Pinewood Derby

On Saturday, the scouts had the annual Pinewood Derby. The kids make their cars and race them down the track. Dave was in charge of getting the cars in place on the track and pushing the start button. Isaac got 3rd place over all and broke the track record twice! He is so excited and he gets to run his car at the district race. Isaac made a Pokemon themed car, he put a lot work into it and I think it looks pretty cool! Zoe had a blast watching the cars go down the track as well as walking up and down the bleachers! I'll let you know how he does at district.

Karate Tournament

A few weeks ago, Isaac had another Karate tournament. He earned first place in forms again, he was so exited and as usual we are so proud. He deserves it, he spends a lot of time practicing! There is another tournament coming up in about 3 weeks. I'll let you know how he does! Above, a picture of Isaac with his best bud, Caleb.

Cubscout Blue and Gold Banquet

In February, the Cub Scouts celebrated the yearly Blue and Gold Banquet. The kids are recognized for their accomplishments over the year. Isaac became a Webelo which is the 2 years between cub scouts and boy scouts. So he has one more year and then he'll be a boy scout!

Valentine's Day at Grandma and Grandpa Getty's

I was able to capture some cute pictures of the kids at my parent's house, although its impossible to get one picture with everyone smiling!

Karate school pics

Isaac's Karate school had school pictures taken of all the kids in the program. Its hard to see Isaac, he is in the second row, 3rd from the left. After the pictures, the kids did some sparring to get ready for a tournament. More on that later.

Cute pics and Snowy Days

Isabel and Zoe are having a great time together while I'm babysitting (and anytime they are together)! We were afraid there might be some jealousy but so far they adore each other!

I always have to try to get some cute pictures in of Zoe. She does smile but she stops before the camera can capture it. One of these days I'll get one of her!

Isaac had a lot of snow days this winter, last I heard they will not have to make up any days at the end of the school year like last year. That was no fun for him or us. We were all ready for the school year to be over!
