Christie's 60....

SURPRISE!!! Christie's 60! My mother-in-law turned 60 this year, so we just had to throw her a BIG BIRTHDAY BASH! We had it in an airplane hanger, so they just drove right into the party!

She had no idea!

She even catered her own party, without knowing it! We were pretty sneaky!

We sat our Queen Christie on her throne, boa and all, to pay her a tribute! We shared stories from family and friends...

...did a little song and dance all about her.....

...and showed a picture slideshow of her growing up!! She couldn't believe it!

Happy Birthday to our wonderful mother-in-law. We love you and appreciate all you do for all of our families!

Welcome cousin Kamryn to the family!! Congrats Kara and Tyson!

Grandma's Preschool!

Jersi and I got a SNEAK PEEK of my mom's new preschool room. Jersi loved it, and wanted to stay there forever. (Mom, can I play here for a long time?)

Even Denim wanted in on the action!

Not so bad...

CREW-DOG started school this week!

He was so excited !!

And, Jersi needed to be in on the action!!

Denim didn't quite make it over for picture taking. He's a lot slower walking, then his speedy Mowgli crawl, but he is enjoying it!

Crew gets to go to school with his Best Bud Nicholas! (Mom's are happy too, because we get to carpool!!=)

When it was time to go in, he was a little nervous, but anxious too.

Mom and Jersi were doing pretty good too, until Jersi saw him go up the steps and disappear into the classroom. She started balling, loudly. She thought he was never coming back. Of course, then I lost it.

Crew loves school, and Jersi is so excited to start preschool with Grandma!!

Summer Vacations!

VACATION #1

We went to the Shumway cabin for the 4th of July! We went down to Springerville for the annual parade. ( I love this piece of property behind us, such a cute house!)

Jersi loved the parade this year!

We had quite the Shumway group with us this year. Here's my dad, my bro. and Denim.

This parade is great, because they still throw out candy, and they even threw out

otter pops this year.

After the parade, we drive down to St. Johns every year for the big BBQ and the races.

This is a tradition we have been doing since I was a little girl.

The kids had fun playing with the SUPER bubble wands!

Off to the races! They start with the crawlers, and Denim got 2nd place! Way to go!!

Jersi ran her heart out...

All the participants get a box of cracker jacks... (Jersi couldn't see, the sun was too bright)

....and they've been doing this for years! Here's me and my sister and brother after the races years ago. (Gotta love the tucked in shirt, high pants, pinch and roll jeans, a few teeth missing and the puff bangs. Cute! And of course I was the biggest poser growing up!)

We had a great time riding quads, watching fireworks, fishing, eating and relaxing.

Always a fun tradition!

VACATION #2

We went to beautiful Sedona for an overnighter. We decided to go to Out of Africa the next day! Notice no Denim?? No the lion behind him did not eat him, My fab mother-in-law watched him for us, so we could just take the big kids!! They loved it!

Cody is such an animal guy. He is in heaven right now with this SNAKE! (So are these other two ladies...notice in these snake pics I am nowhere to be found!

The kids being SUPER brave!

They take you out to the SAFARI, were all the animals are free to roam, and you are driving around in a bus. Don't touch the zebras, they will bite your hand off.

Giraffes are safe, and of course Cody had to put the food in his mouth so the giraffe could retrieve it from there. (I didn't kiss him for days!=)

"Tiger Splash" was amazing. They had three huge tigers in this arena doing tricks.

They had a grizzly show too, and they were a bit more aggressive. I would not want to

be this guy!

We had a great time in Sedona, swimming, goofy golfing, eating, sight seeing and of course OUT OF AFRICA. It was great!

Vacation #3

These two great people...

...took my fam to Rosarito, Mexico. We had a blast!

(For some reason a lot of my pics would not download from my camera) I wish I would have gotten a pic of the grounds of where we stayed, it was beautiful. We were right on the beach, and the it was private too. We had a swimming pool and hot tub right out the front door and the kids loved it.

We went to FOXploration were they did the movie TITANIC, Master and Commander and a lot of other great "Ocean" movies. The kids are reenacting the famous TITANIC scene.

In Puerto Nuevo, they had amazing LOBSTER. So we had to go and partake!

The restaurant was beautiful...right on the beach!

Hey Jersi!

Denim thoroughly loved the beach this year! He was head to toe in sand.

Thanks Christie and Irv for the FUN time! We will forever remember the "El Taco Yaqui" runs, hot tub dips, $25 massages and just being lazy! Thank you!
