Colors of Autumn

Leah and I went home for my brothers wedding.  I can't remember the last time I was home to see the changing colors of the leaves.  It was a completely beautiful weekend.  Colder than what we would have liked, but still beautiful.  This is Leah with Jack, my brothers dog.  We all have a soft spot for this adorable, loving dog.  I plan to go back and journal over the part of the circle that says "Hello". Just didn't do it before taking photo.

City Museum

When we go on vacation, we always go see family so that means Indiana or San Diego. This visit to Indy, we insisted on a road trip to other places and my parents decided they wanted to join. The three of us had never been to St Louis, so we decided the Gateway Arch and the kid on via Tumblr found the City Museum. Basically, it is adult style jungle gym aka gerbil tubes made out of iron, steel, and found objects. You have to have little to no fear of heights and tight spaces.  My problem is grates that you walk on. If I can see the possibility of falling, I freeze up! BUT since it was a forced family fun moment, you just do it. All had fun!

I have been thinking about starting a Project Life style album for my daughter's senior year, so I have been gearing up with products.  Shhh! Dont tell the husband, she is only a sophomore!  But I was worried I would have to give up completely traditional scrapbooking to make it not so overwhelming for that year, but was i going to like it?  I was so happy and a big THANK YOU to Allison and Simple Stories for teaming up and bring a hybrid product to life!  Loved the sketch for November (find here) and decided that this years pumpkin patch was the perfect opportunity to try it out.  I wish I could say it was easier, but I think this first attempted took just as much time for me as traditional scrapping. I believe, I just give myself to many choices, then I am afraid to cut the paper, what if I need it for something else?  Anyone else that way?  But I did it and I love the results!  I still laugh at the title card I chose.  Way out of my comfort zone, but I think that maybe why I like it!
