We're on the GO again

Well, I was going to add pictures from Christmas today but we took the kids to the movies and then decided we should go and visit Tracy, Erik and my Mom and Dad. We are crazy and we said we wouldn't do it but we missed them all and Kevin hates to stay home. I will update when I get home.

Christmas Eve Pictures

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve started out great. We slept in!!!! Kevin and I had decided that is was hard to get a big breakfast on the table for Christmas morning when we are by ourselves with 6 kids and lots of presents so we decided on a big breakfast for Christmas Eve. We got up and made crapes. They were soooo good. Then we let the kids decorate Christmas ornaments. Since most of our family members called to tell us about blizzards they we having, we thought we would share  some of the great outside pictures we took on Christmas Eve. The kids all played outside in 60 degree weather.  They had a great time and weren't even cold.  Then we had dinner with some of our good friends and read and acted out the nativity.  The older girls were in charge and it turned out as good as can be expected when you have a ton of little children under 7 years old. They had a great time and we did as well.

When everyone had gone home, we opened our Christmas Eve PJ's and our traditional Christmas Eve movie. It was Kong fu Panda.  The Kids all stayed up and watched it.  We had a great Christmas EVE.

Twas the night before Christmas Eve

This year I made PJ's for the kids for Christmas Eve. I was on the ball and started early. After I was almost finished my Mom called and said she was making PJ's for the kids as well. I was really glad because some of the children were wearing capris (old PJ's that were too short) to bed every night. Anyway, we decided that it would be fun to wear new PJ's for the night before Christmas eve as well as Christmas Eve. So we opened Grandma's PJ's on that night. The kids were so excited we had to take pictures so grandma could see how cute they all looked. Thanks Grandma!!!

Today I tried to get a good picture of the kids before church. Jhett was really happy about it. This is about the best one. It's a little hard to get 6 kids to look good at the same time. They sure are cute though.

School is out and we decided to celebrate by ordering pizza and eating on the family room floor while watching the BYU game of coarse. The kids loved the pizza but not the game so much. Kevin and I didn't end up loving the game too much either. For anyone who doesn't already know, they lost and didn't play very well. We did have hope till the last few minutes though.

SNOW SNOW SNOW

It has been snowing all day!!! Of coarse most of you won't think that the little bit of snow that you can see in the pictures is very impressive but to us in New Mexico it is exciting. The kids were excited to go out and play in it. Konner and Jaxon wanted to build a snowman but as you can see, there isn't enough snow. It does make it feel like Christmas though!! We didn't even have to leave NM for a white Christmas.

About to go CRAZY

Well, As you can see I have not been to faithful at updating my blogs. Things have been crazy around here. Trying to get ready for Christmas, basketball games and practices, children with the stomach flu (by the way, I think the stomach flu is about the worst thing children can get!!!!!), a husband who is very busy at work and a 1 year old who wants you to play with him all the time! There is never a dull moment at our house. We are looking forward to Christmas break which starts this Friday and continues on until January 8th. Aubri and I can't wait to sleep in everyday!! Of coarse Jhett's idea of sleeping in is getting up at 7:30, but it's something. By the way, I think I was blessed with two wild and crazy children at the end so I would get around to having them. If Jaxon or Jhett had been born 1,2,3 or 4th I think I would have stopped. I figured Jhett would be mellow after Jaxon. Don't get me wrong, they are the funnest of all the children but they are CRAZY. Jhett climbs up on our dining room table regularly and walks across to the opposite end and tries to slide off. I have caught him a few times and prevented him from splitting his head open on the tile floor. Jaxon is past the CRAZY climb and get into everything stage and is now loved by everyone and I do mean everyone. Everyone at church and school tells me how much they love Jaxon and what a fun and friendly kid he is. He can make anyone feel really sorry for him and can brighten even your worst day! I hoping Jhett turns out the same if he doesn't kill himself first! Merry Christmas!!!

Thanksgiving

What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had!!! The Hunt's came down from Kansas to spend Thanksgiving with us. They came Weds. night and left today after church. We had a delicious dinner, played lots of games and even went to the Zoo. It was 70 the day they came but ended up raining and cloudy for the next two days. The kids still played outside on the trampoline. On Friday morning, we went shopping, Kevin and Bart left the house before 5 am and went to Walmart. Then they came back and picked Karen and myself up to head to Abq. Aubri, Shelby and Kielee watched all the children till noon when we returned. They did an excellent job and we had a great time. We are thankful for all the blessings we enjoy and all the opportunities we are given everyday.

November 9-16 pictures

It's update time!!

Well, as you can see I am not great at updating. Jhett was sick today so I stayed home from church and finally had a minute to download pictures and think about updating my blog. It's been a busy few weeks.
Aubri has been in Texas since Thursday and is coming home today. Her team didn't do really great but it is only their second year competing. She did seem to have a lot of fun. She called us several times and was always in a hurry. We are excited to talk to her today when she gets home.
Kevin had another exciting birthday! The countdown is now on for the big 40. Konner keeps saying that next year he will call him the "old man". I don't think he looks any older!!
Kielee played in her first basketball game for the season. She did really good, making 2 baskets and blocking lots of girls. She is a really aggressive player. So are a lot of her teammates, which makes the games really fun to watch.
Jhett has been acting better but now has a cold, he loves playing in the toilet and climbing on everything. When the washer is on, he is always running in the laundry room to watch it, if I could just teach him how to sort and wash I would have a lot less work to do!!!
Konner, Shelby and Jaxon are all doing well. They are busy with school and playing.
Everyone is looking forward to Thanksgiving break and a visit from Aunt Karen and her family.

Busy

One of these days I am going to have time to really get this blog going. For now this will have to do. Aubri's Robotics group at school won at the state level last weekend and 10 of the 200+ kids get to go to Dallas TX next weekend for the next level of competition. Aubri was chosen to go and will be flying to Dallas with her team sometime on Thursday. We are going to a meeting tonight to find out all the information. It sounds really exciting and we are very proud of Aubri for working so hard with her team. Shelby and Kielee were both chosen for the science fair at school and that is tonight as well. Kielee also started basketball and has practice this evening. Last Saturday I had a craft fair and this Saturday I am in charge of the Relief Society Craft day. Sometime tomorrow I will be cutting out all the blocks for our crafts.
The boys are all doing well and Jhett is grouchy as ever, he his getting four molars that don't want to come in. He runs all over the house and loves to play outside. As you can see we do not lack for things to do at our house. Fell free to email or call us, I am better at talking then calling!!!!
