36 Week Doctor Appointment

I had my doctor's apt this morning. She checked me, and I was surprised to hear that I am 60% effaced and 1 cm. With Brogan, I was about this or less when they induced me. Obviously things go alot quicker with the second one. They say for first babies you push for an hour to two hours, but with brogan I pushed for 18 minutes. So I'm hoping Lily will just Pop out lol.

I decided that if I didn't deliver by the 23rd of January, that she can goa ahead and strip my membranes to push labor along. My mom is coming out the 20th, so I really want her to be here for it, and it would be nice to give my in laws a nice heads up so they will know about when they will be coming out here, in advance. am i making sense right now? I feel as if i'm talking chinese. I am so tired, with no energy and my brain is mush.

We are pretty much ready for her. Besides the things I will be getting at my shower on saturday (my friends are the best), we bought a travel system stroller/carseat, bedding, a swing, decorations for her room, etc. after the shower I will be getting the rest of the stuff. We are borrowing a bassinet, and getting the crib this weekend.

Brogan is getting ready for a toddler bed. It is a bold move, but I'm pretty sure that it is time. we have tried everything to keep him in his crib, and he could climb out so easily. Its already lowered to the ground, the matteress is all the way to the floor.. and against a wall so hes caged in. but he is a little monkey! I think if he has a big boy bed he would do better, plus it is a lot safer at this point!

well, im signing off. Brogan is on his way down for the upteenth time tonight, I'm sure.

No sprain, no gain

I'm huge pregnant, I have a 20 month old and a house to take care of; I have a church calling that keeps me pretty busy and volunteer work to do at hospice. So what happens? I sprain my ankle. Yesterday, to be exact. So I have been gimping around and trying (unsuccessfully) to act like I'm not in horrible pain. I was at an enrichment activity last night (thats church stuff, non- mo's) , trying to be helpful and runnind around, but Boy did I feel it when I got home. And to top it off, Brogan woke up so much last night I would be suprised if I got a couple of hours sleep MAX collectively. By the time I got up, and worked my way over to his room, trying not to put pressure on my ankle or my back (whole other rant!), he was mad, and by the time I calmed him down and layed in my bed he would be up again. So I am very tired today, needless to say. He also has been refusing to nap today, and if you don't believe that, I wish you were here to listen to the pitterpatter of his little feet running around his room.

Lily is also active at night.

uhoh.

31 (or 32) weeks!

I'm not to sure about my due date. I don't remember the exact day of my last period, but I'm pretty certain it was around april 20th. ..Which should put me at Jan 25. But at my first trimester ultrasound they put me at the 30th. I know it may seem like those five days don't really make a difference, but they are bugging me! I measured 32" at my OB apt yesterday, and im pretty sure im 32 weeks! Well I know that only like 5 percent of babies are born on their duedates, but I still care lol. So when they are like, "you'll be 33 weeks at your next apt!" In my head im like " uhhhh 34 actually."

Besides that, my blood pressure was a little high. But I think it was because I got into an argument with a jackass on Cherry Lane. Stupid Idaho Drivers..

Brogan came with me. It was pretty funny. He would open the door and run out and do his evil chuckle. The staff just loves him! And in the room they had a fake boob, which kind of felt like a stress ball but in the shape of a b cup. It was to show woman what lumps felt like ( wow, those lumps were well lumpy). Brogan was sitting there just drinking his milk and stroking the boob. It was kind of ackward! But it passed the time and he was happy!

Lily is always very active, but this morning she has been going nuts! my neighbor and friend Holly (who is throwing me a shower..aw!)bought me over some home made cinnamon rolls. Yum! and im not talking like pilsbury here either...im talking like homeade from scratch!

SO

I went to the doctor yesterday, i thought i had a Urinary Tract Infection. Turns out, Lily is getting in postition and giving me lots of pressure. It gets really bad,worse than it was with Brogan -- so i thought it had to be a UTI. I was so wrong! I had an exam and she said my cervix is closed and hard, which. at 30 weeks, is always good to hear. I should have known it wasn't a UTI, i felt this same pain 20 months ago with Brogermeister! So I guess I'll be breaking out the pregnancy belt..yahoo! Unattractive, but holds my big girl up.

I can't believe we are just a few days out of thanksgiving, its crazy how fast these months are going. With Brog it dragged on and on...But I think the holidays, stuff with church, and volunteering has definitly moved things along..oh, and caring for a crazy toddler probably doesn't hurt, either!

I'm so excited for Lily to come. I've been talking to friends who just gave birth, and it gets me psyched. I feel like this time I will be more in control because i know what to expect. My friends have also had really good experiences, but with Brogan, I didn't becuase of the hospital staff and my quack doctor. This time, I'm not afraid to speak up for myself, and I'm not going to be naive and say, "whatever you think is best." Plus, I will be able to labor in the Jacuzzi! :-)

Hey Everybody!

So I realize that its all the craze now adays to have a place where family and friends could go and see how you are doing. I have a myspace too, but i realize alot of people aren't on there. So I thought I would jump on the blog spot band wagon!

I'm 28 weeks along right now, with our second baby. We are naming her lily and she is due (as most of you know) January 30th. I will post updates with how my pregnancy is going, along with other fun stuff.

Not to be out done, Brogan will also be having his fair share of space on here as well. I will post cute stuff he does and pictures. His little 19 month old ways are pretty hilarious!

As for Brandon, he will probably roll his eyes when he sees this! haha.
