Scrapbookaholic by Abby Challenge

So sad!!!!!!  This is the last challenge for Scrapbookaholic by Abby for this DT.  I just want to say I'm so grateful for the opportunity to be on this wonderful DT with all of the amazingly talented ladies!!!

The challenge theme is 'anything goes'!!!!!!  As many of you may know I've had problems with my Cricut, so this weekend I had to go to my MIL's house to use her Cricut.  I have had so many people giving me a hand with a million different things (because we all know that when it rains, it pours) so I wanted to make 'Thank you' cards.  Although this is a very simple card, it was exactly what I wanted. :)

The card is 4 1/4 by 4 1/4.  The heart is from Wall Decor and More.  I can't remember where the stamp is from (sorry).  I (of course) used gel pens for the stitching and some twine.  I used some homemade foam 'pop dots' for added dimension to the heart.

Scrapbookaholic By Abby Challenge

I'm so excited for this one!!!! :)  The challenge this week on Scrapbookaholic by Abby is to make a gift box or bag using Hello Kitty.  I loved making this one!! :) 

My little girl has a birthday this week and I wanted to make sure she (we) had some 'Thank You' cards on hand for any gifts. 

The box is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More; I used my Gypsy to stretch it a little bit.  The kitty is actually from the Hello Kitty Font cart.  Since my little girl is our little princess, I thought this would be a cute one for her.  The string is just something I had on hand.  I added a bit of bling to make it sparkle (because Heaven knows my little girl loves BLING)!!!  All of the papers used were from my scrap pile. :)

Another Deep Breath and Good News

I promised to show these pictures.  These are a FEW of the cards that I sent my little sister!  She's serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loves to give cards.  Well, I don't have much to give; but I knew I could help with the cards!  I ended up making around 100 different cards for her.  She should have received them (hehehe - she had no idea they were coming)! :)  It's not the best picture, but you get the idea. :)

I also gave a few similar ones to my Mom, hehehe - she didn't know it was coming either! :)

**The hehehe's can also be read as mwahahahaha (evil scientist laugh); either laugh is appropriate!** :)

After all of that fun stuff I can't tell you how frustrated I am.  I was watching my little girl sing during our Church  Christmas party (so cute).  When I got a text from a friend (thanks again - you know who you are) letting me know I had won some blog candy (YEAH!!!!!!)!  So I got home and got online and find out that I won it from the wonderful and talented HoneyB.  You really have to see her - she is AMAZING (click here for her blog)!!!!!!!  As I start reading through I question why in the world did I not see this a few days before.  I'd been doing better at commenting and reading blogs (I was terrible there for a little - sorry - again working on sisters' cards).  I finally figured out that all of the blogs that I had 'followed' over the weekend were not showing up on my reader list.

So I ended up going back through the hops that I participated in and that I had hopped along for the ride so that I could re-follow them.  Has anyone else had that happen?!

So I have to say to those I hopped with and those others that I came to visit - I'm sorry!!  I really thought I was following, it just didn't work for some reason. Ok, I think I'm done (for now). :)

Another Simple Thank You

This is a very, very simple Thank You card.  Like I said, my card box is empty and needs to be filled up again. 

It's hard to see, but the cream colored background paper actually come embossed.  I get it at a local paper store (LOVE IT).  The phrase is from Gypsy Wanderings, the flower paper is from my scratch box. :)  Thanks so much for stopping by!

Western Thank You

Well, this one is so simple, but I thought I'd post it.  Nothing fancy, but I am in desperate need to re-fill my card box.

I cut the horseshoes in black and inked them with some silver ink to make them shine a little.  I don't know where the paper came from.  It was a random single sheet that I had (which was actually the base reason for this card), I liked the western feel to it.  I think I need to use it with a boot - hmmmmmmmm **insert lightbulb above my head** - now I'm thinking. :)  Thanks so much for stopping by!!!!! :)

Thanks a Ton - Dino Card

Well my dear parents and siblings sent my little boy a birthday present.  I try to make sure that my children know that it is common curtesy to send a thank you card or note any time they receive anything like a gift or just because.  I asked my little boy what type of card he wanted to send his Grandparents, he said he wanted a dinosaur.  With that in mind I came up with this card.

I used Accent Essentials for the frame and Paper Doll Dress Up for the dino.  I used the 'Hide Contour' feature for the dino and welded it to the frame and then cut a seperate dino and ran that through the cuddlebug.  The font was Cuttin' Up and of course I welded the letters together too.  Thanks for looking!!!!

First - I'm Sorry!!!!! Second - CARD!!! :)

First I have to apologize!  It's been a while since I've posted a card or any other project.  Between family visiting, getting my oldest ready for school, and scouting for deer (we love to hunt) I haven't been able to make many cards.  So - I'm sorry it's been so long!!!!

Second - CARD!!!  I had a meeting to go to and my DH was at work so I asked one of the ladies in my area if she would watch my little ones for a bit.  My kids love her and her family and she was graceful enough to watch them (she even let them go for a ride with her DH on a combine).  So, I gave her a loaf of banana bread and this card.  She loved it and her boys at all of the banana bread - so that was a big hit.  Thanks again Terri!!!!!!!!

I used Preserves for the watermelon and Plantin Schoolbook for the letters.  Of course - I used my Gypsy to weld the letters together.  Just don't look at the 'm', my little spatula accidentally scraped a little of the 'm' away from the rest of the paper.  Ok - it was me!!  I was in a rush and scraped a little bit of it. :)

NSD MPS Challenge 5

This challenge was to create something for Teacher Appreciation Week or for someone we appreciate. I created this card for one of the ladies in my area. She has really reached out to me, and I really appreciate her. I hope she likes it!
