The first weekend in April, we were lucky enough that Brian got to work in Salt Lake! Thursday night Brayden and I joined him up at the hotel and we took Brayden swimming. These were the only two pictures I was able to snap before Brayden lost it and decided he didn't want to swim in the COLD hotel pool! I didn't blame him and Brian got out pretty soon after that!
Friday, while Brian worked, Brayden and I enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, EARLY naps, and then a trip to the Hogle Zoo with Jamie Blackwell and her three cute boys! (Jamie's husband, Eric, works with Brian...she's the same one I enjoyed New York with!)
This would be Brayden making his elephant noise when he saw the elephants!
Brayden wanted to climb on everything, that's what you get for going with boys that are a little older and can teach you new tricks!
Eventually a lollipop got him to sit in the stroller again!

They have a cute baby giraffe that was fun to see!

After the zoo, I drove Brayden back down to Utah County and he had a sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa Leavitt's house! When I went back down to their house to watch the Saturday morning session of General Conference, they were so excited to show me these pictures...
I guess my son has no fear!
He's now pretty much enamored with Logan's snake! Any chance he gets, he's running up the stairs to Logan's room!
Oh, and my sports obsessed son's favorite thing to read at Grandma and Grandpa's house...Sports Illustrated! Guess we've trained him well!?!
This wonderful sushi was what Brian and I enjoyed Friday night while Brayden was at Grandmas! We stopped at Nordstrom Rack for a little shopping and then headed to Kyoto for some WONDERFUL Japanese food! Brian actually said it was the best Japanese food he'd had since his mission! So now it's our new favorite!! We can't wait to go again!
And Saturday between sessions was spent like this...watching Logan play baseball in the cold wind!
Brian was done working in time for Priesthood Session and Brayden tagged along on the girls trip to Los Hermanos for some yummy dinner! Sunday we enjoyed watching conference at home and the fact that Brayden's nap was timed perfectly with the afternoon session! It was such a fun weekend!!
We decided we'd try and cheer up by making our own orange juice for breakfast once we saw...

Grandma and Grandpa Petersen came over to play and go out to lunch. Grandpa also "attempted" to read Brayden's current favorite book to him, but apparently Grandpa didn't read it the way Brayden liked because they didn't make it very far!
After his nap, this was Brayden's reaction when I told him that Uncle Bruce, Aunt Beth, and Aunt Stephanie were coming over for dinner and to play! We went outside after dinner and blew bubbles, flew Brayden's kite, and played with some fun things Steph brought down from Rexburg.
Aunt Steph made a great dollar store find when she picked up this train bank for Brayden to paint!

After the cleanup, Brayden got situated in the love sac with his new dog hat (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!), his dog, and Brian's old blanket to watch 101 Dalmatians while the rest of us played games. What a fun day!!

After the Bean Museum we headed to lunch (Noodles & Co...YUM!) and then back to BYU for another favorite pastime of Brayden's...feeding the ducks!

Grandpa enjoyed feeding the ducks ALMOST more than Brayden did! Brayden refuses to give the ducks bread unless they are in the water so Grandpa took care of the ones Brayden had shunned that surrounded us! Grandpa's favorite part was getting the ducks to jump up and get the bread out of his hand! Check out that duck!

I thought these last two were so cute! Brayden and Grandma made a few laps around the duck pond to check everything out!
Brayden loved his day with Grandma and Grandpa and was so worn out that he took a 3 hour nap later that afternoon! Yippee!! Let's do that again soon!

The internet connection is being very slow, and so I am losing patience. I will post more pictures later. My company sent me to Indianapolis this week for work, and so I was able to drive out to the duplex and take a look at the house. I took some additional pictures, but it all looks pretty much the same. I was able to talk to one of the neighbors, and learned that the empty lot next to the house is actually mine as well! What an added bonus...
