Starfall -- A fun, game-like website for K-3 for learning basic reading skills.

Epic! -- Free access to tons of online books. (If you don't have access through your child's teacher, email me at jackie.clove@washk12.org and I can add your child to my class roster.)

Scholastic Learn at Home -- Free, fun lessons with projects and reading based around a daily theme -- for Pre-K-5.

Code.org -- Learning to code becomes a game. Not necessarily a reading website, but still worth checking out.

Stretching Sounds Activity

Another helpful activity for young readers is to use a slinky or rubber band (or pretend to do so) to stretch out all the separate sounds in a word, and then put them back together. Here are two resources showing how this is done:
