Great Thanksgiving

We had such a great Thanksgiving!! It was at our home this year, so for being a first time Host and Hostess, I think we did a great job!! Thanks to my dad for buying the fresh turkey this year, it was yummy and not hard to cook at all. What made it even better is that we didn't have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to cook it. We put it in one of those Reynolds oven bags and three hours later it was done!! The rest of the food was great thanks to Mom and Gram, as well as the company. We also got to fill up our new kitchen table for the first time, and all 8 of us fit just fine.

After dinner, we had our annual screening of Christmas Vacation which is my all time favorite Christmas movie. Sarah provided the yummy pies and that about wrapped up our evening!! Thanks to all who made it such a wonderful holiday! Liam was so good and loved having his family around!! Enjoy the pics!!

18 Months

Liam turned 18 months this week and also had his check-up. We had to fill out this Autism questioner that they give everyone at this particular check-up, in which he passed with no trouble at all. He is right on with all of his developmental stuff, in fact his Dr. was very impressed that when she asked him he pointed to his head, eyes, nose, mouth and belly. He also says about 10 words or so. He is still sooo tall!! He is now off the charts for his height, and here are the rest of his stats:

Height 35 inches - +100%

Weight 28.5 lbs - 80%

Head 49 cm - 75%

The Dr. said he is still a very big, strong healthy boy. He also had his last shot, (minus the H1N1 booster that he will get in a few weeks) until Kindergarten which makes me, and him I'm sure, so happy. We love our boy so very much and are so thankful that he is healthy thus far. He is so fun and such a tender heart. We love you Magoo!!

Christmas Tree

A little over a week ago, we went and picked out our Christmas tree!! We decided to throw out our old artificial ones when we moved and try the real thing this year. I thought it would be more fun for Liam to have real Christmas trees like we did growing up, instead of the fake ones. But, we'll see how this year goes, I'm not making any promises. Anyway, there is a tree farm out in Farr West and they let you go and tag which tree you want, then the week after Thanksgiving you can go and cut it down. I think we got a really great tree, it's about 10 feet tall and we don't have to cut it down too much because we have a vaulted ceiling in the Family Room where it will go. All of the trees smelled so good, I cant wait to have that smell in our house for the season. So, I will post pics of when we go and cut it down, that should be great fun since we really don't know what we are doing and they don't help you. Oh well, how hard can cutting down a tree be? Maybe we will bring some backup, just so the tree doesn't fall on anyone...namely Liam. Enjoy the pics!!

Our New Views

I know I promised like 2 weeks ago that I would post some pics of the new house. I am not going to post pics of the front of the house because it has our address in big numbers, just a safety thing sorry. I haven't taken any of the inside of the house because we are still getting it to where we want it, so I will post some soon. The above pics are of the backyard and the view from our front porch. The first 3 pics are looking from our back patio at the park that we love so much. The last 2 were taken from our front porch. We are loving our house so much. We are waiting until Spring to get new carpet and have the hardwood refinished, so until then we are just doing simple updates. Oh ya, I am hosting Thanksgiving!! I guess I better look up a good way to make a turkey on the Internet. Anyway, more pics to come soon.

We Moved!!

Okay, I have a great reason for being such a blog slacker, we moved!!! The last month has been so crazy with selling our house, packing, and then trying to buy the new house and all of the garbage we had to go through for the whole process. Selling our house was great, the girl who bought it was so easy to work with and it went really smooth. The buying of the new house however was such a hassle. I won't go into all of the details, most of you know them. Lets just say there are a lot of dishonest people in the real estate business. Our Realtor was so great, the other one not so good. Anyway, our house was so worth the hassle we all love it so much!! Liam and Gus are so happy to be able to run around in all of our new space. Liam has a huge play room that he loves, and the backyard is wonderful. We have a park right in the backyard that we visit everyday more than once. I will post some pics once I find the cord to attach to the camera so I can load them. I just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know we are still alive, just busy unpacking and playing in the new home!!
