Jace - 18 Months

So I took Jace in for his 18 mo appointment a couple of weeks ago and here is where he was at.

Weight - 20lbs 5 oz (5th percentile)

Length - 33 in (75th percentile) - although I think they measured wrong. Nate measured him and said he was 31.5 in.

He is at a fun age where he is learning new things everyday.

Words he says pretty clearly are:

Mom, Dad, Ball, Bubbles, Please, Cheese, Up, Help, Bath, Down

He says a lot more, but they are only sounds that I can decipher what he is trying to say.

Things he enjoys doing:

Playing with Callie or teasing her

Dancing

Singing

Being outside

Climbing

Taking baths

Playing with any type of ball

Helping me cook and clean

He is so much fun!

They love to play in the bathroom sink. Callie pretends that she is a bird and it is her nest.

Christmas

After getting home from my parent's house we put the kids to bed and got to work. And work we did. Nate and I did not get to sleep until 2:00am. Luckily we had wrapped all of the presents the night before or it would have been an all-nighter.

Jace decided to wake up at 4:45am. I got him out of his crib so he wouldn't wake Callie and then he cried until 7:00am when we finally just let him go and see his presents from Santa. I am not sure what his deal was. We tried giving him a bottle, rocking him, singing to him etc. and he would not calm down. Even after we let him see his new toys he just kept crying. Nate and I were exhausted.

This is what Santa left for Nate and me. Santa Claus and helpers spent a lot of time at our house. They had to clean off, take down and remove our old entertainment center and TV, then assemble the new console and re-hook up all of the electronics to the new TV.

Christmas was fun, but very tiring. After we opened presents in the morning, Nate and Callie took off to church while I stayed home with Jace who was sleeping. Then we were able to do video conferencing with Nate's family and open more presents. Our kids took a nap in the afternoon and then we went back down to my parents house to visit and open more presents. It was a busy day and I was so excited when bed time rolled around.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve Nate and I spent most of the day cleaning the house. In the evening we went down to Orem to spend Christmas Eve at my parent's house. We had a turkey dinner, sang songs and read the Christmas Story and Callie set-up her nativity set. The kids also had fun playing with Grandma & Grandpa's train set.

It was a tradition in my family to open one gift on Christmas Eve which was usually a new pair of pajamas. I have continued that tradition with my own family. Here is Callie and Jace (with and already tired mommy) in their new Christmas pajamas.
