Will you be my Valentine?

Valentines day was a blast this year.  To celebrate we did a few fun things. 

1- Kinley and I painted our toenails :)

 We didnt paint Mila's toes but we took a picture of them since they are so cute! :)

2- We made Valentines cookies.....and ate them. :)

3.  We made Valentines, and got some back!

I also gave him 12 pre-paid dates! So, that should be fun for us both!

Nick Came home between work and school to surprise the girls and I with flowers! Kinley saw them, smelled it and said "mmmm, delicious!" haha.

 Nick got me potted Gerber Daisies (My favorite) along with a rose and some really pretty earrings.  He is WAY too good to me!

I'm so lucky to have people in my life that love me no matter what, and one fantastic man that is willing to be my valentine every year for the rest of my life!

Early To Bed Early to Rise...

The only problem is that we are not getting to bed early! :)  Kinley's internal clock has been telling her 4 am...you read that right... FOUR AM is time to get up a few time in the last few weeks!  

 One morning after fighting her to go back to sleep about an hour, I just decided to get up.   I got her dressed and turned on a movie. (Dont judge me! It was EARLY)  at 6 am I was doing the dishes and came into the living room to check on her.  I found this....

 Looks like it was a bit too early for her too.  :)  I carried her into her room and put her in bed. Then I climbed back into bed myself and got to sleep in til 8:30!  Silly Girl!

Bubbles in the Bath

Kinley got all sorts of fun stuff for her birthday but one of her favorite things was given to her by Grandma and Grandpa Austin.  Its a bubble machine that goes in the BATH!  Its so cute!

 I am having a hard time keeping her out of the bathtub now....even when she is fully clothed! :)

Family Birthday party

After the luncheon for Mila's blessing we had a little family birthday party for Kinley.  The theme was The Very Hungry Caterpillar because she LOVES that book!  She can "read" it to us!  Its the cutest thing ever! She calls it "apiller" :)

 I was so excited when I found this Strawberry balloon!  It went SO perfectly!

I like having something that everyone can sign/write a little birthday note in/on to give to her.  It just makes it a little more memorable.

Mila was all tuckered out after her big day and decided to sleep through cake and ice cream, she sure did look cute in her little cupcake outfit her great aunt Maralee gave her though!

Definitely Sisters

This isn't the best quality picture because it was taken on a phone. However, there have been quite a few people that have been amazed at the similarities between  Kinley and Mila in their looks.  I have to say  I am pretty amazed too.  As one person said, "oh my gosh, its Pete, and Repete!" :)

A Name & A Blessing

February 5th,  2012 Mila was Blessed.  Nick did a beautiful job.  Mila he explained in the blessing is the root word  in Russian for Charity. He blessed her to have it, to be able to make the right decisions, and have the power of discernment.  Nicole he explained is after her mother......oh me. :)  Nicole is my middle name.  She was blessed to be able to learn from me and take my good qualities. :D Austin She has people on both sides of her family to look up to and learn from. She was also blessed to have a strong testimony of the Gospel, and to make the decisions necessary to return to her father in heaven so that we can be an eternal family.  

She has such a sweet personality that is coming out more everyday. :)

Happy Birthday Kinley!!

I cannot believe she is 2 already.  I really do have a bitter sweet feeling towards birthdays now!  I love that she is growing and developing but it does make me a little sad that its happening so fast.  I wish I could rewind, play, fast forward, pause etc.  whenever I wanted.  It would be awesome right?! ;) 

Anyway, we are having a birthday party for her Sunday so all the family can get together etc (so there will be more pictures)  but I wanted her to have some fun on her actual birthday too.

2 years ago she looked like this, sleeping in her little bed at the hospital. 

 and exactly 2 years later here she is...

We put Balloons all down the hall so that when she came out of her room she would know something special was going on today.  At the end of the hall after she got through all the balloons there were a few presents for her. :) 

At 4am she woke up wanting to come into our bed.  As I went into the kitchen for a moment I left our bedroom door open a little and I heard "WOW, balloons!" We were able to get her mind off it and get her to go back to sleep.  But at 7am she was UP and she remembered what was in the hall.  There was no keeping her from going to explore!

  We then had Purple and Teal Pancakes for breakfast :) (Tangled colors)

Then we played with her new toys that she got. 

 That afternoon we all headed out to McDonalds for a happy meal with FRIES! Kinley's favorite food in the world! Whoohoo! and then we went to Provo Beach to let her play in the toddler town area! Its awesome, a really CLEAN area with a bunch of things for toddlers to climb on, jump off of, slide down etc. for $1!

 Mila Slept most of the day so we were able to spend a lot of one on one time with Kinley.  But she did decide to wake up for a few minutes at lunch :)  What a cutie.

 She got sleepy and decided to take a little break, but with a little coaxing from Dad it didnt take long to jump right up and start playing again.

 Last but not least in our fun filled day we went to Brick Oven with a few of our immediate family members. It was delicious as always :)   Too delicious to look at the camera. ;)

 They sang Happy Birthday to Kinley.  She started clapping....then she realized they were singing for her and she got really embarrassed and burried her head to hide. :)  It was cute.

Happy Birthday Little Lady!  I hope you had a good Birthday! We sure are glad you are part of our lives!
