From really good to really bad!!

Last week........ started out so good! I received a beautiful bouquet of flowers for no reason. Cam sent them to me, "just because he loved me." I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. It was a great day! Flowers can make anyone have a good day!

Then, the following day...... I wrecked the truck! Yes, I wrecked the truck. Worst day ever. I went to the bank where Cam's business account is at. I simply just wanted to make a deposit. Normally he takes the deposits. This day, I thought I would do it! Well the drive thru is very narrow, obviously, and I scratched the whole passenger side of the truck. It was really bad. The bank thing was fine, just not the truck.
We were suppose to meet Cam for lunch and I was very scared! I met him inside, told him I wrecked the truck, and he came out to see the damage.
He said, "It's OK, don't worry about it." I know he was probally fuming inside, but he really made me feel better. I really am married to the best guy ever!!

This is Cam being really sad about his truck. He was doing some buffing work! It did look a lot better when he was finished with it, but still looks pretty bad.

There's the damage! That is actually pre-buffing! It looks a little better, or I might just be trying to convince myselft it looks better!!

He probally should not give me flowers anymore!!

Poor Sage and dang curly hair!!

I curse curly hair, and never ever liked mine!! Thank goodness Sage didn't get it quite as bad! I actually love her curly hair. She has perfect little curls. Semi straight/semi curly.
The other day, her hair was in "messy buns" pigtails. When we took it out at the end of the day, I had a flash back of my hair when I was younger! Seriously! My hair was just like that. Thank goodness for flat irons and lots of product!!
The sad thing.... she loved her hair looking like that, and had to have a bow put in!

Summer BBQ's

We had some friends over for a BBQ on Saturday. I love summer BBQ's. There is nothing better. For some reason, the weekend weather was a lot cooler. It was actually very nice. You could wear jeans and a jacket and it was perfect. It really made me crave fall. Now- summer is back and HOT!!
We had good food and good company! The Schofields- Ethan, Natalie, Kade, and Addi and the Fugals- Jay, Kara and Tyler came over. Sage has become such good friends with Kade and Addi. They go golfing with their dad's all the time. They love it.

Cam, Natalie, Kara, Jay and Tyler. Tyler is 10 months- he loved the watermelon. It was hillarious. He would get mad when he could not have anymore.

Sage by the fire! She is so dang cute!

Cam was our master chef! He made some dang good kabobs!!

Provo River Trail 1/2 Marathon

I ran the Provo River Trail 1/2 Marathon on Saturday. It was a big accomplishment for me. I was 18 weeks pregnant when I ran. I debated and debated whether or not to run. I had signed up for the run, and seriously, the very next day- I found out I was pregnant. I tried really hard to train the best I could, I just never really felt up to it!! The race came way to fast.
One of the girls I work with was running it too. So we went together, and I knew I would not be able to keep up with her! I planned on walk/running the race.
It was up Provo Canyon and it was so so cold. We were there at about 5:00 am, and didn't even start running until 7:00. I was so cold, I was numb. We started the run and I felt great! I was able to keep up with my friend, Nikki, and her friends until about mile 9. I then slowed my pace down, and hit mile 11, and my knee was killing me! My knee did not do well running down the hills at all. And I had to pee 3, yes 3 times. I ran a marathon a few years back and never once had to pee. At one point I even ran off the trail into the trees/bushes. That is how bad I had to go!! I felt great- all but my knee, so I did a walk/run for the last 2 miles, and finished the race. My time was slow, but I didn't even care. I finished!!
I know after this little baby, next summer, I will kill that 1/2 marathon! It felt great to run down the canyon and it was beautiful. I highly suggest this run to anyone.

After the race! Me and Nikki and Sage! Nikki did awesome. It was her first race ever, and she is now hooked!

Sage wears big girl PANTIES!

Sage is potty trained!!! Yay! One of the best days ever!
We started potty training her about 2 weeks ago. The first day was a nightmare! I completely gave up. We went through about 7 pairs of underwear in about 2 hours. I put a diaper back on her and gave up for a couple of days. I then decided three days later this is something that has to be done. So we tried it again. I brought the potty in the living room, some books, some more panties, and a sticker chart. It was amazing the second time around. It was like it clicked. We had a few accidents, but she did awesome. I was so proud of her.
The first time we tried to run some errands she ended up going pantiless in Maceys, in a dress (she had had an accident earlier). I am sure a few people got flashed, and ws had a few dirty looks, but who cares, we are potty training, right!!
Now we run errands in panties and potty in big people's toilets that flush really loud, according to Sage. We had to pull over twice going up to Salt Lake on Sunday, but it's all good.
She wears diapers at night- but panties all day! She has done great. I am very proud of her.

This is her using her little potty! Notice all the books, the toilet paper, and we have Kung Fu Panda playing on the TV.

She is so proud of her Tinkerbell panites.

Summer cool off...... Seven Peaks

This is how we stay cool in the summer sun! Seven Peaks! We try to go a couple times a week. We usually only last a few hours, but love every minute of it. Sage loves going with her cousins. We jump the waves in the wave pool, float the lazy river, and hang out in the kiddy pools. Good times.

Brooke and little baby Luke. He is so dang cute!

Hmmmmmm...... Dead Sexy

Creamed Peas and Potatoes

While in Idaho, we made Creamy Peas and Potatoes, a recipe that goes way back in our family! Thanks to Grandpa Cheney, we had fresh garden peas and red potatoes. We had to pod all the peas first. (Is that what you say.... pod the peas)? Hmmmmm. Well, Sage wanted to help, of course. She insisted on having her own bowl. When the bowl got full, she dumped them into my big bowl. It kept her entertained for like 45 min. She did not want to get down until every last pea was out of the shell. Such a good little helper!

She was concentrating so hard on getting all those little peas out!

Such a proud little pea podder!

This was the best part. My mom was telling my dad how good it was, and he needed to try it. So she gets the ladle, and this is what she comes up with. One little pea and a little cream. No potatoe. What the .......?

He was so sad... that was all he got. Too bad Dad!

Another trip to Idaho

I decided to go to Idaho last week for Mike, Lesli, and Dan's graduation. The three of them graduated from BYU Idaho. It was a quick decision, but I am so glad I went. Lesli is leaving to Texas with her husband Dan very soon. I am glad I had the week to spend some more time with her. I love hanging out with my folks too. It is always relaxing and care free. Dan's parents were there from Canada. My mom put together a big congrats BBQ for all of them. It was fun. It was cool to see them graduate. Congrats... Lesli, Dan, and Mike!!
