It’s been six years since I posted!!! How did that happen??? I guess we’ve been busy watching our babies grow. Speaking of babies, our “first born in the wilderness “, as Neal loves to call her just got selected to represent the state of North Carolina this summer at The College of Future Physicians in Cambridge Massachusetts!!! She is so impressive and she makes Neal and I look like we know what we’re doing with this parenting thing😂😂 We couldn’t be more proud of her. She is such a joy and blessing in our lives. Way to go Emmy Lou!

It's That Time of Year Again

It's time for the NC State Fair.  We LOVE the state fair.  We went with some

of our favorite people in the whole world and had a blast.  Parker keeps asking

if we can go again lasterday.  I just love it when she says "lasterday".  So here

Scotty McCreery Concert

 

 

 

Just in case anyone is wondering we are HUGE Scotty fans.  It may have something to do with

his good ole boy charm or the fact that he's from my kids' hometown.  Either way we

love him....big time.  Emmy and I were lucky enough to attend one of

his two concerts at the North Carolina State Fair. Emmy being the social butterfly that she is was invited and attended both concerts.  She also went to Tuesday night's concert with her best friend Alyssa from school.  Yeah she's a lucky girl.  Needless to say we were super excited. We went with my sweet SNL Kristen and my darling neice Elise who happens to be Emmy's BFF.  Kristen is always the one with a camera so here are some pics that she took.

It was a good concert and a fun time.  We tried to buy his Christmas cd but it was sold out by the time Emmy and Elise got through the line.  That was actually a good thing because Wal-mart sells it for half the price.  Life is good.

 

 

End of Summer

We went down for one last beach trip of the summer in September and can I just say it had to be the most beautiful day ever at Topsail Island.  My sweet friend Jenny went with us to take some family pictures and she did a wonderful job.  The sky was blue, the sun was shinning,

the dolpins were swimming, and the ocean was warm.  It was perfection.  Here are some

Birthday Time



Emmy and Ally both had a birthday this summer.  Emmy turned 11 and Ally turned five and was able to get her ears pierced.  Something she has been dieing to do. Ally also wanted to have her party at Chucky Cheese so we did.  We even added Emmy to the party and she had a blast.  We usually have about 3 parties per child so it was nice to combine some.

 They still love all the games and I'm glad because it's hard to find a way to entertain all four kids.

Ahhh, We Love Summer

We have had a blast this summer.  Going to the pool with our

friends has been the best way to spend it.  Not to mention

beach trips and flag football games for the boy.  It's almost over and I'm that

makes me sad.  I wish we had more slow, lazy summer days ahead of us.  But I can't think of a better way to end the summer than with Fall.  So here are just of few of the pics I took this summer.

 Ally learned how to swim this summer.  Only I wish she could swim as well as she thinks she can.  I think out of all of my kids she enjoys the water the most.

 Here Parker and her cousin Paige are enjoying snacking by the pool.  Always a favorite.

 Emmy and Elise spend a lot of time in the middle of the pool. I would wonder what they are doing, but I'm sure it's lots of girl talk and being super silly.

 And of course the boy had a blast.  We can't wait until we can do it again next year.

Emmy's 5th Grade Graduation

Emmy is growing up!! I can't hardly stand it.  She will be in middle school

 this year and recently had her 5th grade graduation.  It was short and

sweet, just the way we like it. 

She had a great year and we will really miss Timber Drive, but she's super

excited about going to middle school and so is her BFF Abby.

 Sydney, Ashlyn, Emmy....Emmy is by far the shortest of all her friends.  We

hope she gets a bottom locker next year because I don't think she'll be able

to reach the hooks in the top:))

 The moms went in together and got the girls a limo to pick them up from school after graduation.  First they went to Pelicans and had a snow cone and then it took them to Kaze to have lunch.

They thought it was so fun, the only drawback is what will they be expecting when prom rolls

around.  Maybe a helicopter ride?

 

 Emmy is so lucky to have such a large group of good girls to hang out with.  I hope they will

continue to stay close, especially through middle school.

 Her best cousin Elise even got to go along for the ride and that is Emmy's

sweet friend Haven sitting beside her.  Such pretty girls.

 Here they are at Pelicans.  Can I just say it was over 100 degrees that day.  It was

so stinking hot. Gotta love NC.

 Even Charlesy and his best friend Hartley, who happens to be Haven's little

brother got to join in on the fun. 

Finally, we arrived at Kaze, a Japanese steak house, and had lunch.  It was fun

especially with the cool tricks the cooks did.  That little boy is Connel.  He has a slight

crush on Emmy and told her a few days before school got out that he considered her his

best friend.  He also said, "you're always nice to me and make me feel good about

myself."  How sweet is that??  That boys got great taste if I do say so myself.
