First Day of Kindergarten

I knew this milestone would come! And yes, I know it's "just kindergarten" but I really didn't want to send her to school today!
Sage was so ready for school today. She jumped right on that school bus. She didn't have any friends to sit by. She waved to me out her window and I wanted to get in the bus and ride with her so bad. I cried. I made Cam follow the bus to the school. I was thinking she would want to see me.... You know give me a hug. But, she was fine. She was so ready to go into the school. I quickly took another picture and she was gone. I then wanted to go into school with her. But, I didn't!!
I came home and counted down the hours for her to come home.
When she came home, she was excited to see me! I was glad! I missed her.
I knew I would be one of those moms who would cry! I'm ok with that.
I adore my little girls. If I could, I would hold their hands everywhere we go, and I plan on doing that as long as I can, or as long as they'll let me! I know they have to grow up, and I will let them, I just want to want it to slow down.

Mirror Lake- Camping

Our last camping rendezvous of the summer was up at Mirror Lake! One of our very favorite places to camp!
Cam and Sage went up on Friday. Reese and I met them on Saturday. The weather was a little rainy and very cold, but still a great time!
We fished, we hiked, we ate and hung out. I loved how there is no cell phone service! It's nice just to be with family! Such a good weekend! Love my little camper girls.

Sage gets ready for school!

Sage starts school (kindergarten) in 5 days! I'm having very very mixed emotions! I love my Gigi. She is such a big helper! Reese will miss her like crazy. I can't talk about it to much... I could possibly start to cry!!
So a week before her first day, she met her teacher, had the classic speech and hearing test, got her hair cut, and had 4 shots!
She's such a little trooper! She's growing up right before my eyes!

Idaho & Triathlon

A week after our school shopping trip we went up to Idaho for another weekend of non-stop action. And we went up there to do the RUSH triathlon again. Only this year, we did a team. Best way ever to do a triathlon. Les swam, Meg biked, and I ran. We did the Olympic, so props to us! But an even bigger shout out to Brooke. She did the whole thing and did awesome!!
So we did the Tri, which was so fun! I loved the run! Les did great swimming, so glad she didn't drowned. Meg killed it on the bike! We actually took second place. So there may not have been a lot of teams, but who needs to know that, right?? Brooke did amazing and took 1st place in her age group!
The boys golfed after the Tri. We took the kids to the park!
We had BBQ's, played games, and hung out! It was a great weekend. Love my Family!!

So Cam was to meet me in Idaho on Friday. But, he called that morning and informed me he had an accident at work. He had some alkaline/acid based chemical get in his eye and burnt it. He called me from the emergency room and let me know he was on his way to the eye doctor. He down played it... A lot. So, he convinced me to stay in Idaho and do the race. Had I known what was happening to him, I would have jumped in the car immediately! The first layer of his eye had been burnt off. They flushed 3L of saline through his eye, and basically had to play the waiting game. His vision was at 20/100. Terrible. It's been a week... The layer is slowly growing back, and his vision is at 20/40. The prognosis looks good, but time will tell. He is very lucky! I'm still feeling terrible about. It being there for him. Im so thankful his family was there to take care of him! His eye still looks so sore, so bloodshot, and painful. I am thankful for priesthood blessings and the how tough Cam is! Love him!

Mendenhall Family Reunion

All the Mendenhall clan got together in Logan for a quick get together/reunion!
It was fun to catch up with everybody. I love the Mendenhall's. I love how we can go months and months without seeing anyone and then get together again and it's just like old times!
It was fun to laugh about old times and look through old photos!
I miss Uncle Bill. I miss Grandma and Grandpa! I'm thankful for families and that they can be together forever!

Girls weekend/School Shopping

We've been school shopping with Aunts and cousins for as long as I can remember. There were a few years that it didn't happen...... Cousins moved away, we all got married, had babies, etc. Well me and my sisters all have girls starting school and have finally started up the school shopping tradition again!
It was one fun weekend. Lots and lots of shopping. The girls all did so well! And I loved being with my mom and sisters. We laughed and ate and shopped and ate and laughed some more!
I honestly can not wait for the next shopping trip!!

Summer, Summer, Summertime

Summer is quickly coming to an end!
I realized I needed to post some of the random pictures onto the blog!
Pictures from the reservoir, pictures of the girls hanging out/playing together, golfing with Sage, library story & movie times, and just hanging out with my silly girls!
I'm going to miss summer and hanging out everyday with those crazies!!
