Cinnamon Rolls

I have found a really good recipe for cinnamon buns that even I can do and they are so good.

 They taste as good as they look. 

Here's the recipe.

Bread stick dough (I used Pillsbury crescent rolls just because I didn't have bread stick dough)

4 Tbs butter

4 Tbs sugar

1 tsp cinnamon

1Tbs instant vanilla pudding powder

glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1/2 Tbs milk

Preheat oven to 375 degrees, melt butter, grease muffin cups with butter. Mix sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla pudding powder in a small bowl.  Open dough and turn onto a lightly floured surface.  Butter each flat bread stick with a pastry brush.  Top generously with sugar mixture and roll up.  Place each in a muffin cup.  Butter again and sprinkle with remaining sugar mixture.  Bake for 15 minutes and cool on rack.  Top with glaze.

Boy an Their Toys

 My boy is crazy for these things.  My parents gave him a huge bucket full and he can't get enough of them. 

 Caden comes over almost every day after school and they play until dark.  I don't get it, but they do.

I priced them the other day at Target and Holy Cow!! Are these things made of gold? I don't see any Legos coming home with us anytime soon.  It's a good thing they're happy with what they have.  Thanks Mepa.

Thelma and Louise

 These two girls are the best of friends. 

 Parker loves to ride the gator and every time someone gets on it she thinks she's suppose to ride too.

 They love to cruise around.....

 
Ally always drives, and Parker is fine with that, but sometimes they both want to be in the driver's seat.  Just like a girl! And this way they get to snuggle with each other.

Unfortunately, sometimes girls don't look where they're going and they get stuck.  It's no fun when your wheels won't roll.

It's a good thing there are lots of siblings to help a sista out.

 Sometimes they even let the boy drive.

 Hey can be useful sometimes.

 But no matter how they roll they are always together.

Farm Days @ NCSU

 Friday the kids and I went to Farm Days on the State campus.  We got to see lots of farm animals.

 Bugga was amazed by the cow.  She really wanted it to come closer...until it did and then she ran away.  Emmy did the same thing.  She held hay out for the cow and when it came near her she dropped it.  It's all those horror movies with the killer cows they've been watching.  Just kidding, the cows are just much bigger when you're up close to them.

Of course their favorite was the horse and her little filly.  It showed off for us by running and kicking.  The kids were impressed with her tricks.

 Lovey held a baby chick for the first time.  Parker did too, but I was too busy trying to save it's live to take a pic.  Poor chick.

 All in all it was a really fun day.  I love how Charlesy had to wear his UNC shirt knowing he was going to be on State's campus.

 By far the best part of the day was the ice cream.  It was soooo yummy.  Is it me or does Parker have a really long tongue?

Gordonsville, Virginia

We went on vacation when the kids tracked out this month.  We went to Gordonsville, Viriginia.  It's located in central Virginia and it's horse country.  Our kids lurv horses.  They dream of them all the time and can't stop talking about them.  Emmy says she's going to marry a cowboy so they can have horses. 

 

These are the cabins.  They were cozy and it's a good thing because it rained the whole week.  On the two days it didn't rain they ground was so wet we couldn't ride these....Not a single time did we get to ride a horse.  The whole point of the trip was to go on trail rides.  Oh well, maybe next time.

 And may we can stay in these yurts.  I've never stayed in a yurt, but I would love to.
