Jace's Birthday

Jace turned 2 on Saturday, July 14.  For Jace's Birthday we went with a Jungle/Safari theme.  We had family over on Sunday for dinner.  The cake is courtesy of Wal-mart. It tasted good, but boy did it have a lot of frosting.

And it wouldn't be a party without a pinata.

Jace was spoiled and he loved all of his gifts.

This is a little video clip of Jace getting one of his presents from me and Nate on his actual Birthday on Saturday.  We gave him a tool bench since he is always trying to take Nate's tools to play with them.  He loved it and when family members arrived on Sunday he wanted to show all of them.

July so far

4th of July

We started out our morning on July 4th with a ward breakfast.  Shortly after breakfast, the kids gathered for our traditional neighborhood bike parade.

In the afternoon after naptime the kids played outside in the pool with Daddy while mommy cleaned and cooked dinner.

We decided to BBQ cabobs for dinner. Yummy!

That night we went to the neighborhood firework show.  It was a fun day, but the kids stayed up until almost 11:00pm so they were exhausted by the end and pretty tired the next day as well.

Callie had her Summer Dance Recital on June 30.  The theme was 'Mermaids and Magic' so I made this banner to decorate the back wall of the stage.  I was pretty excited about how cute it turned out.

Farm Country - Dairy Days

A couple weeks ago I took the kids to Farm Country for Dairy Days.  There was extra activities for the kids:  they got to make butter by shaking cream in a small container, make ice cream in a bag, ride a cow train, play a game herding cattle, another game roping cattle, and then one where they knocked down the milk bottles.  The kids loved it and had a good time.

My family also celebrated June Birthdays and Father's Day.  Callie and Jace helped with the corn.

This is one of Callie's presents from her Grandma Marx.  This jacket was mine when I was little.  All of my siblings had matching jackets with our first names embroidered on the front and last names on the back.

Ever since her daddy wore his watch one day when he took his test, Callie has wanted a watch.  Her aunt Cindy got her one and Callie wanted a picture with her daddy and her wearing their watches.
