A Beakthrough!

Cody and I got a new MAC computer, and until recently, it had turned my whole computer world upside down for the past two weeks. Kara, Angie, Danny and I had gone to the Rascal Flatts concert a couple of weeks ago, but I had no idea how to retrieve my pictures, or copy my pics over from my email. I finally have it figured out in a round about way. Thanks for the pic Angie! The concert was so much fun.

Time Out For Women

I went to Time Out for Women this weekend with my mother-n-law and sister-n-laws. We had such a good time. It was nice to have a break for a couple of days. Here are a few things that captivated me...

1. Keep life SIMPLE. The adversary keeps us busy on multiple trivial things.
2. Stillness... we need to set a time each day to just be still.
3. Be ENTHUSIASTIC! Be THANKFUL! Make life fun and enjoyable.(Sometimes I feel like I have lost my enthusiasim, its good for a reminder.)
4. Put your husband FIRST, and everything else will fall into place.
5. Instead of saying "What do you want to be when you grow up", say "WHO do you want to be when you grow up" (Someone who is kind, humble, meek etc.)
6. Life is not a COMPETITION!

My good husband watched the kids while I was gone. I was very impressed with Jersi's hair. Pigtails and all! Even a matching headband. Way to go honey!

Spiderman!!

Jersi loves to be just like her brother. She put this whole spiderman swim set on all by herself, and came walking out of her room saying "Mommy look at me!" Gotta love it!

BOSTON, NIAGRA FALLS, NEW YORK Oh my!

Ok, what can I say about Boston? I absolutley loved every minute of it. It is so charming, has so much history, and Cody and I spent a whole week there kidless. Johny and Corinne were so nice to let us bunk up with them for a couple of days. We walked the Freedom Trail where it takes you to Paul Revere's house, Old Iron Sides (The oldest boat in America's History to still be in working condition), old grave sites where people like Thomas Jefferson were buried etc. That evening we went to a Patriots game. That was the first NFL game Cody and I had ever been to. The stadium was amazing. The next day we saw Boston Harbor by taking a Lobster lunch cruise. There was food, music and fun! Cody said they didn't dance at dances at his Highschool, but I showed him a thing or two. He's pretty good, I am impressed. This was one of the highlights of the trip. After, we went to the New England Aquarium (which was amazing) and to an IMAX 3D shark attack movie. Pretty scary! On Saturday, we went to Concord, where the Revolutionary war started. I'd have to say this was my favorite history site. Later we went shopping down some fancy street with all the richie rich stores, and over to Boston Gardens. It was beautiful there. Then, Sunday we decided to rent a car and drive up to Niagra Falls. We met Abby, Todd and her kids up there too. We took a boat ride right up to the falls. It was so amazing and the only other word I can use to describe it is MAJESTIC! If you ever go, make sure you walk across the border to the Canadian side, it is much better over there. That evening Cody and I drove down to Palmayra and stayed the night there. The next morning we toured all the church sites. The Hill Cumorah, Joseph Smiths Farm, The Sacred Grove, The store where the Book Of Mormon was printed, and Whitmer's Farm where the church was organized. It was so awesome to be there and see everything come alive. Then, we were off to Ithica to stay with Abby and Todd for a night. We stayed up so late talking and having a good ole' time. It was hard to get up the next morning. Thanks Abby and Todd, we had a great time! We left somewhat early the next morning and drove to Cooperstown to go see the Baseball Hall of Fame. We wore our Red Sox's shirts that day to be prepared to go to a game, but it took us an hour longer then we thought to get back to Boston, and when we got to the Ballpark, the parking was horrible, the game had already started and we still didn't have tickets, so we bagged it and decided next time we go to Boston, that will be first on our list! OK, now that I have written a novel, THANK YOU so much to my inlaws and our neighbors for watching our kids, and thanks to the Wudels and the Runyans for letting us stay with them. We had the time of our lives!!

Crew's second day of Preschool

I was so sad to be out of town when Crew went to his first day of Preschool, but thanks to my Mother-n-law Christie, and Brooke Eagleston, he made it there. He loves it, and told me all about it, and we did end up getting a "2nd day of Preschool" picture!
