Christmas Eve

We had such a wonderful Christmas Eve! We began with dinner and our Christmas Eve program at my aunt's house. We had so much fun with my extended family. Our program was wonderful and included a Christmas dance, songs, a Family Guy quiz, stories, and a dvd I made of pictures from Christmases of 1981-present. If we perform in the program my grandparents give us a present. They have always given us a box of cereal but this year all the adults got a candy bar and five bucks instead. My grandparents also give generous christmas money gifts, we sure appreciate it! (Doesn't my dad take great pictures?)

We then came back to my parent's house and opened our Christmas Eve jammies and ornaments, played our traditional nut game, and watched A Christmas Story. I love Christmas Eve and the wonderful spirit it brings!

Playing in the Snow

Tuesday afternoon the cousins came over to Joe's parents to play in the snow! McKinley's new snowsuit from my mom is so cute. These girls have so much fun together!

After about twenty minutes I went out to check on them again and McKinley was sitting way far away and was yelling, "Come get me mom!"

Naylor Family Christmas Party

Monday night we had the Naylor (Joe's mom's side) Christmas party. We went on the annual caroling hay ride, had soup and salad for dinner, played a white elephant gift game, and opened presents from Grandma Naylor. She gave all the grandchildren piggy banks with $5 in change. McKinley loved her piggy bank and carried it around all night! We had a fun night with Joe's extended family and McKinley loves to be with her cousins!
Jeremy found a HUGE icicle outside on Joe's parents roof. It got his pants wet and we teased him about peeing his pants for a while!

McKinley's Haircut

On Monday we went over to my cousin Mary's house so she could cut McKinley's hair. McKinley did such a good job of holding still and Mary made her hair look so cute. We had fun visiting and letting the kids play after. McKinley loved watching Ayden's turtle swim around and lay on the his rock. Thanks Mary for the haircut, lunch, letting us use your bathtub for an accident, and for letting us stay and visit!

Christmas Sunday

We spent Christmas Sunday at the Winward's home. The girls looked so cute in their matching dresses from Grandma Winward. We attended their sacrament where Nate was ordained as a priest. After we all ate dinner together and played games.
The kids watched a movie downstairs while the adults played a game upstairs. When I went to check on them McKinley had fallen asleep. I ran up to get my camera and by the time I got back Natalie had started to wake up McKinley so her eyes are semi-open in the picture. She loves her cousins and they wear her out!

GPS

My dad upgraded his GPS and gave us his old one. Joe loves it! Yes, the pictures are of him using the GPS from my parent's house to his parent's house. We didn't want to get lost! Thanks Dad!

Scrooge

Saturday we were able to go the Hale Center Theater for The Christmas Carol. My extended family has gone to this play every year since I can remember. It is fun to hang out as a family, laugh at our favorite parts (and his nightcap, the goose as big as me, and the ghost of Christmas past- oh Brady!), get treats during intermission, and get into the Christmas spirit. This year my grandparents bought all of us a HCT ornament for our tree!

Making Candy

Last Thursday night we drove up Kaysville to hang out with Joe's family. We spent the night with Emily and Devin and had fun eating dinner at Wingers, watching Elf, and playing the playstation. Devin made pancakes in the morning and even made McKinley a Mickey Mouse pancake! McKinley played with their nephew Blake and they had so much fun spinning each other around in the chair and in the blanket tent Emily made them. Thanks for letting us stay at your house guys!
Friday we made candy with all the Naylor side girls. It was fun to visit and make and eat yummy treats! McKinley had tons of fun playing with her cousins Emma, Caleb, Natalie, and Kesley.

McKinley was so tired by the end of the day. Joe grabbed her blanket, put her on his lap, and she seriously was out in two seconds. She slept the whole way back to Orem and slept through us putting her jammies on and getting her to bed. She played hard!
