Early Christmas

Since Jordan and I will be gone for Christmas, we decided to have Christmas early so we could play with our presents before leaving.

Last night after we got home from the temple we put on our new Christmas pajamas and Lexi wore her "Ho Ho Ho" bandana from last year. Jordan gave a wonderful Christmas lesson and we sang some carols.

Then we got to open our presents!

Lexi got a rawhide lollipop. I forgot to buy her a present. Oh well, she hasn't been that good this year...

Jordan and I got a Wii! We've been very good. Ha ha.

We were so surprised. Thanks, Santa!

Youth Temple Trip

Jordan and I are both very blessed to work with the youth. This is mostly awesome (because we get to be together a lot) but sometimes exhausting because youth calling are SO involved...especially in our ward.

We had a temple trip and since we'd been in Savannah, we drove from there to Macon (2 1/2 hours), spent the night, and then drove to Atlanta in the morning (another hour and a half) rather than driving home from Savannah (4 hours) and back to Atlanta in the morning (3 1/2 hours). Things are very spread out in Georgia.

Anyway, it was fun. We all had a good time and felt the spirit. Our youth are very cute. I wish I'd gotten some pictures with them, but they didn't want to walk over to the front of the temple (they'd all gotten up at about 5 am that morning for the trip). They told us we were cute for taking pictures together. When ever we hold hands my girls are like, "Awwwww! They look like teenagers!" I think it's hilarious they think teenagers are the pinnacle of romance. At least they don't call us Edward and Bella. Or Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. *shudder*

I gave a lesson on temple marriage in YW today so it was really good timing.

FDIC Holiday Party

This past Thursday was the holiday party for the FDIC. They had everyone go up to Savannah for the party, although I think we could have gotten the same bad food in Albany. At least we had good company.

Y'all who're worried that the government is blowing it's money on federal employees, don't worry too much about the FDIC. Even though their budget doesn't come from taxes (it comes from insurance fees from banks), for appearence's sake the Christmas budget was slashed and we ended up with a really crappy holiday dinner. The best part was the macaroni and cheese. Oh well.

We had fun hanging out with the Browns. It's nice to have Mormon friends along who can be sober with us.

Brinley was sooo funny. She was hilariously picky about her food, but she was tricked into eating bread pudding when Kristi told her it was ice cream.

The white elephant exchange was pretty funny. Derek ended up taking home his own present (on purpose). It was a nerf gun.

Jordan ended up with a picture frame that was pretty cute.

After the party Jordan and I walked along the river.

View from our room.

The next day we went to Forsyth park. It was REALLY warm so I ended up taking off my sweater. My undershirt was black so I looked gothic. It made me feel really uncomfortable.

We went geocaching with the Browns and found this in one of the parks. Fun!

We headed to Gigi's Cupcakes to get ridiculously expensive and delicious cupcakes. I would totally open my own Gigi's if I had $35,000 laying around.

After that we went our separate way from the Browns. They went back to Albany and we drove to Atlanta to meet the youth for the temple trip.
