We're Back!

We made it safe and sound back from Las Vegas and had a blast!! It was so much fun and so nice to have a little vacation in the middle of what seems to be a never ending Winter. Liam was so good on the trip, I was worried for no reason as usual. He was so good on the plane both ways, he fell asleep right on take off then slept until we landed. He loved to walk around with us and hang in his stroller and people watch while we walked around the strip. Everyone we talked to said he was the cutest little boy and loved him. Random strangers asked if they could take his picture. We said yes, what else can you say when someone is adoring your son?
Liam and Daddy did some swimming in the hot tub, which was more like warm bath water so he loved it. We came back about $25 ahead thanks to Josh, but I did win $3.02 in which I totally cashed out. Auntie Sarah was such a great help as well, and we had a good time hanging out with her and Grandpa and Grandma. It was such a great trip and we can't wait to head to San Diego in 3 months!
While we were gone, Gus stayed at the Canine Country Club. He had a great time and was beat
when he got home. He didn't even move for the first day, and walked like an old timer for a few days.

It's Official

It's official, Liam is crawling!! He has been scooting around for a while now, but last night he actually crawled a couple of feet a few times. Now we have to baby proof the house. We don't have much to do, just cover the outlets and bolt his bookshelf to the wall so he can't pull it over.

Liam's 9 month ~ and some other stuff

Liam does not officially turn 9 months until the 22nd, but had his 9 month appointment today. He is doing so good and is a very healthy boy. He weighs 20.7 lbs and is 29.5 inches long. She said he is pretty big for his age, being in the 90% for head circumference and weight, and in the 70% for height. They didn't do any vaccinations, he won't get those until 12 months, but they did do a finger poke for some blood work. So, it was a good day at the Dr. (all except for driving there in the snow storm).

We planned a pretty chill Valentine's Day, we just got some pizza and stayed home and hung out just the three of us as a family and it was great! It was nice not to fight the crowds at the restaurants.

We are heading to Vegas soon for 3 nights. We are taking Liam, we figure it would be a great way to introduce him to being away from home because we are heading to San Diego in June. My Mom and Pete are going as well as Auntie Sarah so we should have plenty of help if we need it. It should be nice weather, in the mid 60s so we are so looking forward to that. Anyone who knows me is probably shocked at this news because I am such a structured person and don't really like to do anything outside of my comfort zone, especially with my baby. Lets just say that I am trying to stave off a mild panic attack and I am going to try so hard to go with the flow. We'll see what Josh has to say when we get back.

Nothing else really new with the Leatherows. We are expecting a baby niece here next month, her name is going to be Jaycee Elizabeth Watkins, daughter of Josh's sister Tess and her husband Blake. It will be fun to have a girl on the Leatherow side again.

No more spiders!!!

Yes, that's right, no more blogging in our spidery basement!! My wonderful husband bought us an early Valentine's Day gift from which I am blogging right now. He went out and bought us a very nice laptop today on his lunch!! We are both so excited, now we can do everything upstairs and watch movies in our bedroom and stuff. I am excited as well, it is so nice to be sitting here on the couch wrapped up in my blanket. Thanks babe!!
Well, we had a "crappy" end to our weekend. Liam has had a stomach problem since Sunday morning. He isn't throwing up (knock on wood) just problems with his pooper. Today, I have changed 10 poopy diapers so far and I'm sure he is not done. The Dr. said there is stomach flu going around and that is what he more than likely has. So, just to keep plenty of fluids in him. I felt sick all day as well, as did Josh at work. So, sounds like the flu bug is hanging out in the Leatherow household.

Not Much New

So, like the title states there is nothing really new going on in the Leatherow household. Liam finally had all 3 top teeth break through so he is much happier. He is still not crawling, but getting closer. He is so darn cute and such a happy little guy.

We went out with some friends last night, Dave and Aleece and that was a lot of fun. We went to dinner, then just back to their house to play cards and have dessert. Liam got to spend the evening with Grandma and Grandpa and they had a lot of fun. It was nice to get out.
