Done with it!

Well, you know how things don't last forever? This is true times infinity at our house. Seriously, I don't know of any other 5 kids that are harder on stuff than my 5 kids.

Okay, so maybe I am hard on stuff too! Whatever, it's not like this is a confession or anything. Geez! Don't go putting words in my mouth! Ahem...

My stupid kitchen faucet has been leaking for YEARS....seriously, I am SURE that it has been years! I was getting more and more bugged by it every time I had to turn it on and it spit water at me and all over the kitchen. Such a pain!! I asked Mike to replace it. I begged really.

So Mike being all cute and loverly and stuff went and bought a new faucet. That was like 2 months ago.

Okay fine! So I admit we had stuff going on.....like my surgery and stuff and he got a little sidetracked! Whatever!!

Anyway, we got all this rain and everybody in our neighborhood was flooding...'cept us, so Mike decided that was a good time to switch out the kitchen faucet!

Yay for my new faucet!!!

This is what happens when Sidney sneaks into my bathroom and tries to be a make-up artist. She actually ends up looking a little like a hooker. I'm just sayin'!

Looks like Mommy needs to do two things:
1. HIDE my make-up!
2. Give lessons on appropriate make-up application and usage!

1st grade program- 2011

Jonathan is our 1st grader this year and he has loved every second of it! He has the BEST teacher in the whole first grade at our school. She seriously is beyond awesome!! He reads like crazy and I am so impressed with how smart he is! (He takes after his dad of course!!)
Their program was all about dinosaurs and they sang some uber cute songs. My favorite was P-T-E-R-A-N-O-D-O-N spells Pteranodon...

She's had a birthday!!

...Shout Hooray! But don't do it anywhere near me because I am miffed that she is getting older!! She is my baby!! It's not fair that she keeps growing! Boo!

She enjoyed her day like none other! She got carted around to Rachel's ortho appointment, lunch at McDonald's, a nap....and then party-time!!

Yep, it was Rachel's turn to get some jewelry on those teeth of hers. Yay for Daddy's pocketbook! :)

In all honesty, I wish beyond all other wishes that my kids had my nice, lovely teeth...but no good. They got mystery genes! That means we get to do fun things like put metal bits on their teeth in the hopes in makes them straighter. Fun times!

Rachel was a trooper. I thought she would be gagging and coughing and so frustrated, but she did great! Must have been because she was so excited.

Mother's Day Tea

We were invited to a Mother's Day Tea Party at Mike's cousin Hailee's house. The theme was "Fancy Nancy". If you have never read one of these delightful children's books, then you need to google it right now to see how adorable they are. So anyway, we went through our dress-up clothes bin and picked out the "fanciest" stuff we had and then I bought us all feather boas to wear. We had fun dressing up, but the most fun was when we got to the tea party.
