Christmas '09

We had a great christmas this year....and I'm always sad to see it go!

We had our Gardner Christmas party on Wednesday where a very special visitor knocked on the door! The kids couldn't believe that Santa would come to OUR party!

They all took turns sitting on Santa's lap...even Jed...where he was told he had been much too naughty to get the motorbike he had requested...phew thank goodness!

We played a funny game named QUELF...funny...gotta try it!

Grandma & Grandpa Bracken were caught working together really well onthe kids sticker books....I guess we know what to get them next year!

Ninja turtle/Super TURKEY

My Mom gave the boys these Turkey hats at Thanksgiving....I have tried throwing them away several times...been caught every time!

Lately Brayden pretends it's some kind of mask and runs around fighting bad guys.

He cracks us up!

Christmas Cookie Time

Me and the boys made cookies the other night.

I am slowly letting go of all my semi-OCD traits and I let them frost and sprinkle their own cookeis.....

They don't look edible, but they are BEAUTIFUL!

Broc conveniently picked "build a snowman" out of his jar of things to do on the snowiest day yet! The snow was so pretty and it was fun to get all bundled up and go out and play in it.....although we missed Jed's building expertise....I'm not so good at rolling the snow balls...especially in my state of fattness! Broc did an awesome job...and when he went around back to find eyes and arms....I was trying to help....and dismantled his awesome snowman....we will try again when Dad is home to help!

Broc's jar...

The other night...Broc decided we should do something "Christmasy" every night. We did something similar last year, but this year Broc made out the list....typed it up...cut them out..and found a jar to store them in....He cracks me UP! His lists included things like....drink hot chocolate...go look at Chrismtas lights....the Christmas Oranges story (he loves chocoloate oranges)...snowball fight....build a snowman....and on....he did really well with his ideas!

I bought this gingerbread train at Target...so cute...and we made that today. I am terrible at this kind of stuff...so it's a good thing they are just interested in building it...and then eating it!

AND....

We have bunkbeds!!!

We have had these things stored in our garage since September...just waiting until Jed had the time to assemble them. We opened them up on Wednesday before Thanksgiving and discovered they had given us 2 of the same box of parts and one of the dressers was badly damaged! So we had to drive out to the warehouse for a second time and get it all straightened out. The boys were SO excited to share a room and sleep in bunkbeds.

It has taken a few nights to get Brayden used to it. He makes a few more trips out to our room for different requests. Hopefully in a few more nights he will be doing better.....Broc tends to get annoyed with him going up and down the ladder and flipping the light on and off.....but he eventually falls asleep!

The NEW "stinky gankies"...

The other day I found Brayden hoarding a new "stinky gankies".

He found the new pink minky that I bought to make a "gankies" out of.

He was getting a little to comfy with it, so I had to explain

that it was for the new baby and he couldn't have both...PLUS it's pink!

He eventually got over it, but I thought it was cute...

I wish I would've bought enough minky to make him a new

"UN-stinky gankies"!

We Shopped...

We had so much fun this year....as usual!

The company and the bus ride are usually the best part of the whole trip!

Halloween

The boys decided months ago that they wanted to be Mario & Luigi. It was so easy to just buy the costumes and be done. I couldn't get over how cute they looked in their little outfits...Brayden wore his hat backwards all night and he really got into his character...he was going around saying "It's me Luigi" with a strong Italian accent!

I joined in the fun and dressed up

as a prego skeleton!

We also had a little Halloween party and did a

few spooky tricks on the kids and played some fun games.

We had such a fun night!
