I have been saying for the past couple months that I thought it was a boy and Stephen is excited about evening things out. We also received a great baby gift today - a huge tub of hand me down boy clothes! God is so good.

crawling... welll... a little bit

Mary Beth is finally getting it. Crawling is definitely not her favorite mode of transportation but she'll do it if you put enough cheerios out of reach. Hopefully she'll master it soon and I'll try to get a better video... but I thought you might enjoy watching my attempts to catch it on video.

adventures in eating

While Mary Beth was eating lunch today she was so proud of her messy face so I had to grab the camera - then I realized that I hadn't posted about her eating habits in a while.

At her 9 month check up the pediatrician said she could have stage 3 baby foods and that we could start introducing table food too. Anything except fish and peanut products. She loves feeding herself (we've been doing those melt in your mouth self feeding things for a while) so we jumped right in. Her favorites so far are chicken, grilled cheese sandwiches, and macaroni and cheese.
Thats definitely my kid!

You can see all her bottom teeth in this pic. She has 3 more on top and 1 more about to pop through but I never seem to get pictures of them.

dance before the Lord with all your might...

Mary Beth loves to dance anytime music comes on. Sometimes she claps too but I didn't catch that on video. Her favorite song is the Happy Song by Chris Tomlin. We play it several times a day. You can kind of hear it in the background but its also on our playlist to the right.

Spring Fling

This afternoon we went downtown to walk around at Spring Fling. I heard that it was quite the party scene Saturday evening, but with no alcohol sales on Sunday it was great family time. There was a lot of rides and blow up thingies which I know Mary Beth will enjoy a few years - But for a 10 month old staring at all the people was fun enough.






She really liked the circus show.

Quick Trip to Louisville

Last week we made a fast trip to Louisville for the
Center for Youth Ministry Senior Celebration.


Mary Beth got her big girl car seat this week and did
pretty well during the 7 hour trip.


Stephen was recognized as a graduating senior and also received the Professor's Award.
We are so proud of everything he's accomplished.


Before leaving, we took one last walk and said goodbye to the campus.
(We wont be going back for graduation next week, but look forward to the happy day in a few weeks when we get the diploma in the mail -
I'll post a picture when we get it!)

Mary Beth still did okay on the trip back, but was not excited to spend another day in the car. When we stopped at a drive thru and pulled over to eat we let her play in the backseat. She tried to convince us to let her ride there... but safety first.
