I had to work yesterday for Tammie, everything went fine, but I really need a change.  I want to feel like I’m doing more, I want to know what I’m doing instead of wonder if Tammie has already done it.  I hate having to ask her everything, I feel like I’m treating her like a child when I’ve asked her if she’s done something, when really I’m just trying to figure out what I’m supposed to be doing!  It’s a very frustrating position.  I would have LOVED to have cleaned out the fridge at the high school Thursday, and only leave that what we needed for Friday.  She doesn’t like to throw anything away!  I feel like I have to do it all behind her back.
Well, we have a 9 day break for spring!  I’m looking forward to this little vacation from work.  I have intentions of accomplishing a lot, but we’ll have to see what actually gets done.  I really don’t know what to do about my shoulder.  It hasn’t been KILLING me, it hasn’t really been hurting much at all, but every once in a while it will just start stabbing and burning.  It’s not terrible, but it’s scary for me because I don’t want it to hurt like it did before.  The pain is still there, even if it’s just a little, and that means it might possibly get worse.

Thursday, March 5, 2015

I didn’t think it had been that long since I had written, one whole week.  I will have to say that Wednesday and Thursday I was having a really crappy attitude!  I felt like CRAP!  I wasn’t sick at all, I just felt like crap!  Sometimes I’ll get like that, but usually I can look forward to going to sleep and having tomorrow be a new day, but not that time!  Friday I had a couple apts in St. George, and I wasn’t in any hurry to get back.  My attitude was better that day, but I still wasn’t in any hurry to get back.  To be honest with ya I really wanted to blow a bunch of money on some new clothes, but I was too cheap to buy anything that I actually liked.  I just have a hard time spending over $30 on a shirt.  I went to my eye doctor, I love going to the eye doctor.  He said to me, (and this isn’t exactly what he said, but close enough) “I hope you believe in miracles, because I think it’s a miracle that you can even see!”  They got this new machine that takes a really good picture of your eye, and he showed me the pictures, and it is crazy to see the difference between my left and right eye.  I asked him to email me the pics, so I will post them as soon as I get them.
After my apt I went over to Lucinda’s salon and had her trim my hair.  I talked a little about the cruise, and she told me that mom might have found a buyer for the Pinevalley cabin!  On my way home Lucinda called me and told me what her client had just told her.  Her client is going on a cruise in the next couple weeks.  Royal Caribbean has a “Freedom” series of ships.  We are going on the “Freedom of the seas” and her client is going on the “Independence of the seas” They are pretty similar, just go to different locations.  Anyways her client and family are going and they are renting the “Presidential Suite” sleeps up to 14 people!  I looked it up online when I got home.  It’s around $14,000 (so $1000 a person if you have 14, regular basic room is roughly $875 a person), it has 4 separate bedrooms, and 4 bathrooms, a rather large living room and kitchen area, and a HUGE balcony with your own hot tub!  I think it is well worth it!  Right now we have 10 people going, and I don’t necessarily want more people going, but it would make it cheaper.  Right now its going to be $1400 a person, we will just have to see if the cabin gets sold what will happen.

Work was good yesterday.  The boys all seem to have sore throats so I will probably try and get Ryan a dr. apt today and see if I can get him checked out, since he’s had his the longest.  Well, since last time we sat in the dr. office for Jacks meds check for over an hour, this time I thought I should bring something for us to do.  Jack wanted to learn how to crochet, so on my way into town we stopped at Benfranklins (I guess it’s ACE now) and got some yarn and crochet hooks.  We sat in the dr. office and I started to teach him, and if you can believe it, our apt was at 3:20 and we were out of there by 3:45!  Woh!  Jack is learning how to crochet, he’s getting the hang of it, I told him it’s just going to take some practice until he feels more comfortable in the way he holds everything.  My parents got home from their long trip to Florida last night, I haven’t seen them yet though.

Snow is falling on the ground, in the tree tops all around!!  I LOVE this moisture that we are receiving, I don’t love to drive in it, but I love it!  It took me 30 min to take my kids to school yesterday morning because I couldn’t see where I was going because it was all WHITE!  As much as I really don’t like to drive in the snow, I’m trying to appreciate the fact that we have the moisture we have been praying for.  I hope others are also grateful, because I feel like I hear a lot of complaints about the snow, WE NEED IT!  At work I was freezing, but I always am especially when it’s cold outside.  My neck gets really cold, so I decided to go get myself some yarn and crochet me a scarf!  I’m almost done with it!  It’s really soft, and that’s all that matters.  Now that I’m at the end of it, it’s looking really good, but more than half of it is not so great.  The yarn I bought is really funky and it’s hard to see where the stitches are and it’s hard to undo the stitches, and ya know, it’s going to be around my neck and who cares what it looks like as long as it keeps me warm!  I went and talked to Sandy Whitewind yesterday, love that lady!  I asked her about my shoulder and she came up with the conclusion that my body is trying to tell me that I need to start asking for others to help me.  For me it’s just easier to do things myself than to ask for help, plus it’s just really hard to ask for help.  I had a talk with my body and I had to promise I would ‘try’ and start asking for help, hopefully this will help the pain to go away.  She also gave me some Basil to put on my shoulder, that’s something I need anyways.  Today right after work Jack and I are going to St. George for one of his meds checks.  It’s not supposed to snow again until Saturday, so the roads should be clear.  Also I had to make me some apts for Friday; I just couldn’t squeeze everything into one trip unfortunately.  I better go finish my scarf.

I need to CALM DOWN!  I need to stop being so NEGITIVE!  I need more LOVE in my HEART!  I need to be GREATFUL!  I hate when I wake up in the morning, especially on Sunday, and I’m already in a pissy mood.  Whether it’s because the kids start fighting first thing in the morning or what.  I need to keep my cool.  Something happened yesterday morning to get my day off to a terrible start.  I think Ryan and Jack were arguing or something.  Then Brenden woke up because he had to go out for the city and clear snow off the roads.  He mentioned to Ryan that he needed to go shovel snow for the two people in our ward that he’s in charge of.  He of course didn’t want to and argued and complained about it until he finally got up and got ready.  He said he was sick, that may be true, but it’s always convenient for him to be sick when we want him to do something.  He couldn’t get ahold of his snow shoveling partner, so I went and helped.  When we got home he ‘really wasn’t feeling good’, so he couldn’t help me shovel our driveway, but of course he had to go get his dirt bike that he left outside, and he had to figure out why it was leaking gas.  Made me MAD!  I hurried and got in the shower and realized that I had an hour less than I thought to get ready.  Jen Hess, our primary president, called about 10:15 (church starts at 11) and told me that I was going to have to man the primary room because several teachers weren’t going to be there.  Everything turned out just fine in primary, but I just wish all the above things I would have done, because it WAS NOT A GOOD MORNING!  Ryan did end up going to church, even though he was ‘sick’ because he knew Brenden and I would give him crap for not going (this seems to happen a lot on Sundays, that he’s ‘sick’).  Brenden was clearing snow all during church and didn’t show up.  The rest of the Sunday went pretty good, I still have things that I really need to work on though.  I find it really hard for me to even THINK when I’m in the moment!  I just react, and that’s never good.  I will try.  I was mad enough to swear once, so now I have to start over, here’s to NO SWEARING!

Oh dear, my shoulder isn’t as bad as it ever was, but the more I do the more it hurts.  Maybe I need to just not do anything and let it completely heal, but it’s hard to not do anything!  Pain in my butt!
On another note, I’m trying to keep this dang house clean, I know it’s nowhere near my sister-in-law Stacie’s expectations, but it’s pretty clean to me.  The main areas are clean anyways; I’m still working on the other areas.  I guess I need to spend (of the time I have at home anyways) 90% of my time and effort into keeping up on house work, and the other 10% I can spend on working on the shelf I’m going to build.  Think {CLEAN}!  Stacie came over yesterday morning and helped me organize my garage a little bit better.  It looks way nice!  After lunch Brenden and I had to go pick up a patient at the hospital and bring him home.  In the evening we went and helped clean the church building with the Hess family.  I like cleaning it with that big family; we got done within an hour!
By the way it totally snowed last night!  Woot Woot!

Saturday, February 21, 2015

I was so tired yesterday morning, I had to take 4 Mito2max because of the call we went on that night, I didn’t get much sleep.  Oh boy was I energized yesterday!  Work went exceedingly well, I have decided working Friday, it’s hard to get out of there by 1:30.  Maybe I’ll have to try for 1:45 next time, if I remember.  I was very tired when I got home, but I wasn’t tired, if that makes sense.  I had worked hard so I was tired, but I was so energized that I went out and started to take apart my pallets.  I probably could have gotten all 9 of them taken apart within an hour, but my shoulder started hurting me.  I need to not be in such a hurry to get this project done, and take it slow.  Today this house is going to get CLEAN!  I haven’t really done much lately because my shoulder has been hurting, and when it wasn’t working I didn’t want to clean, I wanted to work on a project.  I need to put the projects aside for now and CLEAN!!!  However I don't know what Brenden has in store for today, he sounded like he wanted to go to St. George.  I just better hurry up now and get started since I know there is no way he will be out of bed before 10, that gives me 2 hours.

Friday, February 20, 2015

So…Tammie couldn’t get ahold of me yesterday morning to tell me she needed me to work for her, if she could have waited a couple more minutes I would have seen that I missed her call.  Oh no, instead she had to come over to my house in her pjs and robe and tell me in person.  She is so silly.  So I worked for her yesterday and it was GREAT!  This is absolutely nothing against Tammie, but I told Karen I love when I’m alone mainly because I know what my responsibilities are!  That makes me more responsible.  When Tammie is there I don’t know what she has done and what needs to be done, yah I can ask, but then I feel like I’m treating her like a child, because I would have to go down the list of things that need to be done asking her if she has done them yet.  I liked knowing what needed to be done and I knew if I didn’t do it then it wasn’t going to be done.  I was busier yesterday, since I was in charge of doing everything, there was more that I needed to do, so there wasn’t that luxury of chatting or shooting the bull, no time for that.  I prefer it that way; I don’t necessarily like doing nothing!  Today I get to work for her again.  It’s weird because I used to hate working the extra hours and especially working on Friday.  I still don’t LOVE working on Friday, because it’s my cleaning day, but……I’ve found now that we are living so tight on money that I really like getting in those extra hours.  Not only that but since we are trying to save up for a cruise next summer, I want to get all the hours I can!  That’s why I’m going to work the summer lunch program this year.  I think it’s only from 10-1:30, so I will still have my mornings to weed.
I have to mention one more little thing, the fact that I totally YELLED at the 7th and 8th graders yesterday at lunch.  Tuesday Trina had one of the teachers to get up and get after the kids because they were leaving their garbage all over the lunchroom tables.  Yesterday Trina mentioned that they were still leaving their crap all over, so right then I piped up and started yelling (in my angry voice) telling them to start cleaning up their CRAP!!  I went off on them for quite a while, Trina said the look on their faces was priceless, they were SCARED!  Maybe scared enough to clean up after themselves now.

Thursday, February 19, 2015

This is something different for me, but I’ve actually been ‘wanting’ to work extra hours.  Last week I had to go into work early for a couple days because Erin’s baby was sick, and yesterday I had to go into work early because Tammie has some kind of eye infection.  I’m liking these extra hours I’m getting in.  We approved our timecards the other day and I think I got like 66 hours, that’s going to be nearly $660, depends on how much they take out for taxes.  That’s a pretty good check!  Next year I’m hoping to get more hours, so next year should be lots better!  My shoulder is still bothering me, I’m still hoping by the end of the week (actually by tomorrow) that I will be feeling MUCH better!  Only time will tell.  I’m doing good sticking to my calories on myfitnesspal.  I was talking to Stacie yesterday, and for me it is all in my mind!  If I REALLY set my mind to something and really WANT to do something about the way I feel about my body, then I will do something about it, but I have to really WANT to do it, or it doesn’t happen.  Monday the whole family got into the hot tub before it got dark outside.  Oh dear, I did not like what I saw, myself in a bathing suit.  I know I’m not over weight, but everyone has something they don’t like about themselves.  I’m done complaining, I want to do something about it.

Wednesday, February 18, 2015

Well, I got a text from Tammie yesterday morning saying that the high school was having an assembly and that I needed to come in 30 min late.  For some reason even though we were 30 min behind our regular schedule, we still got finished by 2 o’clock.  Today I will be going into work 30 min early.  This long weekend has been nice because I was able to rest my shoulder and it hasn’t’ been bothering me too bad, but yesterday all the pain came back to me.  I went and saw the choir proctor.  I don’t know what he did exactly, but he said within the next couple days my pain should be gone.  He cracked my neck, which freaked me out.  He asked how I felt, and I said, “I’m still alive.”   Scary!
