Jake Is Back!

This is our lonely garage space where Jake's car has been living for a couple years.  Now to rearrange and clean up the rest of our garage!!:

We put about 2000 miles on Jake's car while he was gone on his mission.  This was the mileage when we parked it at the airport to greet him when he got home:

We stopped at In&Out for some dinner with the family and I thought I parked next to Karla until I saw this sticker.  NOPE!!! Not Karla!! HAHAHA:

Karla gave Debbie and me gifts - sleep sacks!!!!  Don't we look amazing!! lol  I wish I didn't have to battle dog hair, or I would wear this thing all day!  Its funny that she had her sister in law make me one because I sent her a text that I wanted to talk to Casey about how to go about getting his sister to make one for me.  Now I have one!!:

Nope, can't eat the last one (each pocket had 3 thin cookies).  Not sure why the person left ONE freaking cookie!  Drives me crazy:

A for April

When I break things, I break them in style.  I have enough style that I broke an A into this glass.  HAHA Look out Zorro!!:

Winnie gets really intense when she wants to play.  She was so excited to pay this night that she was leaping over the arm of the couch like a deer:

Doug's school book and flash cards ready to go for a new semester.  They were instructed to make flash cards of 1+1 and 1x1 up to 15s.  Thankfully there are math websites that will create them, so all I did was cut them out.  I don't think Doug ever used them, but at least his assignment was done:

I was on a hunt for a measuring tape bracelet that I saw a woman wearing.  I found a bunch of neat ideas about how to repurpose measuring tapes, etc into earrings, bracelets, necklaces, etc.  Here are a few of the bracelets:

I bought some flameless candles.  These are nice when I want a glow in the room without turning lights on:

Another quick project.  This is a 5 minute travel size Kleenex holder for my mom.  It really didn't take very long:

Granite Colors

Choosing a color to replace all the counters in a kitchen can be overwhelming!  Luckily Doug and I have similar taste, so the process was a little easier.  We both don't like swirly colors or big blobs of color.  Here are some of the colors we liked:

We thought we were choosing the block on the counter, but you can see it's a different pattern than the granite under it.  It's a good thing I went back to double check names and samples!!!:

I took a bunch of samples to leave on our counter at home to see if I would get sick of either one of them:

I made Blueberry Lemon bread with a lemon glaze:

I bought this purse from a friend, it's super cute!  It's small, but has a decent amount of room which is great too!:

Winnie has a skin issue (her stomach is oily and smells like dirty feet) so I bought Iodine to clean her skin and help get rid of any infection.  She didn't mind it at all!  The funny part was I got carded at CVS for buying this product!  Apparently people make drugs with it.  Crazy!:

We can finally see our ninja dogs on the side of our house!  I ordered a solar powered motion light and Doug installed it on the fence:

New Year Fun

I don't care to go see the new Star Wars movie and people were avoiding any and all kind of information regarding the movie so they wouldn't spoil the fun.  Someone posted this Star Wars spoiler and I think it's really funny!:

We still had too many lemons even after giving some away, so I started dehydrating them:

Our first real freeze of the winter - it was time to bundle the trees for the night:

I spider crawled across our counter, so I sprayed it and set the can on it.  Then I texted this picture to Doug.  He cleaned up the nasty spider when he got home:

We got new phones and returned our current phones for credit. It was stressful hitting the button to wipe the phones back to factory settings:

We counted our New Year's parties and we think this was #5!!  We ate a yummy dinner, laughed a lot and the boys fell asleep.  Breanna and I ate candy and continued having fun by ourselves:

Our New Year's fun generally includes playing Super Mario Bros.  They got this for us for Christmas; cute little Mario back in the day!:
