Our little Dresden

Dresden has developed quite the little personality! He is a wild man! He climbs on everything(and everyone!). Lately he wants to be attached to me all day! I don't know where it came from but it's driving me crazy. Although I do get the best kisses and squeezes out of it! If he could be any where it would be outside! He can not get enough. He recently learned to ride Ava's little 4-wheeler. It's the funniest thing. He won't use his thumb to push the button, just his finger!

He loves to be tickled and chased! He also loves to pick up a blanket or shirt and put it on his head and walk around!

He is really into books too. I love it! He had a few that have textures so now he rubs his hand on the page looking for it on every book we read.

He is just growing up way to fast! I really do love having a boy! He makes me so happy!





The other day I opened the dishwasher and found this! Buzz just hanging out! It made me smile because I knew it was my little Dresden! The next day I found Bulls eye(the horse) in the fridge!

I loves to climb and rock back and forth! He has no fear!

This was about a week ago and now he is so good. He just cruises around the backyard all by himself! The next step will be making it look like a boy owns it! :)

Pre school crafts

I love when Ava gets home from school! When I get her off the bus she holds my hand all the way to the house. Which shouldn't seem like a big deal but she never wants to hold my hand!! Even if it's just because I want to be buddies! :) We talk about how her day was and then she says "I show you mom", and sits down to pull out whatever fun craft she did at school. She is loving it and is so proud of the things she does. She likes to show Dresden too. He just smiles at her! :)She is getting so good at coloring. All she want to do when Dresden goes down for his nap is color in her coloring books. She says "mom you like pink or yellow" and then throws me whatever one I say. She probably does it like 15 times while we are coloring. Preschool has been so great and we have missed it this week. It is her Spring Break! Here are a few of her crafts!




She came home with the cutest little pink chick! I told her to look at me and she grabbed the chicks head, turned it toward me and said "cheese"! She came home with such cute Easter stuff last week.

Warm weather

We were playing outside the other day and Ava was being so sweet with Dresden. She was helping him do everything. She was even pushing him on her old toy! He was so happy about it. I love how she kept her arms out forever and said "puuuush" every time. She CAN be the best big sister ever and Dresden(and me) are lucky to have her. I will probably have lots of random pictures of them together in the future but it's just so fun to see them have that bond! :)







I just liked this one of them. Dresden laughs at everything Ava does.

Down the stairs!!

Dresden learned how to go DOWN the stairs!! I'm so so happy about it. It's so nice to go up and down the stairs and get things done downstairs with out dragging the gate around! He stands at the top and dances around and then squats down to turn around. It took some practice, and Ava helped show him how but he is so good at it now. When she see's him standing at the top she always reminds him to "go on you belly"! It seems in the last month Dresden has changed so much. He is such a little monkey!! I feel like I can actually talk to him and he knows what I'm saying. It's so fun seeing his personality come out more. He is also so unhappy without Ava! Words can not explain how much that kid adores her. I love watching them wrestle around together. I'm not looking forward to the day when he is not asleep when she is at preschool. He is learning so much right now and becoming such a big boy!

He loves to throw EVERYTHING down the stairs and then go it! :) And yes we play with toys on the landing ALOT!

Silly girl

Well we are back to regular life again. I still miss our vacation. It was so nice to have Eric all to ourselves and be away from everything. Good thing there is another break in three weeks!

Ava has been pretty good at entertaining herself lately. I was getting some stuff done and came out to her dresses like this. She said "got my purse, hat, shoes, baby, pen, and notebook." I grabbed a picture. She walked in the kitchen, sat down and started writing in her notebook. She loves to make grocery lists so she was talking about what she needed. I had to get the camera again is was just so Ava!

Later that day when Dresden was awake. I heard Ava say "mom look". I came out to find her doing this with Dresden. He was just laying there with no idea what was going on. But I think he liked it! My camera didn't have the flash on but you get the idea. I LOVE that Ava is nice to Dresden. Even when he is bugging her she just puts up with it! But she thought it looked pretty fun and wanted a turn herself. She is such a silly girl.

Seal Beach: Day 4

We got up on Thursday, checked out and headed to breakfast with the Kinghorns and Winwards. They all headed home but we decided to go to Seal Beach to let the kids play in the sand. As soon as we told Ava she couldn't stop talking about it! She was so excited to get there. We walked the pier first. It was a little windy but they had fun chasing the birds! Especially Dresden, he was being so cute and didn't want to do anything but get those birds! Ava was to excited about the beach part. It was so fun to play together as a family. I tried to take as many pictures as I could but then put the camera down and just enjoy playing with them! It was almost the best part of the vacation! Ava was in heaven on the beach! All she wanted to do is build a big castle. She could have stayed there all day. Dresden kept heading toward the water!(and of course the birds) It was a great ending to our little vacation!

Dre loves his dog! Every time I give it to him he squeezes it and sometimes even gives it a kiss! He just held onto it on the way to the beach!

Disneyland Day 3

Day 3 was also a blast! Our other friends, the Wagstaffs and Andrews were there. We were all staying right next to each other in the hotel so we all walked over together and went on a couple rides. We really hit pretty much everything we wanted to at least once. We didn't have to wait in line longer than 20 minutes. It was the perfect time to go! We went to both parks again today as well. We really wanted to see some princess's but the line was about an hour wait. So we let her pick out a toy in the little princess shop (a cute Ariel barbie) and she was happy! We also met up with our friends Brock and Nicole who were there with his family. It was fun hanging out and taking a break for a minute. It was so sad at the end of the day knowing it was our last one at the park! I could have used just one more day! It's just such a fun place and seeing how happy both the kids were made it all worth it. I am looking forward to going back soon!

If you didn't notice before, Ava had been wearing ONE hello kitty earring the whole time. The other on was home. One time I just tried to take it out while she was sleeping...she kinda woke up got mad and then went back to sleep with her hand over her ear! Some of the characters noticed too. Tinkerbell asked her about it and then said she would look for it in the land of lost things! haha!:) SO when I saw these cute crown earring I thought it was my chance to finally get the one earring out! It worked and her and McKinley had cute matching earrings!

Ava is still talking about this ride! Of course it's the ride I didn't go on.( I was buying a hoodie cause I left mine at the hotel..darn:). Apparently it was pretty cool!

Yea for one Princess! We caught Cinderella on the California side.

Playhouse Disney was so fun. That's what Ava thinks about when she see's the characters. She loved it. You couldn't use a flash so some of them are dark of the kids but she was so into it! And Dresden was just clapping away!




Karrissa and I were twinners after I got my new hoodie!

Another highlight was the Monsters Inc ride. So cute. Seriously no one was there so we went twice and didn't have to wait at all!


We walked out and the Incredibles were standing right outside the ride. I think Ava was a little shocked because this is as close as she would get!
Dresden wasn't afraid though! :)

The 3D bugs life show was so cute. Ava had her ears covered and she was holding on to me but when it was over she said it was fun!
