Because I had such a short turnaround time to get the sign made, I just drew up some specifications and sent those and the font off to a sheet metal shop and never saw it in progress or knew how it would turn out. I jumped up and down when I saw the final result. I want one of these for my house! It wasn't terribly expensive, either, considering it is 5 feet long and made of brushed aluminum. I'll definitely want to do more projects with this company in the future. In their offices they had a floor made out of stainless steel.

silver sands beach, great salt lake

I took the kids here as a surprise. When they realized we were at an actual beach they shrieked with excitement. It was 40 degrees with dense, chilling fog, and they didn't want to leave even though we'd been there an hour. I can't wait to explore this place more under different weather and lighting conditions, it is unbelievably beautiful, and the sand really is silver...it shimmers and is very finely textured.
