notification showing and without, and I was able to click that button with the remote both ways.

Can you connect a Bluetooth mouse or game controller temporarily to get past the initial screen?

I tried reinstalling the Steam Link app.

Right after launching it for the first time after reinstalling, the screen initially seemed to be stuck in the same way and I still couldn't select the “始める” button.

However, after waiting for a little while, it suddenly became responsive and I was able to select the button with the Apple TV remote and continue the setup.

I haven't connected a Bluetooth mouse or game controller at any point, so this was resolved using only the Apple TV remote.

So it seems like this may be an intermittent issue or some delay during the initial startup rather than the button being permanently unselectable.

It's working for me now. Thanks for looking into it!
