Thanksgiving Morning

I am thankful for the FUN I have with my wonderful husband and family. Thanksgiving morning Nick went into the bathroom to shave before we went to Thanksgiving dinner..well...I think the pictures are self explanatory :)

$1.94 Hooray!

Gas is back down to $1.94 in Provo, Utah! I didn't think it was EVER going to go back under $2.00/gallon!

And boy howdy do I feel better about paying $25.00 ever 2 weeks VS $55.00!!

Happy 16th Matthew!!

Matthew turned 16!

The little boy in the Snoopy shirt has turned into a fine young man!

This past Sunday Matthew, (my youngest cousin on the Cherry side of the family) turned 16! He also was ordained as a priest! It was such a neat experience! Before we know it, he will be on his mission! Holy Cow!

Happy 16th Birthday Mattie!

Its a tradition with the Cherry/Rife family to get together on everyones birthday and have a dinner and family party. The whole family comes over, the birthday boy/girl gets to choose what is made for dinner, we open presents, eat cake and ice cream and visit. It has been a really fun tradition that I hope to continue with our future family/children.

Moments of Reality

Although I typically blog about the weeks activities, for the first time I am going to post about something I have been THINKING about the past few days. So, I am sorry for lack of Pictures. :D

I think we all have moments when reality hits and we stop and evaluate our life, and think about how lucky we are to have specific people blessing our lives.

I want to post about someone very special to me. Although he is mentioned in almost EVERY post I want the world to know how much Nick means to me. I know this post will not even get close to doing justice in expressing my feelings for him but I thought I would give it a shot. As I look back on the past 2 years that I have know this sweet boy I cant help but still get butterflies. He has changed my life for good in so many ways, and now, I cant imagine my life without him. He shows me he loves me through all the little things he does. Making the bed, doing the dishes, or letting me "win" even when he knows I'm not right. :D I am so greatful that he is so dedicated in everything he does. Work, school and even fixing a neighbors computer. Last sunday we attended his cousin's baby blessing. I watched as he walked up with his dad, grandpa and uncles to join in on the blessing of his baby cousin. As he was up there I thought about how blessed I was to have a husband who was worthy to serve a mission and is worthy to hold the priesthood. He always has confidence in me and supports me in EVERY dream I could possibly have. I know he will always be there for me no matter what. Even through the rocky roads ahead (everyone has them). I know he will be there for me every step of the way, holding my hand through it all. Pretty much...

I just love him to pieces! :D

I am so lucky to be sealed for time and all eternity to such an amazing guy! I cant wait to see what life has in store for us.

Halloween Happenings

This Halloween was a lot of fun! Nick and I were just crazy lookin' basketball players. :D We just threw things together but they ended up being fun costumes. :) As you can see my wig needed a little reconstructive work :)

We looked pretty dorky but it was a lot of fun. :D

2 days before Halloween we carved our pumpkin!
Nick had to leave to work at 9pm. He helped me clean it out. (That pumpkin was quite possibly the MOST slimy pumpkin I have ever cleaned out!) After the pumpkin was cleaned out I carved it.

Halloween day was a crazy day at work. My Boss, Wendy, Emily and I were in charge of the NTS (Novell Technical Services) Halloween Party!
We had a salsa competition, costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, treats, and more.

We also raffled off 2 wii gaming systems, 3 itouch ipods and a ipod nano.
I was not lucky enough to get my name drawn for any of those prizes
BUT.....

My salsa was a hit!

I didnt even get to try it they ate it so fast!
My salsa took 1st place and I won $50! It was worth the 20 min it took to make it ;)


We had a fun Halloween this year, and hope you all did too!
