I’ve decided I’m going to write a letter to the Franchise folks to put a QT in close to my house in Detroit. I think it would be a great addition to the community!
We left Detroit Thursday morning at 6am and headed out on a 3 week tour of vacation, preaching, family reunion, national conference, and fun. We arrived at 2:30 in Altoona to see Grandpa at the track as Jackson was ready to help Grandpa work on the horses. Right after this picture was taken, dad said he saw Jackson lean over and kiss the horse on the nose!
I remember being this age in this same situation…
They left the backside around 11 Thursday night and by 6am Friday they were already back to work. Jackson has been right in the action all morning helping Dad and Brad treat horses!
We spent the afternoon at Adventureland riding rides, watching exotic animals, going to a couple of circus acts, and playing in the water!
We ended the day back at the track for a prime rib dinner buffet. And out of nowhere, Jan and Rock show up! They came up for a farm meeting and just happened to be able to join us for a surprise dinner!
Jackson had big plans to go back to the barn after dinner, but sleep overtook him and we carried him back to the hotel. We met Grandpa at McDonalds at 6am for breakfast before getting back on the road. We are headed to Wichita for lunch and then on in to Booker for the night.
Thanks Grandpa and Grandmom for a great 2 days!
Jackson played out in the sprinkler again this afternoon and while I was sitting there watching, he thought I needed some pampering and gave me a pedicure! He’s learning early about foot washing!
Tickets arrived today for the Sept 3rd Football Game of the Detroit Lions playing the Buffalo Bills in a pre-season game. We got 20 tickets and will be celebrating Jackson’s 6th Birthday at the field!!!! (When tickets are only $5 we can actually afford 20 tickets for friends and family!)
Look who FINALLY got out of the hospital 6 weeks later…
We picked up my Sequoia at 9:15 and headed back to the Secretary of State to get her tagged for Michigan and to get my MI Drivers License. The line wasn’t that bad this time… I walked in and there were only 5 people in line and about 12 sitting in the waiting area. 45 minutes later I’m walking out with tags for the Vue and Sequoia, and my US/Canada license! 
And it’s a very warm day, so Jackson is celebrating with some sprinkler fun!
Just got done with our first peace march for our neighborhood!! The police chief, new high school principal, our state representative, other community activists all together and prayed over this land!!!!!!
Finally put the finishing touches on Jackson room by hanging his sports pennants, posters, and prized pictures. Another project completed!!!
We’ve been told that we need to get a BIG dog for intimidation purposes so after looking at the pound and online, we found Greyhound Rescues. We had our initial qualification visit, home visit from a foster, and finally got matched with our dog. Tonight we got to finalize the adoption of Bobby Gibson!
Bobby follows Jack all over the house, but sleeps right by me!
