What makes a mother of two SO happy?

It has been two and a half weeks since the time change and also since we moved Mary Beth into her toddler bed. It has also been two and a half weeks since we've gone to bed at a decent time or taken normal naps.
Today was the day!
Praise the Lord for sleeping babies!
I'm so excited to have time to get caught up on laundry blogging!

AMRBC's New Building!

I realized that I never posted pictures of the new building and for all of my non-Anderson Mill readers you may like to take a peak! Of course, we'd much rather show you in person - so anytime you want to make a trip to Spartanburg we'd love to worship with you in our new facilities.

New Adventures at AMRBC

I'm beginning a new role as the wedding coordinator.

[I found my love for event planning while I was at Southern, thanks to Dr. Adams and the CYM. When we moved to Anderson Mill I told Stephen that one day they would be big enough to need an event coordinator and I wanted that job! Little did I know that less than 2 years later I would have the opportunity to serve in my new found niche of wedding planning.]

I am having a ball! I just love it! Meeting with couples who are borderline "I'm about to stress out" and being able to work with them, ease their stress, and take care of the details for them is the best feeling in the world.

God is good. His timing is perfect.
And He has blessed us far beyond our biggest dreams when He moved us across the country to be part of Anderson Mill!

How much is your beard worth?

Tonight at our youth auction we raised almost $7,000.00 for our student choir.
The generosity of our church family blows me away.

Bucky and Stephen's goatees were auctioned off.
Literally, OFF - its gone - all gone.




$125.00 was the price for these two tufts of hair.

5th Anniversary Trip

Last week we celebrated our 5 year anniversary so I took Laura to the beach, a chance to getaway from diapers, feedings, laundry, and dishes.

We began our trip in historic Charleston with a stroll around Colonial Lake. The Old-Timey Row houses made a pretty cool scene as we started our relaxing childless time away.

After the quick stroll we headed to the Visitor's center to get a good idea of what Charleston was like. It was an adventure in itself.



After the visitor's center, we went to a park right at the Marina. It was pretty cool and Laura got to act like a kid again.

We got a good deal on Priceline for this fancy hotel on Isle of Palms. It was really a lot like staying at home. (that would be sarcasm)
