Another Vegas Trip

Date: May 22

We took off after school

and headed back to Vegas for the long weekend!

The older kids were super super excited

as they didn't get to join us last time.

And hadn't seen the new house yet.

And really they just completely adore Kyrrigan

and wanted to play nonstop with her!

Well usually it's a quick 4 hr breeze of a drive.

Well not at 5pm on a holiday weekend.

Needless to say it took us 5.5 hrs

and at one point were completely stopped on the freeway

watching people walk around the road

trying to figure out when we would move again.

We were so bored and antsy

that Taylee stood with her head out the sunroof 

talking to the other people and directing traffic! lol

Finally we started moving again and the kiddos fell asleep...

30 minutes before we got there.

Oh well!

Let the fun begin!

Little League Wrap Up

Date: May 14th

Anden had his final games of the season on

Wednesday and Thursday night.

They did awesome!!

They only lost 2 games all season!

Anden was a consistent slugger as usual.

I'm sure his batting average was at least .900!

We celebrated Thursday night after the game

with a Team Pizza Party!

The boys were hyper and crazy and loud

and just plain boys! lol

And now with Coaches!

Then the Coaches gave out awards and team balls to each kid.

This was such a great bunch of kids!

They did so well and learned so much!

Now we'll see if we can draft the same kids next season!

And on that note I tossed a very tired Laiklyn

off to Ryan and rushed out to my own 

championship softball game.

Hey who said playing was only for kids?! :)

Mother's Day

Date: May 9th

Happy Mother's Day

to all you wonderful selfless Mothers out there!

It's truly the hardest yet most rewarding job ever!

I love this quote.
It makes me realize just how special Motherhood really is!

My sweet little family really took care of me on Mother's Day

From balloons to life size cards to painted pots and flowers

to simply telling me they loved me!!

Oh how I love this family of mine!

I'm so blessed that they chose me to be their Mommy!

Anthem Water Park

Date: May 9th

The Anthem Water Park is officially open for the season.

And we were there to brave the cold weather and water!

(and we were about the ONLY ones there!)

It was an abnormal high of 75 that day

and I think the water was -75!

But the kids still partook of the frigid fun!

Owen spent the weekend with us

as his parents were out of town.

So the 3 older kids bounced back and forth

from the slides to the diving boards to the lap pool.

Then we might have done some sneaking to 

get Taylee on the waterslides.

C'mon people she's a 1/4 inch away in height!

So she was beyond ecstatic and drug Ryan along for the freezing fun!

Laiklyn and I stood at the bottom and cheered them on!

Then Ryan and Taylee decided to race each other down the slides.

Ready...

Set...GO!

And yes that's Ryan triumphantly cheering that he beat a 6 year old.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with that 200 lbs he has on her.

At least he carried her back to shore!

Anden and Owen being their usual nutty selves!

While Taylee is her usual self.

Funny how since she's been 1 year old I've found her 

dancing and singing on the outdoor speakers! lol

The kids warmed up and went back into the icy waters.

We chilled with Laiklyn on the dry warm chairs.

Since the poor kid couldn't get away from us

she got the camera in her face most of the afternoon! :)

Outta my way Daddy I wanna roam free!

Ryan went in for a little kiss.

Laiklyn had another plan

and licked him instead! lol

On that note we got the hint to leave her alone!

Into the frigid water she goes!

Since everyone else ran off to play

I joined Laiklyn on the edge of the icy pool

I protected her by keeping an eye out for icebergs

Eventually we wrangled together the kids for a family picture

Uh we quickly separated them at this point! lol
